I purchased this TV locally at Wal-Mart in June, 2008 for $686. In the store it has rolled back to $598 in November and is currently $498 on line Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday (Out of Stock on line). WOW!!
The Wal-Mart extended warranty mirrors the Sony warranty, meaning in home service, which can be purchased in the store for two years and there is a three year option (True three year) on line for $88. Wal-Mart has a ninety day no hassle return policy. Great selling points.
After my 30 inch Toshiba CRT television failed I compared Sony, Samsung and Panasonic 32 to 37 inch varieties. For a viewing distance of about 15 feet, I thought the 32 inch would suffice. However, it is just a bit too small. I opted for the 32 inch TV, since one person could carry it and it would easily fit in the backseat of my car to bring it home from the store. In retrospect, the Sony 37 inch may have been a better fit in the room, and it might have just squeezed in the back seat of my car. However,

I purchaced this bundle for my 7yr old nephew and he absolutely loves it; a no brainer because what kid wouldn't love a PS2!? Throwing in Lego Batman and a Justice League DVD only sweetens the deal and gives the kid a good family game and movie right out of the box. If you're looking to introduce your young one to videogaming but don't think they're ready for(or don't want to pay for) one of the current generation consoles, than I would definately recommend this PS2 bundle!

I love OLED technology. We needed a new set in the guest bath, so we ordered one of these on a whim. We all fell in love with them, and so the whole family wanted one. The next thing we ordered 6 more--one for each of the kids' rooms and the other bathrooms. I logged on today to buy 2 more after my wife found someone who could do a custom install in the H2's. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough room to put them in the H3's, so the kids will have to wait a year until they can trade up to something bigger.
I considered getting one for the master bedroom, but my one gripe is that the set is a little small. It's hard to replace a 50" screen with a 10" one. My wife said there was already too much undersized hardware in the bedroom. I'm not sure what she meant by that. I put a call into Sony, and they are accepting 10% deposits on the upcoming 36" OLED set. So that's something to consider. For the $5,000 you would spend for just two of the current OLED's, you can get on the waiting

I have both recorders and I saw the difference. The Sony: You cannot record movies from movie channels like HBO ect. In the Panasonic yes you can. The record quality is better in the Panasonic. As a costumer that has both I recommend the Panasonic - DVD-R/-RW/+R/+RW/RAM Recorder/VCR Combo with Digital tuner than Sony.. My favorite brand is Sony but I was disappointed with this.
Bad quality in recording in 3H (LP), 4H (EP), 6H (SLP), 8H (SEP)recording modes and cannot record movies from movie channels (Copy protected movie). Well now you know. The right choice right now is Panasonic.

Bought the Sony 40" 1080P Z LCD running with PS3 over Monster 1000M HDMI. Verdict, Amazing Picture! Go ahead buy Wall-E BluRay and turn on the TVs Motion Enhancer on Standard or High. This is as close to 3D as you can get. Absolutey breath taking during the SpaceWalk scene.
LCD pix looks very good with HD TV and digital cable even looks better then regular 1080I TVs. Amazon is currently offering this TV at a huge discount. Buy this TV or its 46" sister, and you will be happy. The TV on Vivid setting is very bright so you will need to have a very bright roon or manually tweak the custom setting. Also, TV comes with no cables, so you will need to buy high end cables for your HDTV and Blu Ray to get the perfect picture.

I am so glad I waited for this player. The picture and sound are fantastic and I couldn't be happier. The only "issue" I had was the memory card which came with the player. It had an intermittent contact problem that I tracked down to the card itself. I talked to no less than 4 different customer service representatives before I found one who instructed me to send JUST the memory card to their service facility. The others wanted me to box up the whole player and send it back, all for a $12 memory card. Once the card was received by the service center, the technician called to verify the problem and my troubleshooting steps. He not only sent me a new memory card but 3 movies for my trouble. Though frustrating at times, ALL the customer service agents were very polite and wanted to help. But if the issue isn't "in the script", it seemed to cause a lot of confusion.

When I set out to buy my home theater in a box I set out to Best Buy to get demos of all of the latest and greatest toys. When I told the sales person my requirements (blu-ray disc player, wireless rear speakers, preferably Sony) this was the model he brought me to. Not being too impressed with the size of the speakers (if fact, I told him they were very cute), I quickly mentioned I wanted something with power.
What can I say? After the demo, I was blown away. I thought it was some kind of trick and Sony had pulled the wool over my eyes to get me to drop a thousand big ones. I went to every tiny speaker and covered it with my hand to check as to how much sound was coming out. Trust me, there is power in those golf ball sized speakers. I was so impressed, bought it immediately.
When I got it home it was like Christmas, and I had it out of the box in less than 5 minutes. All of the speakers are color coded, so it's really idiot proof. Because I didn't mount anything to the wall it took

This is one of those special products where the performance meets or exceeds the superb design. The physical appearance of this Sony product complements any home or office. However the physical appearance does not detract from the absolute first class performance. Frequently devices that look this good simply do not meet technical expectations. Well, this desktop is excellent.
The integration of the computer within a screen is necessarily the result of notebook type architecture. I mean this in the sense that this computer is not simply a generic box with various off-the-rack components as needed. The compact size required the type of engineering that can only be offered by a large company with a commitment to industrial design as well as technology. While the end result is not inexpensive, all I can say is that you get what you pay for.

What do I say about Resistance 2? Perhaps it's the most gorgeous and entertaining game to be released in years. Perhaps it has seriously shattered some technological barriers and raised the action bar that much higher.Yes,that's a good start.Resistance 2 picks up at the exact second where the original ended, and the changes are obvious. For example, character motion both in-game and during movies is fully motioned captured,no more quick and edgy animations.Voice acting and sound quality are far above the current competition, every clink/clank/step/jingle and bullet whisper is highly detailed for your hearing pleasure.Graphically, this game is light years beyond the original,Resistance 2 is the first third-generation PS3 title and it shines beyond compare.Dozens of new weapons, abilities, enemies and even bosses provide hours of nonstop action. However, for those who loved the co-op campaign of the first title,Resistance 2 has scrapped the idea altogether. It does however feature a co-op side story

At the moment, this is the top-of-the-line Sony flagship in LCD television. Consequently, as you might expect, the color, image, and performance are superb. The picture is honestly nothing short of spectacular.
It was a great disappointment, however, to discover that "mura" (also called black clouding), an irregularity in the LCD panel that keeps it from going dark evenly during playback of a very dark scene or during a dip-to-black in the program material, is STILL an issue with the XBR6 family. I found posts about this problem as far back as the XBR2.
Simply said, "mura" (the japanese word for "unevenness") is a quality control issue. Some sets have it, some don't. The larger the panel is, the harder it is to build it perfectly, and the nature of LCD backlighting makes it difficult to build a large, LCD screen that renders a pure black screen evenly without clouding. But not impossible. Other manufacturers with fewer accolades about their onscreen images don't seem to have

After loosing my AC power cord to my camcorder, I was looking for an INEXPENSIVE solution to power my camera back up. This charger is not heavy duty, definitely not that sturdy so be careful, but it most certainly fits the bill. You can't beat the price $11.99 + free shipping and I received it at my house in only 4-5 days. The only similar one I could find in stores around me cost $44.95+tax, so I am very happy with this purchase so far!

I have bought 4 -5 sets of headphones to wear while exercising and 2 have been Sony. By far, Sony has the best sound quality.
I wanted to get away from the in ear type because they eventually fall out so I purchased these but they are not suitable for use while jogging are aerobic type exercise. However, I tend to use them while house cleaning or long road trips with family while my husband drives.

I wanted the biggest set I could buy and fit into the built-in opening in our home (my wife's only requirement). I knew I would be paying extra for a Sony, but decided to make the plunge, since other 40" screens were several inches wider. This set is slim and atractive.
I have only had this set for a weeks and am still learning about it's many functions. My set is attached to cable, a blu-ray player for DVDs, and an older Denon A/V amp via S-Video for sound output.
Before buying, I researched features availble in a 40" LCD set in the store and on-line. This set led the pack in many ways. The picture is incredable. Plus, if you are into adjustments, you have a great deal of control over the picture settings. I have viewed in a highly lit room as well as in the dark. It's high contrast ratio makes it easy to watch in both situations. I can not detect the blurring, many LDCs suffer from in action sceans.
It packs all the latest video inhancements but most importantly, 120Hz, 24p.

Summary: Good value for the price and a big improvement over TV speakers, but surround effect is weak and there are some limitations in connectivity, subwoofer placement, remote control and audio settings.
I wanted something that would provide improved TV and DVD sound as well as streamed iTunes music without investing a lot of money. This system fills those requirements very well. The sound has a satisfying richness and depth, although the "surround" effect is weak. More like being surrounded on 3 sides, which is pretty much the norm for systems without real rear speakers. To their credit, Sony did not try to mask this limitation by adding reverb effects at ridiculous levels like some systems I've heard.
I'm happy with my choice, but if you are contemplating buying this system you should be aware of some of its limitations:
Connectivity-
There are 4 A/V inputs. Three can be connected via either HDMI (video & audio) or digital optical cable (audio). The SAT input also has a Coax jack.

I got my S-Frame DPF-V900 for Mother's Day and I love it. I had researched digital frames and got a Pandigital frame for my parents last Christmas. I was impressed with the Pandigital but the Sony S-Frame picture quality, feature set, and ease-of-use can't be beat! I was especially impressed with the easy-to-use interface which makes setup and modifications a breeze. I also like the calendar with picture view feature as I keep this frame on my desk at work. I am very impressed with the overall product quality and design of the frame and the frames ability to auto rotate images if you change the frame orientation from horizontal to vertical.
