The Good-
The NVIDIA Ion LE graphics card is great. I use the Revo to watch .avi file and .mkv files. Note: these files dont play strait out of the box you need to use coreavc codecs and windows media classic home theatre (free download just google it)
There are 6 usb ports for easy access
Hdmi and VGA outputs - I use HDMI with my sony bravia t.v.
It comes with a keyboard and mouse... both work great but you may want to upgrade them eventually.
esata port works great if you have an external hard drive that supports it.
_________________________________________________________
The Cons
LOTS of crapware out of the box really slows down the computer so be sure to uninstall it.
No Wireless card in it but you can buy a usb one for a reasonable price.
You cant upgrade any of the hardware without voiding your warranty - this includes the hard drive and ram!

So i've had the archos 5 android 160gb tablet for two days now and I could not be more happier. I think your satisfaction depends on what you want to use it for. I bought it so I could browse the internet and put my entire anime collection in it. These two purposes have been fulfilled. the A5A has the fastest web browser, even faster than my iphone 3g's. I like the fact that you can easily read the text on webpages without having to zoom. On the video front; it has played all my videos very perfectly. There are some that I cant fast forward but i think its because they are encoded differently, they are however viewable. one thing that it doesnt have yet, is flash 10. you can't view flash videos within their webpage, nor can you go to the full version of youtube and watch videos. you can watch videos in the mobile version of youtube site, but i can't ever seem to find the same videos there are in the full version.

The ac adapter failed and Wendy the supervisor at ASUS gave me the run-around and will not honor the 1 year warranty. The warranty card plainly states that the warranty covers everything but, the battery or free accessories such as mice or laptop bag. She says that excludes them from covering the AC adapter that is integral to using the laptop. I contend that the AC Adapter is not a free accessory. Wendy is at the Customer Support Line they keep putting in these review responses and their job is to tell you that your warranty does not mean what it reads. I believe they have made a business decision to not stand behind these because they have a high failure rate on the AC adapter. I believe it will cost them more in unhappy customers than they gain by cheating us out of our warranty. I have bought many ASUS products in the past and thought they were a reputable company. I can not recommend them in the future.

This netbook is fine, however the power supply failed in less than 4 weeks. I read reviews from others, and hoped that Asus would have fixed the power supply problem by now. I was wrong. Asus customer sevice was terrible... they refused to replace the defective power supply. Unfortunately from this experience I have to recommend that you avoid Asus products (they could have had a happy customer if they'd just replace a defective power supply).

Well built and nice looking product. The rounded edges and sleek lines of this netbook are really nice. It has a subdued pattern on the lid that is unique. Other Features that I like are the keyboard and built in webcam.

I had a problem with battery not holding charge. BB sent me an entire new computer in a week and the new one works fine. I tested my new battery, fully charged to dead- 3 hrs and 16min. I thought that was okay. I always plug it into a wall so it really not a huge issue.
As far as the small keyboard, your fingers adapt within the first few times using it. Overall a great little netbook and have recommended it.

Right out of the box I had ! seemingly major issue. I had to Shift+F8, or something, eventually Entered VGA mode, to get the desktop image to show on my hdtv. Acer Customer Service was helpful, but did not think of the solution for me. I shut it down by the button, started it and pressed the key(s) they said, but I knew VGA was the port I had my monitor in, so I was lucky. Whew! Fixed!

The MacBook Pro 13" series is my first Mac computer and I LOVE it. I thought I would be lost in it, but on the contrary, I use it everyday and love it so far. I love the fact that it's so simple and I believe that it's definitely worth it to spend the money on it, that is if you have the money. Just like a PC you have to buy and install iWork, which is like MS Programs (Excel, Access, PowerPoint), but what's even better is that I can run Windows on my Mac!!! Windows 7 is out and already there are reports of problems with it, come on where has the quality gone?? Anyways, if you have the money, trust me go with a Mac you won't be disappointed. If you're a first time Mac user, allow time to get used to it and don't jump to conclusions right away. I have started using my Mac approximately a month ago and I have been fairly busy, so I haven't had the chance to play around with it, but I can't wait because I know it has soo much to offer. Plus just look around you and tell me if you notice a

I've had a lot of Macs before, both desktops and laptops, and this is one of the best I've owned. The display is crisp with vibrant colors. Some don't like the glare, but I find the brightness outweighs any issue with reflections. The addition of a lighted keyboard is helpful, and the scrollpad is marvelous, very iPhone-like. I also like the addition of a SD car slot, although it does stick out a bit. One less thing to carry around, and you can create a bootable card, which is kind of cool. Since lots of folks have extolled the virtues of the machine, let me explain where Apple stumbled. This computer comes with a user-serviceable hard drive and memory. Check Apple's site; they have instructions for how to replace a hard drive or add memory. But before you slam in a hard drive, beware. Most of the new MBPs come with a firmware update, EFI 1.7, installed. On some MBPs this has caused problems when copying large files. Apple refuses to acknowledge the problem; indeed, EFI 1.7 supplanted

I got my macbook pro 13" Before school started, im going for graphics/web design so getting a mac was a no brainer.
What I like is the amazing battery life, the bright, crisp color display, and it runs adobe creative suite with no problems, so the performance is great.
What i don't like is the screen resolution, 1280 by 800, way to small for what i do, another is the harddrive, 160GB, way to small for the $1,200 apple is asking and maybe the price could be a little cheaper.

I was a PC person my whole life and then made the move over to Apple. Seriously, Once you go Mac you never go back. Its such a breath of fresh air. I cant even begin to tell you everything I love about this computer. #1 reason to buy it is no virus's! you can never get tired of that. :)

I read the specs, liked the touch screen idea, so i bought it. I open the box, hook it up, start it, and come to find out it's the NON touch screen model. the reason i bought it was for the touch screen,,, going to see if i can get a refund.

Although I agree this is a cool netbook, I've had nothing but problems since I received it. It's been back to ASUS twice; I wonder if they test them before sending back to customers. I had four problems right out of the box: 1) usually will not start the first time; it appears windows fails to load. I'll see the first black screen, it appears to be starting, and then stays with either a grey or black screen. If I power off and re-start it will usually work. 2) sometimes while using the computer, it will crash and re-start. The message indicates it recovered from a serious error. 3) sometimes the screen will all of a sudden distort and I have to re-start to get it to work. 4) And finally the keyboard doesn't stay fastened down at the top (it would seem like an easy fix, I've noted it for repair twice and I still have the same problem. Both times they've re-loaded bios and the last time they replaced something (i think the screen). I'll be sending it back a third time with two

Read the 5 pages of support issues on this drive in Seagate's forums or the 30+ pages in Apple's forums (and note: this isn't an issue exclusive to Apple systems)... or read the reviews at Newegg... this drive has MAJOR reliability issues. Don't believe all these 5 star reviews from people who reviewed the drive the day they installed it. It will run great when you first put it in. But 15-60 days in you will start hearing clunking noises. Your system will start freezing for a second or two here or there. The drive's load cycle count will start to skyrocket (to the point that even under "normal" use the drive will fail within a year by Seagate's own numbers). If you're really unlucky, the drive will suddenly die. Don't play russian roulette with your data. Don't fall for this drive's relatively low price or nice specs. The most important spec in a hard drive is reliability. This one sucks.

It's so beautiful, full of features and very easy to use - But... I had to return it the next day because one of it's biggest problems is getting really hot after about 5 munities of usage. It came to the point when I had to put it down on the table because it was too warm to hold. Also, radio dependable on wifi service is a big minus for me, I had no connection 90% of the time. Vibrates a lot and it's a little bit noisy.
Overall - A huge disappointment.

Thought it would be a flawless product but I was wrong. 160GB model is VERY thick and heavy. Battery takes forever to charge and it heats up. After all the updates, device still lags. Not sure if it's processor or the 160GB hard drive. Along with that the accelerometer acts as it's confused. Sometimes, I have to turn it back and forth from landscape to portrait and back. But don't be too quick to judge.
As far as the operating system (android) and the capabilities of this device it's good. One of the biggest reasons that I like this product is that in order to put files in, all you have to do is "drag and drop." None of that nonsense that forces you to convert your files which take forever especially if you have really big files. Another reason why I like this device is the battery life. It surpassed my expectations. Once fully charged, I had it play a movie (on loop), turned on the wi-fi, blue tooth, gps, maxed the volume and set the screen to the brightest setting. 5 HOURS later

I'm one of 8 adult children - and the first one to get a netbook. Now 4 out of 8 own it - and the 5th one is looking! I thought I'd only use it occasionally, but since I first turned it on, I've used my PC less than twice a month. It's faster on the internet than anything I've ever used. I now use it for all my digital photo editing - I download over 500 images per month and spend hours working on them. One hint: I keep my music library on a thumb drive so I can plug and play it using Windows media Player on the Acer. I keep another thumb drive handy in case I need to print something. For any application I have found using a thumb drive is better than having duplicate files on two computers. Do not be afraid to buy this item. I will never be without my little red Acer! Acer Aspire One AOD150-1920 10.1-Inch Ruby Red Netbook - 6.5 Hour Battery Life I do recommend getting th 6.5 Hour battery (I can easily get 7-8 hours on it)

i also have a desktop pc that i hardly use now trying to get away from windows lately although vista sp2 wasn't to bad there is less maintenance with a linux/mac system not really any viruses to speak of don 't have to defrag the hard drive all of your settings pictures etc are in your home folder (easy to back up ) although its so stable there is not really any need to back it up. after being on windows for years you find a mac is easy to maintain not really any worry it just works you turn it on and go on with your day checking mail making appointments with the included calendar checking the weather on the dashboard surfing the web etc it still doesnt hurt to get the geek squad thing for a year or two just incase since its a laptop i would do that with any laptop but i love this thing :) a mac has a way of keeping ya organized and you do more work it seems more computing hehe

I bought this laptop (MacBook Pro) last week and have been very pleased with the performance. It was very simple to set up. I have used a PC (bought 3 of them) and I was very surprised how easy this computer was to set up and use. I bought the basic 13" MacBook Pro from Best Buy, took it home, set it up, and it has performed to my expectations. What is surprising to me is that the 2 megs of ram is more than enough if you intend to use this machine for basic tasks such as e-mail, internet, and some basic photo use. I began looking for a computer about 3 weeks ago and of course started with the usual suspects and after my research, I determined to go this route. I already want the Imac. I would recommend buying this computer and have found this to be a very pleasant experience.

Bought this on September 30th from amazon. Kept having problems with signal drops with my dlink-655 wireless router until yesterday November 8th the power adapter died abruptly with no apparent reason (I heard that it's not uncommon for this to happen with these adapters). So I called Asus customer service & after going through the troubleshooting process with their "technician" I was emailed an RMA form which I'm supposed to fax back to Asus with my credit card info (in case I decided to keep the bad adapter) Well their fax machine is not picking up. So when I call them again I'm told to keep trying since they don't know when their fax will be up again??? **************Update: To add insult to injury & after successfully faxing the aforementioned form. I received this email from Asus: "Unfortunately, our part department doesn't have part that you requested in stock. We submit your file and will send part out when we receive part." Go figure.
