Toshiba GigaBeat MEU202BK 2GB Portable Media Player
This is the first MP3 player I have ever purchased. I had no clue where to begin on what to get and what it needed. The Toshiba Gigabeat was perfect. Its easy to use, holds a lot of music and has an FM tuner to top it off. I ride the bus to work and I never leave home without it! It was in the right price range and is a good size. I did a lot of research and there are not many great quality options out there and I was pleased that this product held up to what it said it offered.

N1-102 1.1 INCH KEY CHAI
For being such a small picture frame the picture is pretty good. The software that goes along with it is easy to use. I would definately reccomend this product to others.

Toshiba GigaBeat MEU202BK 2GB Portable Media Player
MP3
This is a good MP3 Player if you are looking for something that is not fancy. The price is great and the product looks very nice. Bought it for my husband for Xmas..could not have found a better gift for him. Highly recommend if you are looking for a simple MP3 Player. Easy to use, simple and good price.

Toshiba GigaBeat MEU202BK 2GB Portable Media Player
I am real disappointed in this mp3 player. The product discription did not say it would only work with XP or Vista and media player 10 or 11. My work computer is Windows 2000, so I cannot use the player at work. There is no dock station. It can only work with media player. There is no way to listen to it except by earphones. I wish I had order a Zune or Creative. I ordered it because of the audio, which I am not impressed with.

Toshiba GigaBeat MEU202BK 2GB Portable Media Player
The bottom line is is the person your giving the gift to loves the gift,it all worth it. The Toshiba portable media player was a hit. She talked about a I-Pod but could not see spening the extra 30-60 dollars for something that does the same thing. She is 11 years old. As Dad im worried about it dissapearing. Lost or stolen. An I-Pod and this player not much difference between the two.Sound is great and it holds a lot of music. A lot better than the cassette player I used to drag around.

Toshiba GigaBeat MEU202BK 2GB Portable Media Player
This was a gift for my daughter, who is very difficult to buy for as she has everything. She didn't have this, tho, and loves it. Her son is helping her load it with music she likes. She travels constantly and loves the small size.

Toshiba GigaBeat MEU202BK 2GB Portable Media Player
I really enjoy using this product. However, the volume is not as high as it could be. And it is hard to put on certain playlists for a single genre. Other than that, this is a great buy!

Toshiba GigaBeat MEU202BK 2GB Portable Media Player
This is my second gigabeat (already own an S-60)and is used primarily by my wife.

Small - easy to use, reliable, and tremendous battery life. I only dislike the cheesy graphics for the albums and that fact that the text scrolls when the track name is anything more than about 15 characters long.

My wife loves it - and it is compatible with both Rhapsody and Napster (we like the subscription programs because we download hundered of different songs a month and rarely like anything enough to buy them.)

We will probably buy another for the kids.

Sakar Digital Concepts VGA Camera with Preview Screen
If I could give this zero stars I would. I bought this for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas. The camera is cheaply made. The preview screen is so worthless they even mention it on a sticker placed near the screen that the photo will be of better quality. There is no memory card. The pictures are stored via 2 AAA batteries. The door to the battery compartment does not stay shut tight. Therefore, during normal handling the door is touched disrupting the battery charge and erasing the stored pictures. Constantly. Even when I used it this happened. As far as the software goes it is very difficult to intall. We installed/ uninstalled it at least 8 times. My computer recognized the camera twice. The first time we successfully loaded 1 photo. The second time it told us no photos existed (We had just taken a bunch to test it) The other times it didn't recognize the camera forcing us to unintsall/install. As far as technical support goes there is none. The camera has been discontinued.

Argus QuickClix 3185 3.2 Megapixel Digital Camera
This camera was only $49 at Walgreens (about 40% the cost of the cheapest decent cameras that you can get). I would not recommend this camera for an adult, but I do think it is great for a kid who wants to take pictures. Why, read on.

Most cameras made for kids are really terrible. They offer very low resolution (0.1 to 0.3 MP) and take awful pictures. The Argus camera is a 3 mega pixel camera.

Although the camera takes pictures that are much better quality than a kid's camera, don't expect the Argus to take high quality pictures. This is because the lens is cheap (probably plastic) and the electronics are not state of the art. The tiny lens isn't very sensitive to light so it does teach you kid good photography habits (if they are not steady, the photo will be blurry). There is also a several second lag when you push the shutter. The last time I encountered this was with my first digital which was purchased 12 years ago. Needless to say, the lag makes the camera useable only

Toshiba GigaBeat MEU202BK 2GB Portable Media Player
My son received this product as a Christmas gift. He's been wanting an MP3 player for quite some time and he loved the Toshiba. It was easy to use and all the accessories were included. He was up and jamming in no time!

Memorex Npower Flash Digital Camera-SpongeBob Camera w 2 Skins
I gave this digital camera to my son, who loves to take pictures. We're taking it back tomorrow. I get that it's a kid's camera, but still the 640X480 picture quality is so bad, I can't believe that someone would market this. Subjects are out of focus. The auto-flash feature is finicky. When it does fire, it washes subjects out completely. Even to the undiscerning eye of a five-year-old, it is unacceptable. "Delete that one. Delete that one. Delete that one..." he said, until they were all gone! "They're all bad!" Done and done.

Memorex Npower Flash Digital Camera-SpongeBob Camera w 2 Skins
I purchased two of these for my kids (Dec 2007 at ToysRUs in CT, model NDC6007), chosen based on an on-line review by a Mom who tried 4 kids' digital cameras and thought this was the best. On the bottom of the cameras, there is a very tiny Phillips screw to open the battery compartment. I used my tiny Phillips screwdriver, and I nearly wore my palm down and stipped the screw trying to remove it. I tried the other one using first a regular Phillips with no luck as it was too large, then a tiny regular screwdriver so as not to strip the screw, again no luck. I tried the tiny Phillips in that one too with no luck. Boy were my kids disappointed. The website was of no help whatsoever - nothing in FAQs and nothing but a big black screen for technical support. Back to the store - and back to the drawing board.

N1-102 1.1 INCH KEY CHAI
I bought several digital key chains this season and love them all. But they are all finicky and hard to get loaded until you figure it out. It's like riding a bicycle. I do recommend this keychain, however, and it does work quickly and well once you know the sequence to loading and charging the device.

But first, it is true that this particular keychain only comes with the PC version of the software, and the software is critical. Go buy the Coby one if you have a Mac, or if you have already bought this one--go download the Coby Mac version of the software at cobyusa.com (these two use the same software called Photoviewer). The complication is that the viewers are preset with the proper crop shape for your device--but it's worth a try before returning it.

Okay, two critical points: the software will NOT work unless the device is connected and the computer has recognized it. Second, you must do things in this sequence:

1. Load software
2. Charge the device fully by plugging it in (do not

N1-102 1.1 INCH KEY CHAI
I'm actually returning this lovely piece of junk to Amazon. The photos I loaded played as electronical gibberish onscreen. A real disappointment since it's very stylish and the only keychain with the magnetic cover. I also bought the COBY 1.5 digital photo keychain, which works without a hitch. Beware of this NEXTAR product.

Argus QuickClix 3185 3.2 Megapixel Digital Camera
I got this camera for my 5 year old after trying two other cheapo/kids cam's. While it is restricted in features (fixed focus, and smaller LCD screen) it is a junior model of a reasonable full feature camera.

It is standards based i.e. has a mini usb connector (comes with cable) and is recognized by win XP as a USB drive right out of the box with no drivers, it takes SD cards (it claims to use up to a 512 MB but one of my extra 1 Gig cards seems to be working, SD cards are really cheap these days now that SDHC is out at 4gb) and you will need one.

The other two cameras I got had weird connectors, flaky software drivers and propriatary non standard software editors and were really difficult to use even for me.

It takes decent pictures, where the other cameras I got for my kid took really blurry pictures and I gave them away as I did not want her to get frustrated and give up on digital photography.

Note: This is nowhere near film cameras and it is not to be compared with the Nikon,

Argus QuickClix 3185 3.2 Megapixel Digital Camera
Pros: Price, Multiple resolution options, JPG files - no need to convert, USB cable included, SD slot, Rapid Fire mode - take 3 photos in succession, AVI movie capability, self-timer, viewfinder (you can turn off display to save battery life), flash: automatic/force/off

Cons: shutter delay, small display screen, confusing menu buttons, small 16MB SDRAM internal memory

Summary: for under $40 bucks, a nice little camera.

Sakar Digital Concepts VGA Camera with Preview Screen
Terrible product, don't waste your money. The photo quality is horrid even at the highest resolution setting and, if the batteries die (which they did after just four hours), all of the photos are erased.
