Panasonic VIERA TC-37LZ85 37 LCD TV-37 LCD 1080P
After reading Consumer Reports ratings, I ordered this tv online. We just received it today, opened, set up and watching HDTV in less than 10 minutes! The picture is beyond expectations. The color is so sharp and the picture is positively exquisite. Not only did Amazon have the best price, the no shipping, no taxes and white glove delivery made this an exceptional purchase overall. "Santa" delivered the new tv now, in anticipation of my 7yr old getting a wii for Christmas. I am so excited, "Santa" may have to open the wii tonight after he is in bed to test it out on the new tv.

Overall, the whole buying experience was so easy through amazon and the tv is just awesome!

Sharp LC37SB24U 37-inch Black LCD HDTV-SHARP LC37SB24U 37 Black LCD HDTV 720p Resolution
Purchased on November 13th. Failed to turn on November 22. This has to be the very first TV I've owned that failed in this way and the last Sharp I will purchase. It's back to Walmarts with this piece of junk.

Panasonic VIERA TC-37LZ85 37 LCD TV-37 LCD 1080P
System is good for a small room. The picture clarity is great and HD is sharp and crisp. Sound is acceptable but I added a small powered audio speaker system to enhance the base.

Universal Tilt Wall Mount for 37-63 inch LCD TV-Tilt Wall Mount for LCD TV (37- 63) - Black
My husband and I looked for a mounting bracket using the search criteria for our TV on Overstock. This mounting bracket came up as the match. It is absolutely perfect. We were a little intimidated just thinking about hanging our huge, heavy TV on the brick over our fireplact but the directions that came with this bracket discussed mounting it on studs, concrete and brick, so we were covered. It even came with all of the hardward for any one of those applications. We are very pleased with the sturdiness, the ease of putting it up and with the value. We found brackets of similar quality locally for twice even three times as much. Thanks O.

Philips DVDR3576H/37 160GB Hard Drive ATSC DVD Player and Recorder
I own the DVDR3575H model and posted a review December 7th, 2008. This is the new model, the DVDR3576H, but the specs appear to be the same and it looks and appears identical to mine except the DVDR3575H is all black. This is somewhat of a rehash as well as an update to my previous posting.
I am giving this 4 stars primarily because it remains the only DVR/DVD recorder in the US market and the only non fee DVR in the US market. Every major electronics manufacturer in the US market had DVR'S available through 2004-2006. I believe do to pending litigation the other players have left the US market. You can still get numerous DVR models in Europe and Asia from the other manufacturers, including multiple models from Phillips. Sizes range there from 80GB all the way to one terabyte. But here thanks to law suits we have only this 160GB model from Phillips.
The DVR recorder is simple to use and easy to play back. The menu is primitive, but fairly ease to navigate. You can record about 30 hours

Panasonic VIERA TC-37LZ85 37 LCD TV-37 LCD 1080P
The Panasonic TC-37LZ85 is an amazing TV. Better than expected. The price was great on amazon, shipping was prompt. TV was easy to set up and customize. After carefully doing research online I am glad I chose this TV over the competition. Highly recommend. XBox 360 looks amazing also. For the price there is no better TV.

Panasonic VIERA TC-37LZ85 37 LCD TV-37 LCD 1080P
I spent several hours reviewing 37" LCD TV's online and followed it up by going to one of our local superstores to see & listen to the units. I compared the 720P & 1080P units for picture quality & found them to be similar in the full screen mode. What separated the former from the latter was the zoom mode I regularly use when I watch TV in the letterbox or 4.3 format. It was no contest with the extra lines of resolution available on the 1080P units. They do make a difference ! The screens of the Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, Toshiba, etc. are all similar side-by-side , but I definitely prefer the sound coming from the Panasonic. I have no intention of installing external speakers, so it was extremely important to have a decent set of internal speakers in my selection. The other thing I noticed in the store was the side viewing angle of the Panasonic was by far the best of any LCD's I watched. To make a long story short- I love this set and am glad I waited until 1080P was available in the

Philips NP1100/37 Streamium Network Music Player with 3.0" B&W Display
This player is really cool! First of all, I don't need to chuck my own hifi away in able to enjoy the digital music. Second, i can listen online and internet radio music!!!!! Third, I also found it is really cool to control my music that i have in my notebook from just pointing the remote control to the player itself!!I don't need to control the music from teh notebook itself or turn on my PC for the internet radio. Very cool ! Love it!

Philips DVDR3576H/37 160GB Hard Drive ATSC DVD Player and Recorder
This is an excellent product. We've had ours now for several months and it works flawlessly. Sure, I can come up with plenty of features I wish it had (I'm an Electronics Engineer so imagining new features comes naturally!) but that's always true of every product of any type.

This unit has a hard drive for normal recording, a DVD burning optical drive for removable media, a digital tuner for compatibility with over-the-air (OTA) digital broadcasts, and an analog tuner for compatibility with those stations that don't switch to digital in Feb 2009. That's everything you need for home broadcast recording today and after Feb 2009. The remote is intuitive, the on-screen menus make sense, and everything works.

All right, a couple of criticisms. It loses programming if power is disconnected for more than ~30 seconds. It doesn't have to be that way - Philips could have simply written the programming to the hard drive (which is inherently nonvolatile). Some of its on-screen menu features are obscure

Philips DVDR3576H/37 160GB Hard Drive ATSC DVD Player and Recorder
I bought one 2 months ago and liked it so much I bought a second one, so I can record programs from 2 channels at the same time.

I don't like to pay a monthly fee for anything, so I have always just set VCR's to record off the antenna by timer. But that won't work after February. What nobody tells you is that the converter box will not let you do that, because the channel selection is in the converter, not in the VCR. So this DVR is the solution, and it's the only one out there, unless you pay a monthy fee for cable and something like TiVo.

For timer recording, it is even more convenient than a VCR. You can just set and delete events at will, and don't have to worry about what fits on a tape. By default it shows the date, time, and channel for each event. I keep a separate log on a piece of paper, and that saves the time to label each event on the disc. I usually delete an event after I watch it anyway.

I use it with a 52" Sony HDTV, so I can evaluate the picture quality. At

Philips 160GB Hard Drive DVD Recorder w/ HDMI, DVDR3575H/37
I did a lot of research in preparation for the switchover to DTV. I have an antenna and no plans to move to cable or satellite and my antenna works just fine. I've been using VCRs, but to continue using them you have to have a decoder box for each one set to a single station. Expensive and annoying. All I wanted was a digital TV recorder so I could continue to record and watch programs at my convenience. Well this unit does just that. I had no problems setting it up. It was easy to program to record -- just like my VCRs. You can record while watching another program, and recording quality is very good even at lower resolution. This unit was exactly what I was looking for.

Panasonic VIERA TC-37LZ85 37 LCD TV-37 LCD 1080P
I purchased the 37" Viera based on Consumer Reports recommendation, and am very happy with it. However, who decided the shape of the flat screens should be rectangular, rather than square? I had to purchase a riser to raise the level of the TV to be centered vertically in my entertainment center. The width fit perfectly. Not Panasonic's fault, but aggravating nonetheless. Great TV for the price.

Philips NP1100/37 Streamium Network Music Player with 3.0" B&W Display
I really like having internet radio away from PC on a proper sound system. Hooking it up to my router was simple... search, select my network, enter my WEP key and it was working right away.

The selection of stations is excellent. Any time I miss a show on NPR or CBC (public radio) I can usually find it again in another time zone.

The streaming from the PC is a bit trickier in that I had to configure my PC for sharing. The sharing feature of Windows Media player is not an obvious button to click. On top of that, I had to configure my firewall etc... to work with the NP1100. It's all PC related stuff and not to do with the device itself which worked well.

None the less, the user manual (once I looked at it) helped me through it quite well. Start early with the user manual for this part and you should be fine.

I haven't had the chance to play with the Rhapsody on-line service feature yet. However, it sounds like a cool way to get access to new music.

The big, black and white display

Philips 4 GB SA3245 Digital Audio/Video Player (SA3245/37)
I don't normally right reviews but felt it was my duty to do so with this product. I purchased this product at Wal-Mart. My initial impression was that it was a slick and stylish player. Very small, compact, thin... So far so good.

The problem comes when you actually try to use it. Not user friendly at all. It's very easy to add music files to the player, however, it is very difficult to play them as expected. YOU CAN'T MAKE A PLAYLIST!!!! I am used to adding tons of music to a player and making all sorts of play lists that I can pick from depending on my mood or activity. Not having this feature is unacceptable. I should say that you can make a "play list" but only by pressing the "play list" button every time a song comes on that you like. Not only is that a pain, it is hard to press the button hundreds of times to add the songs to a list as the button is so small which causes you to miss it most of the time. The player can only have one list at a time. Each time you want

Universal Tilt Wall Mount for 37-63 inch LCD TV-Tilt Wall Mount for LCD TV (37- 63) - Black
My ex-husband, yes you read that right, helped me hang my new 52" Sony TV. He actually loved this mount and thought that it was easier to work with than the one he purchased. I found it very sturdy and would highly recommend. Directions though could be in a larger font. Scanning and enlarging solved that problem. Once enlarged directions were clear and concise, parts were easily distinguished. Buy it, you'll love it!!!

Philips 4 GB SA3245 Digital Audio/Video Player (SA3245/37)
I agree w/ the second reviewer.... WHY have a menu item playlists (notice the plural) & not let you make any playlists, my phone is a better mp3 player in those respects, I should not have wasted my money, I stupidly thought a machine dedicated to only one purpose would have more music playing features -not less :

Philips 2 GB GoGear SA2525 Digital Player / Radio (SA2525/37)
I recently purchased the Philips 2 GB Flash MP3 Player. It works great, downloaded quite a few songs and enjoy during the day or times of relaxation. Would recommend this to anyone contemplating a reasonably priced MP3 Player. I think I will replace the earphones with a type that is a better fit to my ears. They tend to fall out of my ears, only downside. Volume and ease of operation top notch for MP3 Player in this price range.

Panasonic VIERA TC-37LZ85 37 LCD TV-37 LCD 1080P
Product arrived quicker than promised, Priced below competitor products by over $500, the HDTV definetly deserves the rating it received in Consumer Reports which quotes $1,400
Most important are the features. The unit has the BEST viewing angle of any of the pricier units compared.
