The XBox 360 elite finally pushed me over the edge. I've been resisting buying a 360 for a while (mostly because of hardware reliability concerns) but recently purchased the elite console. Now that I've done it I can't believe I waited this long--I'm enjoying gaming immensely, have barely scratched the surface of Xbox live, and have linked the console to my Windows Media Center PC and am messing around with the many capabilities there as well. I own (and love) a Wii and have nothing against Sony, but I'm very impressed with the XBox 360.
FIRST, THE CONSOLE: The XBox 360 features amazing graphics and an enormous library of games that, as of the time of this writing, dwarfs those of the PS3 and Wii. Initially I was concerned that the PS3 would perform better, but from what I've read and seen it seems the framerate and graphical capability of the XBox is at least equal to the PS3, though I have no desire to argue the point because I think they're both great machines. My reason for choosing

I've had it for a week now and I believe I've gotten the new Falcon chipset with 175 Watt power supply. So far it's frozen once while playing the Ninja Gaiden II demo, but nothing else has happened. *crosses fingers*
PROS:
- Great library of games, nice controller, aesthetically pleasing hardware, GREAT online services, supports DIVX and WMV-HD, so you can watch movies from external storage devices.
-The XBL Marketplace is great with a ton of demos, arcade games, add-ons, movies, TV shows, and game videos. The HD movie selection is mind-boggling. I've already downloaded over 35 demos and I don't even own a game yet.
- The interface is smooth and easy to use.
- You can stream media from a Mac or PC with the right software (Connect360 for Mac, not sure about Windows side).
CONS:
- Not sure if I want to pay $50 a year for the Gold membership's online gaming and getting demos sooner than Silver users. PS3's online gaming is free for the most part (aside from DLC).
- Compared

Ah, Xbox 360, a good system in many ways. The online portion is great. By far it is the best online play of any console. The controller feels good in your hands and works well. The system has a lot of stuff other than just games you buy from the store. It has great games you can buy and download. You can either hook up an either net cable or buy a wireless adapter for 99.99 dollars. You can use Xbox live gold which will cost about 49.99 for a year, or you can use silver which is free. Of course you need wireless internet for this to work. You can also buy and download movies and shows. Now I think (having my apple TV) that it is stupid to download movies and shows on my 360. But for those of you who do not want to spend all that money for an apple TV. That is a great feature. Then your not just paying for a game system, your paying for a media system. I am not sure how much space the movies and shows take on your hard drive, but you can always buy a new hard drive. The few
