We bought this camera for our 6 year old son after being disappointed with the quality of the Fisher-Price Digital Camera. We are very happy with our purchase. The resolution of the photos is very good and my son loves that he can shoot video, too. I would definitely recommend this camera to others.

I bought one for my small nephew but after previewing it, I know he will be very disappointed. It is very slow. Slower than an old 486 laptop that I have. If your child has ever used your computer, he is not going to want to use this one. The interface is odd and not very intuitive. You would be better off purchasing a low end Windows computer.

The keyboard is cramped, the user interface is wacky, the web browser is crippled, the screen's effective resolution is a meager 800x600, the wireless network is slow, the CPU is sluggish, the RAM and disk space are paltry, but this laptop was never meant for *you*. If you're not certain that you want this laptop, then you probably don't.
Personally, I love it. The XO is rugged, light, small, and utterly silent. It would make a great embedded PC (but be aware that it has ONLY 802.11b, 3x USB, and one SD slot. No 10bT, serial, parallel, VGA, PS/2). The screen is bright and sharp (the 800x600 effective resolution is rendered using a 1200x900 actual resolution). I absolutely hated the keyboard when first I got it, but I'm touch-typing rather quickly on it now (I just ordered a mini USB keyboard, though). Yup, it's bright green and it looks like a Speak-and-Spell. Best $400 I spent in a long time.

This is a wonderful example of excellent price/value relationship. This provides all the features I've seen in packs twice the cost. Am using this as my carry-on for travel tours. It provides easy access to my laptop, camera, cell phone, tickets/passport, reading & writing material,
and the list goes on. There are all sorts of pockets to keep items organized and easily available. With all that, it still is not overly bulky and leaves my hands and arms free to handle other luggage and do other things. I would recommend this travel assistant to anyone travel on a commercial carrier.

We bought our XO during the original G1G1 program. There are a lot of things I love about the XO: it is a very cool piece of hardware well targeted at a young audience, and has some fun software on it as well. It really needs a curriculum (and teacher) to get the most out of it. So don't buy it for a child thinking they will get a lot out of it on their own.
Where the XO really falls down is in the user interface. Rather than use a common style (Windows, MacOS and Linux desktops all have similar interfaces) the XO uses Sugar. Sugar is an absolute pain. If it was extremely easy and logical to use I wouldn't mind that the interface does not prepare a student for the future OS they might use. As it is students and adult mentors will feel crippled, AND they won't be prepared for future desktop interfaces.
So basically the XO is really for tech enthusiasts.

Low price for a well made Computer messenger Bag. Will hold your computer, a 3 inch paper notebook, medium file folders, papers as well as pens and pencils and even you water bottle. The price is amazingly low for such great quality.

This bag is wonderful for those who need to carry a lot of things with their laptop. You can tell this has Swiss Army DNA. A security strap holds the computer securely inside and a large pocket holds power cords or accessories. An outside pocket has spots for drives, disks or other needs.
Good to carry things, but not so bulky that you can't carry it.

I do not have a review yet, because I just ordered, but I am wondering if
you ever let a person know just where the computer they bought goes? It would be very fun to know what country and city or village the computer went to.

I did my first G1G1 deal last Christmas. No idea where the "Gift XO" went, but I know I'm the first on my block to have an XO and I LOVE it!
I look up EVERYTHING!!! And it's neat to be the "Answer Lady". Like: Who was that actor on TV? Google Imdb.com and BINGO! With Wikipedia I really do have ALL the answers right at my fingertips - on health information, home remedies... you name it. I've even looked up recipes and have the XO on the counter in book mode. Don't have to worry about spills. It's awesome!
It's super for handling remote email when I travel and it fits in my soft laptop case along with a bunch of PDAs and other gadgets and gizmos I can't live without. Since I sell OnTimeRx medication reminder software, I need to supply unlock keys and/or tech support 24/7. It serves very nicely as a "branch office" laptop. It will never replace my "real PC or laptop" for work, but it is wonderful on the go...

I looked at a lot of laptop backpacks before I settled on this one. I'm glad I spent the time researching. I love this bag!
To make my morning commute easier, I can carry my laptop and all its accoutrements, as well as my purse and my lunch all in one bag. Sure, it's heavy that way, but I'd much rather carry one heavy bag than to try to schlep three or four things along with a travel mug of coffee.
Love it.

I have one of the original 60GB PS3 systems but always wanted the gunmetal gray. Unfortunately the crazy price this was originally selling for through Konami was not justified based on the specs. The amazon price is a great deal - love the gunmetal color. The fact that it doesn't retain fingerprints is a real bonus.
The biggest upgrade in my opinion is that this PS3 system is so much quieter than my old 60GB. The fan is nearly silent whereas my old system would ramp up to a level that was VERY audible in quiet parts of movies.
The 40GB was not a drawback at all in my opinion. Just swap out for a bigger one - its easy to do and the drives are not that expensive. I already had a 160GB 7200rpm drive that was waiting to go.
Since I already had MGS4 game I didn't need the LE version, but since it is going for big $ on auction that will further offset the cost. I don't care about being able to play PS2 games cause they look like bad on the big screen anyway. The memory card slots were

This PS3 is amazing. The "Hagane" gunmetal finish 40GB PS3 is awsome compared to the greasy fingerprint and fine dust SUPER MAGNET piano black 80GB. I had the black PS3 awhile ago when it first came out and I was so annoyed everytime I looked at it I had to grab the microfiber rag and wipe it clean of the fine dust. After wipping it so much it would leave visible scratches that just diminish the look of the PS3. Now that problem is gone...the grey finish looks so elegant and unique that I had to show it off and place it right next to the lcd in the living room. So in conclusion grab this while its available the game that it comes with is worth more than the measly 40GB that you are giving up compared to the piano black 80GB.

I ordered my new XO Monday, it arrived Tuesday--and with the free super-saver shipping. Much faster than last year's promotion!
I have 2 now and I love them. No, they don't replace my full-size laptop but once I added a s-card and upgraded the browser and word processing package (information available on the OLPC wiki) on the one I purchased last year, it has become very functional for me. I've mostly used my first one as a pdf reader during meetings for access to the meeting material (and once my colleagues figured out that I wasn't sitting there playing games, they became jealous and wanted to know where I got it!) I also like using it as an e-book reader: the movable/flippable screen makes it much easier to use than my laptop when curled up with an e-book.

Suggested additional purchase: A USB flash drive 512MB or larger to be able to perform the "Clean Install" restore procedure outlined on the laptop.org Wiki if necessary.
I bought two of these last year in the initial "Give 1 Get 1" program.
Non-technical purchasers who are thinking of buying these for kids should think of this as a $200 specialized "learning and educational games" machine, like the LeapFrog Leapster or a Speak-and-Spell. This is NOT a Windows or Macintosh type machine. It can browse text and image web pages like Wikipedia, but will NOT be able to play YouTube movies or WebKinz games or Disney web site games.
With that said, the device is fantastic. This is a computer that is (almost) fully specified to you-the-customer, from the ground up. (Think a new automobile that has the full factory service manual available). If you are interested in project/learning kit type items, this is extremely tinker-friendly.
The system software still feels a little bumpy for some

I have three of these OLPC XO-1's. The first I got through the G1G1 program and the other 2 off Ebay because the G1G1 had ended by the time I received it to try it out. It is nice to see the xo is available for a limited time, once again!
The Lithium Iron battery, the screen that is readable in full sunlight and also complete darkness, and the separate external antennas for wifi are amazing innovations! The keys on the keypad are silent as are the solid state drive and no fan, so I can use it when I can not sleep at night, in bed, without waking the dogs or disturbing the wife.
I carry an xo-1 with me in the car with a Linksys wrt54g3g-st router with a Pantech PCMCIA Sprint laptop connect card which I can plug into the cigarette lighter along with the xo to get wifi internet to feed the xo on the road anywhere there is Sprint service. Both the router and xo run fine off 12 volts from the cigarette lighter though the xo power plug is not a standard one. I keep a "deep cycle" Marine battery

This model is different from the current 80 gig playstation 3 in the following ways: it has a 40 gig HD, it is gun metal instead of piano black, and it includes a limited edition copy of Metal Gear Solid 4.
If you plan on using this system as a true media center, than the HD is probably too small. This would most likely be the case with an 80 gig HD as well. Fortunately, the PS3 uses laptop HDs which are plentiful and cheap. Another reviewer has already addressed this.
The system itself is beautiful and the production run of this package is supposedly very limited. This means you will have a unique PS3 many will envy. It also means that many accessories (ie: additional control, headset, etc.) will not match the color scheme. If you have never played MGS, the series is very engrossing; this game was created to sell systems. Despite the smaller HD and the lack of matching accessories, I am very pleased with this purchase.

I am very satisfied with this purchase because I think this is a fantastic deal for the following reasons:
1). Price is same as the 80GB but you get MGS4 with this one
2). I want to upgrade the hard drive anyway so even the 80Gb to me is still useless. I would rather get the free game than an extra 40Gb (I plan to put 1TB anyway)
3). The gunmetal finish is very classy and unique no more stains and greasy finger marks
4). SUPER FAST shipping I got it within 2 days using the SUPER SAVER FREE shipping method.
5). Oh did I mention I was NOT charged tax on this either final price I paid was $399.96!!
6). I already have a HDMI cable from my DVD player (which I will not be using now since I got the ps3 looking forward to blu-ray) will just use that HDMI cable so problem solved.
The only thing I need is the remote which I would have to get anyway regardless of 40Gb or 80GB. Unable to play PS2 games is not a concern for me as I never had a PS2. The way I look at it is a win-win situation

This is the second Swiss Gear pack that I've gotten for my son. He had the first one for a couple of years before he lost it (or it was stolen), he's been without for a few months so I offered to purchase him a new pack from the store and he said "thanks but no thanks" I don't just want any backpack... hmmm, in otherwords, please order me another Swiss Gear backpack... Amazon has the best prices of Swiss Gear hands down and with super saver shipping it can't be beat!

The purchase of the case logic notebook sleeve was worth every penny. This product is durable, water resistant, and works really well. I would definitely recommend it.

I had sat on the sidelines of the next gen video games up until a couple of weeks ago. I had tried Wii almost as soon as it came out and was captivated by the motion sensors but the limited availability and sameness to the games as well as limited graphics was frustrating.
Xbox 360 the $50 a year subscription and more importantly it lost the Blu-ray/HD battle were big no points for me. I enjoy games, my wife does not. She does enjoy movies and the internet. When I pointed out that PS3 was a Blu-ray player (with excellent reviews) and could let us surf the internet, she was all for it.
I have an 'old' HDTV (3 years old). It has a maximum resolution of 1080i and a DVI input but no HDMI. I did some research before buying this so I bought an HDMI to DVI cable at the same time. I was worried about hooking it up and getting it to look right and also getting sound. I should not have been. It took literally a few minutes. Plugged the HDMI end into the PS3 and the DVI end into the HDTV. Received
