This product worked well enough for a few months. After that, though, it died. The company's customer service was terrible. They wanted to charge me an outrageous amount of money for a new power adapter plus shipping. Turns out that the problem was not the power adapter - the unit's just dead. Good luck with this company! I feel sorry for those who don't check reviews online.

I bought this for my parents last Christmas. It worked fine until this past October (of course, after the 3 month warranty) when it just simply stopped working. It was never dropped or anything. The power light was on, but that's all. I called tech support, who told me there was nothing that could be done, and all they could do was to send me a 50% off coupon for the purchase of the same model. When I asked the guy why I would want to buy the same brand again when it just stops working he answered simply "I understand." I don't know if ours was a lemon or not, but I'm certainly not going to risk a Smarparts purchase ever again!

I can't believe that Consumer Reports recommended anything from this company. I got this frame for my husband as an anniversary gift in August, and I still don't have a working frame (I write this on November 16). The first frame never turned on. It was completely dead. I tried running the update that Smartparts wants you to do online, and that did nothing. I contacted the company and was told I would receive a new power cord. The cord never came. I called back and was told that the cord wouldn't have fixed the problem (which made me realize that this must be a frequent issue) and that they had no record of my phone call. They asked me to run the update again. Nothing. They emailed me a return label and I sent the frame to them for repair for replacement. I got my second frame, but they didn't send back the power cord, the remote, or the stand. Kind of tough to use a frame with no power source. After a week or so, I got those parts and the did turn on...for a day. The morning after I got

I bought one of these about a year ago. Was VERY happy with it...great picture quality, features, resolution, etc.. Note they only come with a 90-day warranty. Guess they don't feel very confident about their own product. Well, the remote stopped working and it's less than a year old. I figured it might need a new lithium battery in the remote, so I carefully tried removing the old one. That's when the cheap plastic battery holder broke. Getting around that problem, it still would not work. I emailed the company. After several tries they emailed me they were sending out a free new replacement remote. That made me happy. After two weeks it never arrived. So I contacted them again. Remember this took several emails on my part, and finally a phone call to someone in tech support (Angel) who assured me a new one had been mailed. That first one had never, of course, been sent. They finally did send out a new replacement remote, it looks different, I'm not sure if it's even the right one. Either

I previously bought a 10MP Fuji camera. I returned it because it was not a good camera. It was tough choosing another camera that was not too expensive. After a lot of time I chose this one and I am glad I did.
I like a digital camera that takes good shots of people. I like a camera that brings out good flesh tones in people. This camera does it. Most all the pictures are sharp with great color. NO camera will make perfect shots on every shot. This one has a high success rate especially in auto mode. I have some great shots of El Salvador!
I have a 10MP DSLR that is great. For taking regular snapshots of life, this little baby is great. It is clean, clear and small. It did take a while to learn the buttons and menus but take your time, you will learn.

I bought this frame to use at work, but soon discovered the fluorescent lights in my office were just too bright for the frame, even though I increased the brightness all the way up. It also is just too small to appreciate at any distance over an arm's length away.

Pros:
10.2 megapixels, relatively low noise, especially at higher ISOs compared to other consumer-grade digicams.
Optical AND digital image stabilization.
Very compact.
Macro shots work well when light is plentiful.
USB cable allows camera to act as high-speed mass media storage access, and charges the battery while it's connected to the PC.
Good quality xvid-encoded video. You can zoom in and out while recording video, but the sound drops out. Also has an anti-shake feature while recording.
Cons:
The autofocus is the worst I've seen on any digicam in years. It usually takes 3-4 attempts before it's able to get a clear focus on anything. As long as you're taking pictures of trees it's fine, but good luck trying to snap something moving. It also renders the ISO1600 setting relatively useless due to it's inability to focus on anything remotely dim, even when using the integrated autofocus lamp.
The major flaw is the autoISO feature. Most cameras will pick the appropriate ISO given

Absolutely wonderful product. Easy setup, beautiful picture quality. Works well with MAC or PC formats.
Only "slight" adjustment for us was that it has a 4" gap between unit and wall. Has produced many "Wow" moments in our office.

My daughter-in-law bought this model and asked me to help her set it up. I am an advanced computer user and digital photographer. Pros: Nice looking frame Cons: Insertion of the SD card from her camera was easy and the pictures started to display. The quality was adequate, but not stunning. However, there is very little control on how long the image is on the screen. In slideshow mode, the pictures change every few seconds. You can pause the picture and keep it on the screen, but then must change the photo. It's nice when you can vary the display time (like on my Kodak model). Also, there are no transition choices. Secondly (and this is the main reason I am returning it), some of the pictures are rotated 90 deg. Now you can manually turn them to the correct viewing angle, but the next time they appear in the slideshow, they revert back to the un-rotated position. Not good. I apparently got a bad unit because all images start to fade and turn into negatives/inverted colors after three minutes of a slideshow. I wrote an email to Smartparts support yet without reply. I will post what will they suggest I do and how will they behave to fix/replace the unit. In the meantime, I also got a PortableUSA PU-10WE which is amazing in terms of picture quality, overall looks and user interface. I would so far recommend the 10inch PU-10WE from PortableUSA over the 12inch SmartParts frame. Both have 800x600 resolution and about the same features. The 12inch unit is a lot larger than the 10inch frame but more because of the wooden frame around the display. In terms of space, I would not say that 12inch screen adds significantly to the 10inch. After being able to compare both sizes, I would go for the 10inch size rather than the 12inch.

This is a cute little camera with good number of features for a reasonable price. It will definetly be a good competitor for Canon SD series. I bought it to gift someone and they really luved it. The pics have come very good. Most adorable feature is its size which snuggly fits into ur shirt or pant pocket. Its a good buy for point and shoot models. Need to see how it performs in long run.

I've only seen this occur once so I haven't experimented with what causes it or how to fix it easily, but I converted all my 4/3 images size to match the exact resolution of the frame (800x600) and they display perfectly fine now.

I just got this camera today so it won't reflect too much on technical aspects/features. First of all I want to say that the picture featured here and Best Buy for L200 isn't correct. If you want to see the accurate picture then find L210 model and L200 looks exactly like that model. Only difference between the two model is L200 has Digital Image Stabilizer and L210 has Dual Stabilizer (both optical and digital).
I was really surprised at how small this camera is. I know lot of people actually coomplains of the compactness of some digital cameras, now I see their reason for complaint. Because it really does feel like it might slip and fall. But I like compact/thin cameras so it was big plus for me.
It comes with an AC adapter so you are not stuck with USB cable to recharge the camera through your computer. Also included in the package is A/V cable to view pictures or video directly through TV monitor.
Manual that comes with the package isn't much help since it's just a quick reference

This product works well with vivid colors and high resolution (note that these photo frames vary in resolution - the higher the better). The controls are easy to use via the remote. I use the random display function which does not seem to be completely random but still works well. This size frame is best for a desk or end/coffee table. For something placed on a mantle across the room I would recommend a larger size.

I have now bought 4 different model Smartparts digital photo frames with about the same pixel ratings, and all are excellent. The first one is on a Coast Guard ship in the Bering Stait and keeps family and friends close to the heart. It has played non stop since 1/08. Since this unit came aboard, many were impressed and bought them for themselves. The second one is in an office building, same age, same usage. never problems. The rest are since then. The pictures are clear, the unit is well lit and very easy to start up. I use a digital card so that I can keep lots of memories handy, rather than using the internal memory. I just copy pictures from my camera, scanner or the computer into a folder, copy that to the SD card, insert it into the frame and let the smiles begin! I had tried a smaller 7 " but found that unless I was close, I could not see it as easily as the 8" with my middle aged eyes! Non of us have chosen to add music, so the sound quality is uncertain. This is a great gift

This camera is easy to use with all the special features of a much more expensive camera. It takes videos with sound that you can instantly play back. With a 4GB memory card you can take up to 800 super fine 10mp pictures. It is very slim and easily fits in a pocket. The software program was simple to install on my computer; I then plugged in the camera and uploaded the pictures. It took wonderful close ups of my kids. I love the pictures you can take in a series. It took super scenic pictures on our hike and great pictures of fireworks.

Bought a Samsung NV24HD digital camera from Amazon on May 24, 2008. When I tried to register it online, I'd get a message that it wasn't a valid serial number. I didn't give that much thought, thinking perhaps they hadn't caught up with their production. Today is July 17, 2008 and they still haven't caught up.
I have found the camera difficult to set, difficult to use, and I've been unable to download pictures from the SD card unless I put the card in my Canon camera which works fine. I loaded the Samsung Master software into two PCs running Windows Vista. Neither computer recognized the camera. After an hour on the Samsung tech line it was agreed the camera is defective. When I asked for an address where to send it, I was asked for the serial number. I read it off and they told me it is not a valid serial number. Upon speaking to a higher up it was finally admitted the camera was manufactured in April of this year, "but we probably haven't caught up.
Amazon refused to give me a full refund.

I've been researching digital frames and after much confusion I made the choice to buy this one. I'm so pleased that I haven't had any problems, and the picture quality is excellent. After I bought this model I found out that it was rated the highest of models recently evaulated by Consumer Reports. I have thousands of photos on CD's, and the frame is supposed to hold 3,000 pics if you set them to be optimized by the frame software. I currently used the USB from frame to computer, to transfer the pictures from my CD's. As I take new photos I'll transfer them directly from the camera memory card.
The frame is made of wood; a beautiful stained walnut. The matting on the frame is a creme color, although it looks like peach on my monitor. Overall it's a well-made frame.
