Ughhhhhhh

I swore never to buy sony again after my last DVD cam screen stopped working but here i am again.
What sucks;
Can only film i wide screen format.
Must use SONY PICTURE UTILITY to import video. IT IS SLOW AND ANNOYING AND GENERALLY SUCKS. THEN THE VIDEO MUST BE CONVERTED TO ENABLE TO USE ANY PROGRAM OTHER THAN SONY.
AGAIN THIS IS SLOW AND ANNOYING AND I FEEL UNNECESSARY BUT FOR SOME REASON SONY CAN NOT RESIST DOING IT THIS WAY. MOST LIKELY I WILL THROW THIS CAMERA INTO THE TRASH JUST FOR THIS REASON.
Only Adobe sucks more when it comes forcing library features down the throats of the consumers.
I can only assume this is because we would never use their software unless forced to.
If you still feel you must buy this camera, email me and i will sell you this Piece of **** for half price

Hours of fun

If you're thinking about getting a Blu-ray player might as well get the PS3. Now that Netflix is available on the PS3, you can stream movies right to your TV. Tons of fun for everyone. Once I turn it on, I get lost for hours!

BEST CAMERA EVER

I purchased the camers for a trip to Disney with wife, children, and grandchildren. I recordered everything in high quality HD. When we got home we could not believe the quality of the picture and sound. It even shot great in low light conditions. I shot the fireworks and they came out great. I took movies of the night parade and they are great. I could not believe the differance between this and a regulad camcorder. THe only thing is you need a blue ray burner to record the movies. A regular dvd only hold 30 minuites of HD high quality. It took 10 DVD's to put it on disk. I have since upgraded to a blue ray burnner and everything is well. I would highly recommend this camcorder to anyone who has the money.

More than just Games

Buy the extra Remote Control because,the Gaming Control that comes with the Unit is great for games but, confusing when accessing Menus.
This item eliminates having multiple DVD players. One can Signup for Netflex and instantly download Live Stream movies. Save trips to the Video store, no more late fees. Unit does not have to be in the direct line of fire with the (separate purchase) remote control. One can control from another room. The Blue Ray disc player is great for its value. I believe it is just as good as more expensive models. Unit will hook to internet via LAN or Wireless.One does not have to be computer savy. I didn't buy it for the Games.
I am 67 years old and if I can hook it up to the Internet so can you. It's too easy. So to all you that are afraid of new technology I say "Try it, you will love it"

AMAZING!!!

I bought this camcorder 24 hours ago. I haven't used it too much yet, but so far it is amazing!! Easy to use, superb picture and video quality. At first we weren't impressed, but then we realized it wasn't in HD mode. Once we put it in HD mode, what a difference. I have a 65 inch tv and it looked fantastic. Haven't yet tried to download movies to pc, but picture download was super easy just like my Sony camera. I am a true fan of Sony. They are quality. You may pay a little more, but the end result is worth every penny.

Skipping and reseting in mid song FREQUENTLY

I've had this POC for about 8 months and have had trouble since it was new. First it was just cutting off songs and skipping to the next, but if you back it up it will play the cut off song fine the second try. Now it wants to constantly reset it self in mid play. This week it has gotten so bad it won't play for more than 10 or so songs before the screen goes to some weird color apple logo and resets. Has gotten to the point that it almost unusable. Reseting and re-syncing seems to help for a day or 2 but then it starts the problem all over again making it unusable until I can re-sync at home. I now carry my 3 yr old 30 gb as a back up as I play music all day at work. My 30gb is trouble free. Apple discussions is full of complaints about this problem and apple response to the issue is NO PROBLEM'S HERE FOLKS. Many have sent their 120's back to apple and gotten it back with the response from apple that it is working fine and the problem persists. And forget the 5 R solution  more

No Data Migration Kit; No WiFi - What is this, 2002?

If you buy this to replace an old unit, note this: a Data Migration Kit is not included. Instead, you must call Microsoft and order it for $12.90 (not including tax). The Data Migration Kit is required to move everything off the old unit's drive onto the new unit's drive. Unlike the PS3, this does not play Blu-Ray AND does not include a wireless network adapter (which costs an extra $80). That said, you can play Halo 3.

PS3 is alot better than Xbox 360

I hate Xbox 360 because you have to buy Microsoft cards to play online, and you need to buy internet adaptor, also your console gets overheated when you play all day 12 or 18 hours of playing, and you need to replace your batteries everytime it rans out. I recommend to all the people has Xbox 360 to switch to PS3 (PLAYSTATION 3) because PS3 has the very outstanding performance in gaming. In the Playstation 3 you can play movies HI-DEF with BLUE-RAY, play music anytime you want, put high quality photos on it or even videos and PS3 has a built in rechargeable battery inside the controller and if you want to recharge it, just connect the USB cord , simple it that. In PS3 you can buy stuff at PLAYSTATION STORE (PSS) like adds-on,demo,or games for your PS3 or PSP, but you also need to put money on your wallet or your account so you can be able to buy at PSS, some of the adds-on and games are free. Microsoft should lower the price, it's way overpriced

The 120gb hard disk for Xbox 360 is an excellent option for storing lots of demos and downloadable content, but it's way overpriced, considering that for the same price you can buy a 640GB portable hard disk from WD or Seagate.

Awesome Resolution

This is a gift for my wife for our anniversary, so I have had it hidden in the house without being able to play around with it too much. With what I have done with it and read about it just seems like it has all of the features that I would ever need. I have hooked it up to our 42" HDTV with an HDMI cable and it just looks amazing. Low light recording looks really good, the digital still at 10MP are great, image stabilization, records 5.1 audio... the list goes on. The only downside is the life of the battery between charges is not great at all, and I will be looking into getting a higher capacity battery some time in the future. Overall, great camcorder at a great price!

great system

great system does everything and even steams netflix to your tv now. that a lot for $299. the new ps3 games look and play fantastic. This is my central piece in my home entertainment system it gets a lot of us. i am very happy with it.

Lovin' it

Have had my PS3 for 10 days now so far i'm really enjoying though I haven't gotten any games yet but even without games it's proving to be quite enjoyable thanks to playstation home .

Xbox360 Elite

My friend got this system and let me tell you that this system is great. Sure it dosent have blueray like ps3 but it still has hd quality. Yes, it can still fail and get the red ring of death. But any system can fail that is just it. But the main thing is i dont get why they left the cable out but i already have one so i am not worried.
The games on the system are great they load faster. The system is not as loud as a lot of people clam it to be. And the system can let you play music while in game with ps3 dosen't have. But overall the system is great. and you can stream movies with netflix with the xbox elite. Great and larger online community. Eventhough you have to pay but it is worth it if you want to spend time playing online with friend or whoever. The detail of the picture on an hd tv is just outstanding. So is the ps3.
I would recommend this product to anybody who asked me about it.
but if your afraid of the red ring of death dont worry you could get a ps3 and it could  more

No Regrets!

I almost wish I would have waited for the bigger, newer model... But no regrets! The casing on this PS3 is a flat finish, which is a lot easier to keep clean than the last generation of PS3s which were glossy. The integrated BluRay Disc player is definitely a perk, and also one of the reasons I pick PS3 over Xbox 360. Don't hesitate to pick one of these up!

Grea product.

I've had this for a month now. I really like it. The video quality is great (when you convert videos to use the H264 codec) and mp3 sound quality is great. The Zune software is ok at best. Some things I should mention is only the Zune software works with managing the Zune. You can't use Windows or Winamp or iTunes. Also when I bought this off Amazon I paid $220 for it. The date of this review, I see that the price is at $339.99. Either these things are really in demand, or Microsoft/Amazon is purposely trying to get you to buy the Zune HD models.

The Best Bluray player!

The PS3 is the best Bluray system on the market.
Fast load times and HD is excellent if you have a Sony Bravia!!!
The only thing is the games do not match the system.
The games are extremely violent and gory!!! and some have bad language! But it is an excellent multimedia system! And Internet is free!

Great entertainment system

I have my ps3 system for 3 months now. So far it runs well and setup was a breeze. It is suppose to play games and blue ray movies so i won't talk about how cool they look. But what i will talk about is that the features that the xbox 360 has over it, the playstation is slowly closing the gap. Now the ps3 offers live stream movie such as NetFlix. So if you want to relax from gaming and take in a few thousand movies, ps3 is finally able to do so. the only bad thing is that you have to have a Netflix subscription and you will have to get the free disc from netflix to watch the movies. I am looking forward to see what else the sony will come up with for the ps3 to make it compete against its powerful rival.

Great Memory

Great item if you play lots. Easy to transfer with the included transfer cable. My only complaint is all the preloaded items on the drive. I expected 120GB of memory but only had about 90+. still deleting all of the unwanted videos, demos, themes and gamer pics.

spendy, but nice to have

it's certainly nice to have all that space, particularly if you regularly play several different games, and prefer to have them all installed. if not, it's probably not worth the price tag.

PS3 and Bu-Ray

If your going to get a Blu-Ray player, you might as well get a PS3. I fought as long as I could, I didn't like the idea of HD-DVD and Blu-Ray competing for the next stage of home video entertainment. (Plus, I don't like "blue" being in blu-ray!!) But Blu-Ray won, so I waited a little longer in utter defiance. But Blu-Ray is awesome!! First thing I watched was Heroes 3, the interactive and on-line extras are amazing!! But back to the PS3, other than the Blu-Ray player, I give it to Xbox 360. I have both and much before streaming music, video and pictures from my computer on the 360. PS3 worked too, but takes a lot longer to load and isn't as user friendly. All and all, PS3 4 stars plus blu-ray and Xbox 360 4.5 stars.
