I have to start off by saying Sonic unleashed is what many have been waiting for in a Sonic game, platforming mixed with speed and cool new things with less focus on side characters like Shadow and whatnot. I was both excited and dreading the release since the last few 3D games have been disappointing with gameplay and the number of glitches I encountered (specifically the Next Gen Sonic the Hedgehog game and Shadow the Hedgehog).
The game is fast fun and definitely polished, there's no glitches or agonizing load times seen in the next gen Sonic the Hedgehog, they took out the serious story with realistic looking characters and replaced the story with one of more fantasy with more fitting cartoonish characters. The levels go flawlessly from the behind the back running to 2D style running and they've added a few moves like drifting, boosting and quick dashing and thankfully removed the repetitive talking in the levels. The werehog was a big thing I feared from the start but it turns out

Fallout 3 takes place in a post-apocalyptic nuclear holocaust destroyed world, specifically in the Washington DC area. Your character is a "Vault dweller" -- a person born and raised inside a Vault which is basically a super bomb shelter designed to keep it's inhabitants safe from the horrors of whatever lays outside. Fallout 3 is, first and foremost, a role playing game packaged in an almost first person shooter style container. The game is as deep in scope as it is wide in breadth. While you begin as a nobody in a tiny little world, you quickly grow to become a big player on a gigantic stage. Fallout 3 mixes a very driven series of main quests with the option of massive open-ended play distractions.
Fallout 3 was a far more robust experience than I had anticipated. I didn't play the first two, but I was a _huge_ Wasteland fan, so games of this genre really appeal to me.
The environments are absolutely stunning. All too often we get wrapped up in the game, in a tunnel-vision style

I bought this bundle because Im broke, which is the beautiful part because after my first 360 gave me the red ring treatment I sold it for a ps2. The whole time I wanted another 360 but did;nt have the clams to shell out for a new one. But then Microsoft showed some class and presented the Arcade Holiday Bundle. It's the same 360 with a new format and layout (in the dashboard and live segments). The only thing that sucks about this is that there's no hard drive with it!, I would've rather had a wired controller and a 360 w/hard drive (at least the old 20gig one) but hey, what can you do about it. It's a big step up from the original base models, that only came with the wired controller, this one is a giver. For 199 you get a free wireless 360 pad, a 256mb memory card, (which can only hold memory for like 2 games)and a free month of XBOX Live Gold. What a steal! I did'nt really bother to play the included games too much, because I think personally that Wii Sports' version of tennis is a

I am a huge fan of the NFS series and consider them classics and was really looking forward for this year's release. However I was disappointed with the final product. Need for Speed Undercover is clearly an attempt to cash in on the success of 2005's Most Wanted after ProStreet flopped with critics and fans. The game itself is as straightforward as you'd expect; race, come first, win cash, buy new cars. The underlying story is you're an undercover cop working for the police, quite straight foward. Everything seems to work as it should - the racing is fast and frenetic; the sense of speed is swell and the cars look mostly nice and slick. The biggest problem with Undercover, and it's a fundamental one, is that it's lazy.
Undercover features a great range of cars, but it's a simple cut-and-paste job from ProStreet and the cars that followed its release. There just isn't enough new here, and you'll likely have driven nearly every ride on offer here in a previous iteration of the series. The

I was really excited about this game when I first heard about it. After the uncreative NFS Pro Street, NFS Under Cover was suppose to take the game back to its roots. The only problem is, I didn't expect them to go all the way back to the early 90's.
I started the game out, and right away I notice loading, loading, and more loading. Do you want to look at the map to see the next race, loading, do you want to go to your garage, loading, do you want to start a race, loading. Everything you do has a load screen...EVERYTHING. I managed to start playing and I was a little excited. That was until I took over the car. The cut scenes look good, but the game is a mess. There are problems with the frame rate, there are issues was the way the cars look, and the general graphics are poor. If they would have used the graphics from say NFS Hot Pursuit I would have been happier.
The main issue I had was the constant freezing. I finished the first race, but that was it. I could not start

This is one of the worst 360 games, I've seen. I'll start off with the good. The graphics are mediocre, Tyris's run speed is kinda fast, and Death Adder looks cool. Everything else is terrible. This game takes the worst elements of the original Golden Axe and slaps them together at a pathetic attempt to make a next gen game.
Story - 0/10
The game begins with Tyris walking through a barren valley by herself and realizing she's late for a huge ceremony where her Dragon God flies down from the sky and blesses her people. She realizes that being late for this is probably a bad thing and starts to run, but encounters orc-like creatures called, "BOOGEYMEN." Seriously, that's that they're called. She battles her way through the BOOGEYMEN and arrives at the ceremony too late. A group of BOOGEYMEN kill all of the priestesses, knock Tyris out, and kidnap her all mighty Dragon God.
- If your Dragon God gets kidnapped by a band of Orcs, it's time to get a new God.
Later Tyris awakens and

I'm a 36 yo mom with two girls. Rock Band 2 had become a phenom in our house. There's a magic in making music together, esp with loved ones, that can't be explained, only experienced. I have to say I'm woefully, pityfully unmusical, and frankly, Rock Band intimidated and scared me - embarassed me at the thought - and I was afraid to even touch it, and I never ever, in ten million lifetimes thought I would like it. Kids, sure-- kids try everything once. But me? Now here I am waking up at 6am to play the drums with them before they go to school? I have two pre-teen girls that are drummers now? Wow talk about your 'I never saw that coming' moment.
I know Rock Band is a little bit intimidating to us people who aren't musical. But just order the big box, let it come to the door and set it up in the privacy of your house and no one will be the wiser. It sets up in a snap, no wires at all, no plug-ins, no softwear -- very mom (or tech) friendly.
Rock Band 2 is much improved over Rock Band 1

This was really worth it. It charges my XBox360 battery packs from dead to full in an hour tops. Very simple to use and it comes with a battery pack. It's all certified Microsoft stuff too so there is no worry of 3rd party accessory problems. This is an excellent deal!

I barrowed this from a friend who hasn't played the game in months, and I asked him, why, what's wrong with the game? His response was "You won't like it and i'll even give you a month to try it out". Turns out he was right, within a week I gave it back to him, due to the unbelievable amount of bs this games subjects you to.
First off, The controls for this game are straight garbage! Let me repeat that! PURE UTTER GARBAGE! Seriously, who wants to spend precious time toggling through weapons during an intense fire fight? WTF! Saints Row got it right, all you had to do was press and hold the B button and you were able to select whatever weapons you had in your arsenal. What happened to simple controls, like Halo 3, where you press one button and you're able to cycle through all the weapon in your possession. I don't know if this happens to other players, but Niko sometimes takes off without me touching the controls, again the controls suck because of this. Rockstar, address this issue

People - don't buy this product. It's a complete rip off for 2 reasons.
First of all, the batteries do not hold a charge at all. If you let this sit around for even just one week without using it, all the juice will be gone.
Second, it's no cheaper than standard rechargeable batteries, so why not just use those to begin with? Not only will they work better, but you can also use them with any other product. This battery pack is propietary and only works with 360 controllers. If it was insanely awesome battery time it might be worth it, but it's not, so don't waste your money!

This game was amazing it has very intense combat, loads of cool weapons, and great special effects. The online play is fun and theres a lot of diffrent modes and I rank this game FAR above Halo.

You have been warned. Those people claiming this game is fun or the best warhammer game are lacking some chromosomes and/or have never played a good strategy game. First off, the controls are hideous... NOT just a 'bit awkward'. Second of all, in order to see what is going on you have to be zoomed out so far that the game has no detail (not that zooming in helps much there either). I have played the same board like 15 times because even when you beat a board it doesn't save unless you complete a series of boards which the game claims as a level (I am assuming, as I have played the same 3 boards over and over and finally threw the game into the corner as it seriously isn't worth the time or effort). The game is incredibly repetitive. The overly repeated vocal tracks alone can drive you nuts. All in all... this game will be $9 in under 6 months.

Playing the original Rock Band game once at a party was all it took for me to ask my wife for the Rock Band 2 bundle as my birthday gift. Rock Band is a great party game. Friends look forward to coming over to play, or even just to watch. I organized an after hours Rock Band function at my office recently, and was amazed at how many coworkers came out of their shells to try their hand at singing or beating a drum - even those generally diinterested in video games.
When at home, you can open new songs and venues through the World Tour mode. You can play with up to three friends, or go it solo with "computer non-player characters" substituting for your human bandmates. Being able to switch instruments while playing solo is a great feature that can help you get past a tough spot. If you're playing guitar and get stuck on the solo for Pearl Jams "Alive", switch to drums and try it again.
Be forewarned - while not a big deal - know that the bundle currently ships with a solid black

First off this is a great game. The sound track is excellant, the game play is solid, and the insturments do exactly what they should. The new and improved drumset is better then i could have hoped. The rebound on the new rubber pads is much better then the original set. The new pads also dampen the thunderous thuds you would have with the other pads. You can actually hear the music over the drums without your TV turned up to an ear bleeding volume. The guitar is solid and the wireless features make this well worth the investment. One last feature worth mentioning is the ability to download the RB1 songs (and for only 400 MS points) so you only need to have RB2 in your console to play everything.
The cons. To start with I am dissapointed that the solo career was taken out of this game. I really liked the solo career in RB1 as I could practice songs while earning game cash and feeling like I accomplished something. The fact that as a single player your only choices in RB2 are either

it's funny. most people who give this game a crap review go on to say "i played for a half hour and shut it off". that's like watching a movie for 3 minutes and saying it's crap. you can't comment on what you don't know. after playing through most of the game (i'm almost done)i can say this game isn't as bad as people say. it's not without some design flaws, but in a game like this, combat is most important, and i find it satisfying. there is a neat parry/evade system with counterattacks that feels good.
here's is the games signature(it isn't riding beasts, been there, done that): in any game, typically when you enter a button sequence for a combo, the attack animation plays out no matter what, leaving you open for damage. in this game, however, you can cancel out of a combo with a parry/evade button press, whichever is most appropriate. in my opinion this is very refreshing.
if you're a fan of the conan-type setting, give this one a whirl. rent before purchase, but trust

Golden Axe: Beast Rider. Why give the game a title BEAST RIDER? You ride the beast just about as much as you did in the original. I admit there's more variety of beast to ride than the original. Not as good as I expected but WE must remember that Golden Axe was always a (hack & slash)adventure FIGHTING game. The control fighting felt awkward at first. I changed my controller configuration to profile 2. That way my attack buttons were (X&Y) and jump was button (A) and magic was (RT). The parrying & evade is where the art of fighting comes into the game. Once you get that technique mastered you will be able to battle multiple enemies at once. Without learning that technique you will get crushed & killed quickly. The gameplay feels more like Conan. So just to give players an idea of how it is. As far as riding the beast goes ...the same rules apply in this Golden Axe as the originals. Your beast will be killed if it takes too many hits or if you use up the entire beast powerful attacks. Mass Effect, in the beginning, had be pretty impressed. I was ready for an epic storyline and serious character development (and was willing to overlook the silly Star Trek-y 'alien' design). About halfway through, I began to wonder... what's the point of having so many different planets to explore if they all have the same buildings?
The answer -- Mass Effect is really a pretty short game, artificially drawn out by the inclusion of a bunch of cookie-cutter 'missions'. Mass Effect's story is pretty interesting, and there's definitely a more pronounced element of 'character development' than in most other console games, but still... it didn't really do it for me.
You are mildly motivated to grind XP and money, as those unlock new skills and items... but really, there's no need, since other enemies level up right along with you. You can rush through the game and do fine. The game is designed to appeal to habitual XP / Gold 'grinders' and loses a bit of its appeal once you realize it (just

First, the instruments are a big improvement over the previous Rock Band. I prefer wireless to wired, which is nice since I live in a small space and storing the wires is a pain. The face of the drums is made of a different material which makes them much less noisy. This is great for those who live in apartment complexes like me. A second smaller improvement, is that the base of the drums which holds the pedal is a different shape, which means the pedal doesn't rotate when the drums are lifted and moved.
Another major improvement over the Guitar Hero series is the ability to export songs. With Rock Band 2 you are able to play most the original Rock Band songs in Rock Band 2 by storing them on your hard drive (This cost 400 MS points and requires an XBox live connection). I really like this feature.
One game play improvement in tour mode, over the original Rock Band, allows you to use your character on every instrument instead of just one. This saves a lot of time on character
