Wii Music: Nintendo Wii
Like most people, I thought the commercial looked like people were having fun and enjoying themselves. Well, remember, you are watching paid actors!

Unfortunately, this game is a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. The fact that you can imitate over 60 instruments is no big deal at all. You can accomplish the exact same results copying the actions of any musician you may watch in a video or on TV. There is no "real" significant connection of your movements to the Wii Music game. It is beyond simple, so much that anyone over the age of 5yrs would be bored to tears in less than 5 minutes. The majority of the game, if you can even call it that, you are acting like you're playing the instrument you pick at whatever tempo you like. There are no points, no significant objectives or anything.

The actual games are much more simple than what you would find playing the mini games of Wii Play. Making your own music videos with the cartoon characters... BIG DEAL! Conducting the orchestra.. WHOOPEE..

Wii - Nights
I was skeptical of this game at first, but had heard all of the acclaim around the original game that was released for Sega Saturn many years ago. I wanted to be convinced, though, and after reading about the game in Nintendo Power magazine, I was intrigued.

I bought the game, and the first thing I noticed when starting the game was the great graphics and the music that belongs on a soundtrack album.

Then I started to run around the games' gateway of dreams, getting a handle on the controls, which were incredibly simple to master. I then took to the skies for flight training. They give you the option of either leading with the Wii Remote, by pointing at the screen, or using the Nunchuck's control stick. The control stick is the only way to fly.

Flight in this game is incredible and exhilirating. It's not completely free, as the game lets you move on a 2D plane, kind of like being on tracks. That is a blessing, however, as going through the levels would be pretty difficult if you

Madden NFL 09 All-Play: Nintendo Wii
I am a nearly-senior American (I'll leave the interpretation to you) who enjoys a challenging video game but hasn't the patience or the coordination to use either Playstations or X-boxes; naturally I was attracted to the Wii. I have played any number of Wii games, many of which I find more tedious than fun.

Madden 09 is both fun and challenging and a marked improvement over Madden 07. The All-Play feature permits geezers like me to play a sensible game of football without having to spend considerable time learning a bunch of complicated controller combinations. Once a few All-Play football games are under your belt, I found it quite natural to actually WANT to learn some of the more advanced controller moves.

Others have done an excellent job of extolling the virtues of Madden 09. I will simply emphasize the well thought-out structure of the game, which permits enjoying it from a completely-green novice through to a demanding gamer.

It is rare for a video game to be this well

Sonic Unleashed: Nintendo Wii
After playing it for awhile overall I can say Sonic Unleashed is probably one of best Sonic games on 3d to come out in awhile. What the game does right is bring the speedy stages we all love and make it fast and simple bringing that same feel you got from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and also not having camera problems like Sonic and Secret Rings.
However there is also Werehog stage like most said there are quite few however it isn't bad as one would think and as you progress through game the stage gets better, but the gameplay does take awhile usually a player will take 6-8 minutes just trying to finish it, that being said the ranking system on it isn't about speed so its easy to get good ranks on it and not have be about speed, rather it trys to get you pull off most points and rings you can under 9 minutes. The ranking on other hand for speed stages are all about how many rings and making it to end of stage at that time limit. Asides from gameplay the soundtrack is pretty good as well some

Cooking Mama: World Kitchen: Nintendo Wii
I have never played any other version of Cooking Mama, so I can't say how it compares with previous titles. I have 9 year old twin boys, one of whom has spent many hours with the neighborhood girls creating recipes in WebKinz. They have had so much fun with that, that Cooking Mama World Kitchen (CMWK) seemed like an obvious choice for us.

A little about the game: There are three game scenarios, the first of which is "Cook with Mama" in which Mama is the cooking instructor and you are the cook-in-training. It starts with eight recipes which Mama oversees as you cook. The steps in the recipes are well defined and visually represented, with about five to ten steps per recipe, at least in the beginning. You always know where you are in the recipe and Mama gives you feedback on each step. When you have completed the recipe, you get a final overall score which results in one of four medals - bronze, silver, gold or lead. If you get a lead medal, expect to hang your head in shame and Mama will

Disney Sing It: Nintendo Wii
I bought this for my daughter and she loves singing High School Musical, Hannah Montana, and Camp Rock. So this was perfect for her. I was really impressed with how Disney put this product together. Normally on Karaoke, you get some fake singer and a generic picture of 2 couples riding a horse on a beach. Not this one. You not only get the actual song, but you also get clips directly from the movie or a clip from the actual concert. The video also looks great on screen. They are DVD quality. Also fun was the duet mode, but you need 2 mics for it.

Now the bad part. They do have a section for trying to teach you how to sing, but it is not done very well. It would have been good if you could pick a song and have them go over it slowly. You do not have control as to what key the song is played in or much control over the mic settings.

However, even though the songs are fast and pretty difficult to sing, my daughter had a blast singing to them.

Thrustmaster 4660307 Nintendo Wii Glow Saber Duo Pack
The idea behind these is cool. But, the problem is, Thrustmaster didn't think this through. The sensor on the Wii remote is covered when you add the light sabers to it. So, the lightsaber lights up, but that's it. Your characters lightsaber will NOT move! The light is blocked, you'll have to take the lightsaber off to make it work! Do not buy this product for any game that requires the Wii remotes sensor light (which is basically all of them, right?).

Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip: Nintendo Wii
I honestly think I played this game for 9 hours on Saturday. So much fun. Had some friends playing with me and we just took turns trying to complete the challenges. I woke up the next day with very sore hamstrings (and I am pretty active) so I would suggest stretching out if you are going to be playing for awhile. As you get the hang of learning the tricks (for instance after you jump and while you are in the air put pressure on one toe and the opposite heal to pull off some crazy tricks to gain big points) it is even more enjoyable. Graphis care good. Game play on the balance board is great.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World: Nintendo Wii
I just recently received this game a couple of days ago. I really love the Tales of series the most. Using the Wii remote for it isn't that hard, but my hands get a little tired from holding it for so long.
Anyway, I should talk about the gameplay. You probably already know about the basic plot of the game but nothing of the gameplay or what a person who has played it thinks. I love the plot, even if it is sad to see Emil hating Llyod so much and he will say that constantly to others when he tries to go find him, at least until he meets Raine and realizes why the people of Iselia defend him so ardently. Despite this, I find the conversations funny and entertaining.
What I find disappointing is that it no longer lets you have the characters cook for each other like in previous Tales of games. You also have a system where you can travel quickly to other towns which is a plus to be sure, but sadly you have little to no opportunities to level up and bosses could crush you alive.

Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels: Nintendo Wii
I picked this up as a rental and am glad I did. It is pretty entertaining for about an hour, but 30 minutes later my arm was killing me. Also, that coincides with the amount of time it took to finish the storyline. It is mostly a mortal combat type of gameplay, with a set sized arena where you fight the best of three matches and then you get a cut scene that moves the story along. Oddly enough, it is how the Clone Wars cartoon is moving on the TV. You only get 7 fighters, but it looks like you can unlike 3-4 more. I just don't have the arm or wrist strength to open them up. My best tactic (Single or Duel mode) was to just spin my wii mote in a circle in a clockwise or counter clockwise motion and I did well enough. The duel (multiplayer) was pure mortal combat, one one one best of three fighting. The game overall was entertaining for a moment, but for my money I prefer Star Wars the Force Unleashed.

MySims Kingdom: Nintendo Wii
I completely addicted to the first MySims game for Wii, but I wished they would come out with a sequel where they fixed the loading time issues and the frustrating build system. Well I was so excited to see MySims Kingdom (MSK) released, I bought it right away because the reviews said the loading time was nil and the building system was better. Well after a brief playtime I realized this was not the sequel I was waiting for.

For some reason the addictive quality of MS is not present in MSK.
Instead of getting requests to build specific pieces of furniture or buildings for people, you have to use pre-made items to fill in buildings or areas and meet certain criteria (i.e it needs to have 10 spooky items and 10 cute items). What is lost is the total customizablility that MS gives. You could design endless possibilities of types of furniture and fixtures based on blueprints or create something totally unique without a blueprint.

MSK involves getting a Scroll that requires a certain

Need for Speed: Undercover: Nintendo Wii
This is the best Need for Speed ever on the Wii. I now own the following for my Wii:
Gamecube versions of NFS Underground, Underground2 and Most Wanted
Wii versions of Carbon, ProStreet and Undercover

From a most playable/most fun point of view Most Wanted has always been best in series (we all know that).

For the record, Underground was first with amazing pseudo-realistic graphics. Underground2 was first with an open world driving concept (still limited but the first in NFS series). Most was first with Cop Chases (and a few other features). Carbon has a good plot, a great big world that could be explored, and strange hard-to-learn controls (if you learn them the game is great, what a pain though). ProStreet had great new driving mechanics and updated real-damage modelling that were fun, great racer, too bad it's got such dull environments and gets monotonous after a while (I've played through half of it hard and solid, finally entered some cheats and now am driving an amazing customized

Sonic Unleashed: Nintendo Wii
I was looking forward to this game for a while, and it met my expectations. The hedgehog levels are awesome, they're high speed, and plain awesome, and they're genuine Sonic. Five stars for the hedgehog. However, the place where this game falls is the Werehog. For me, the werehog was just to slow. And like other people said, I noticed there's a lot more werehog than hedgehog. I think Sega should make the werehog action just a little bit faster, so it's actually Sonic. They should also balance the stages a little. If I got a little more hedgehog, this would have been five stars. However, The game still deserves a Bravo, Bravo. I say you buy it.

All Star Cheer Squad: Nintendo Wii
We got this looking for another game that would work with the Wii Fit board! Its about to be returned!!
I agree with the other reviews - this game has some serious flaws which affect playability and general fun!
First Wii Cheer had a great idea in allowing you to use one remote in each hand to execute the moves - this game, in contrast, has you use the remote in one hand and nunchuck in the other. This idea might work if you are a child...a little child, but as the cord between the two is not that long, the moves are either restricted or impossible to perform for an adult or even a child above 8/9!!
Second is the annoying delay - some of the moves you do are recognized too late if at all, the other times it identifies moves made, that have not actually been performed!! Add to this the need to calibrate the board between each dance set which adds a delay between play -very fustrating!!
This is a cute idea, but like many Wii games, it seems it may have been rushed to market before the

Big League Sports: Nintendo Wii
Be warned!!!! Do not buy this game!
First of all despite the title you are not really playing sports, you are only "playing" aspects of a sport. For example in basketball you are shooting free throws against a countdown clock (no dribbling,no opponent), in soccer you are playing goalie while the computer avatar kicks shots at you, or in tennis you are just trying to serve aces. There is no actual you vs a team competition like in Wii sports etc. Second the controls are awful - general you are basically just using the "A" button for clicks and that's it. It's amazing how many games just do not take advantage of all the motion capability of the Wiimote. Third the user interface of the game is horrid - I can go on and on but I will leave it at that. If I could give this game a 1/4 star rating I would! Utterly boring and not worth even $5.00. So much for buying a game before others review it.

Castlevania Judgment: Nintendo Wii
Since the Wii first came out, I had been waiting for Castlevania to be released. This game takes the 13 most popular characters from the series (Dracula, Alucard, Simon, Carmilla, Cornell,Grant, Maria, Trevor, Eric, Golem, Death, Shanoa, and Sypha) and adds a new character, Aeon, to a fighting game. Some people dislike this game because it is a 3D game and isn't a classic travel through the castle and kill dracula kind of game. Others also say its wrong to mix these characters together. Personaly. I think it's good to have a different type of Castlevania. If you can get over the fact that this a completely new style of gameplay, this an amazing addition to the series. Another cool feature to this game is that you can play with friends. This is a first for the Castlevania series that really does enhance the play.
One more thing to say: the Wii remotes are terrible for this game. They are way to hard to maneuver. I found them impossible to use and went back to using the Gamecube controller.

Call of Duty: World at War: Nintendo Wii
Since this game was made by the same guys who did call of duty 3 on the wii, i was a little skeptical but overall this game is great. Campaign mode is fun but it is very generic. Missions are interesting and overall difficult and it makes you focus to get it done, but it lacks a lot of intense excitement. Wifi online play on the other hand is chock full of excitement. The best thing is, you can play over and over again and still have fun, all for free if you have a wifi connection. The console does very good at handling it, even on wifi it doesnt really lag much. Although the online multiplayer only allows up to 8 players and limited modes of gameplay, i have not had the need for any more than that. Sound is great and graphics are amazing for the wii, even on my rather old TV I can still see clearly.
Overall its a great game and its even better with wifi multiplayer. I would definitely pass up the xbox 360 or PS3 versions for this one

Positives:
1) Good graphics (amazing for the wii)
2)

Wii - Block Party
I have to agree with the other reviewer....this game is really really bad.
Thought about tossing it in the trash but I guess I will give it to the neighbor kids who will probably throw it in the trash within minutes. Don't get stung with this game.

Skate It: Nintendo Wii
I purchased this game earlier today and must say that I cannot stop playing it. I have used it with the Wii Fit board and can say that the designers must have spent a lot of time configuring it. For any skateboarders this game is extremely intuitive and mimics tricks done on real skateboards. The missions get considerably harder as time goes on and as with real skateboarding, you cannot expect to get everything at once.

The graphics are reminiscent of Thrasher Skate and Destroy for PS1, but considering this is a Wii game, it looks great. As with all skateboarding games, there are many pros and real life sponsors to help with your look and deck in the game.

I would highly recommend this game to anybody who is interested. As with many Wii games, you can only blame yourself when you don't land that nollie 360 flip, as it is your fancy footwork (or not so) that is controlling your character. 9/10
