No missions in this game significantly stand out(My personal favorite was a Russian Sniper one and probably the only one I'd have a desire to play again). Many of them are just frustrating and not in a good way. I found majority of the places you seek cover from enemy fire are of no help at all as you will always be constantly shot from somewhere no matter where you are hiding. (You can lay down in front of cover and still be shot from straight ahead)
Your team A.I. is on par with the mentally disabled and do not help other than providing meat shields for you and the occasional team kill to get more ammo.
On the other hand the graphics are great. A lot of work was put into the scenery but not into the gameplay. Majority of the levels are excellently designed but the gameplay inside those levels is weak at best.
In conclusion, Call of Duty World at War is a step down in all aspects from Call of Duty 4. My rating has nothing to do with a WWII vs. Modern shooter. I enjoy any FPS genre and I just believe WaW was more concerned with everything going on around the player and not the player themselves.

Monopoly: Xbox 360

on Free Parking", Number of houses/hotels, mortgage rate, etc. The game play is pretty darned customizable, so that's a plus. There is a wide range of board themes. There's the obvious standard one, a future theme, a World Board, a Jungle Board, even food themes like chocolate and cheese. Each of these themes have appropriately named properties too (things like "Polar Bear Mountain" and "Blizzard Plains" for an ice themed board). There is a very strong variety of play here - without changing the basic game at all. And that is just in standard mode.

There is another mode called "Richest" Edition, where you play with some new rules. One of which is no money. Richest uses no money at all - when you owe someone money, you have to give or take properties. When I first played it, I thought it was going to stink - the formula is changed around a lot, but I have to say, I really ended up enjoying it. The lack of money gave the game a rather different, and very enjoyable feel to me. There are also mini games in between rounds in the "Richest" mode to play which are loosely based on certain aspects of Monopoly. The mini games are kind of hit or miss depending on which one you get (there's about a dozen different ones, including one bizarre one where you have to take X-Rays of the Pennybags character). But I do have to say I really took to the Richest Edition variant of game play. It's notably shorter than regular games of Monopoly, which is one thing to take into account.

So I was really quite enjoying this game, which brings me to the strongest negative to this title. THERE IS NO SORT OF MULTIPLAYER OVER XBOX LIVE! THIS IS A FAILURE OF EPIC PROPORTIONS! How a game like Monopoly could be created without any sort of online play in 2008 is beyond me. It's not like this a Gears of War game or a Halo 3 where you have to push massive amounts of bits up and down an Internet connection. It's Monopoly. I cannot fathom why there was no Xbox Live play here - it just boggles my mind that I cannot do this. This is such a major drawback, I can see it preventing a lot of people from buying the game. Yeah, there's multiplayer locally. You can play up to four people here on the same console. But to be honest, if I have four people in my living room, I'm going to play the real board game version. I might have been inclined to give this game five stars in my review, but the lack of Xbox Live play takes it down to three. It makes me think this omission is why the game ha a list price of $39 instead of the $59 most Xbox 360 games have.

Still, my feelings on lack of Xbox LIVE play aside, this is a very good representation of Monopoly. If you are big time into Monopoly, and always wanted to play but had nobody to do it with, this can work for you. It is a very good game of Monopoly, and the new modes bring a fresh flavor to a game that most of us know pretty darned well.

I wrote this review on the Xbox 360 version. It is also out on the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, as well as the Wii. I do not know the multiplayer situation on those, but if they can play online, and the 360 version cannot, I'll be even more irritated at that.

My first time through some levels, I was running into walls and things that I really shouldn't have been. I kept going, though, and while I'm still not the best, I've been able to blast through some stages without much trouble at all.

Speaking of the levels, they are diverse and fun. Some, you are Nights, and you have different time limits and goals that must be accomplished, and others you are either the boy or the girl, who each have different missions to accomplish. (And finishing the game with both of them gives you a different ending.)

The end bosses are varied as well, with different techniques used to defeat each of them. The very first one I fought was kind of like a big pinball game, where the boss was the pinball and I was throwing him through it. That one was difficult to get used to, as the level switches from a vertical plane to a horizontal one, just for that.

While the game is a little short, that is sort of a blessing, as some of the levels are huge and would take a long time to learn. I constantly go back through old levels, though. I can always get better at the game, and it's really fun to re-play.

Level design is truly inspired, as there are many various level types and game play styles.

It makes me wish they'd either create a sequel, or update the original Sega Saturn game for Wii.

me when i move on to the next game...nothing memorable except tons of zombies running at you...the game also is not scary..no spookyness to it...this game could have been way better(the 1 player story mode anyway)..but it still had me in zombie heaven...great animations when you shoot them, good graphics..old school zombie flick music that was perfect...good zombie game that could have been better.

Sonic Unleashed: Nintendo Wii

of best graphics you'll see on the Wii and CG cut scenes are great with good story to back it up. My only problems are they should had less Werehog stages,more speed stages, rid of all text screens,The wiimote and nunchuck combo sadly are worst controls of game, and get rid of reptetive task of having to read samething. Overall game is pretty good and does better then Sonic and Secret rings or Sonic The Hedgehog on 360 and it barely does better then Sonic Heroes. My last thing I should say is when playing this game is to use the classic controller or gamecube for more precise controls asides from that most people asides from fans of hedgehog will indeed enjoy this game.

The Last Remnant: Xbox 360

position Rush near which enemies you wish to encounter...resume a normal time flow and the battle ensues. There are greater rewards for linking more enemies in a battle...so keep this in mind. Now that we've engaged the enemy it's time to start the battle. The first thing you'll notice is that you don't have control over your characters...instead, a morale bar determines which type of orders you may issue to your union. Depending on which commands you issue, depends on how the battle goes. Do well, and more enemies will be defeated. Do poorly, and the more damage your union will take. This feature does have drawbacks as you won't always be allowed to choose the commands you'd like or the commands best suited for the situation...but it does allow for some advanced tactics when attacking the enemy. After the battle some monsters may be captured and used to create new weapons or sold for loot.

Graphics and sound:

The graphics aren't up to next gen standards but they'll suffice...load screens are rather painful to bear through and the game does suffer from slow downs...but unlike other games, The Last Remnant does make a great attempt at creating a vivid fantasy realm and a grand battle structure...which lead to the reasons for the slow downs...too much of a good thing, methinks? The music, on the other hand, is nothing short of amazing...and does a great job conveying the emotions of the game. The voice acting is a step down from the superior music but gets the job done.

Final Thoughts:

There are some flaws in The Last Remnant but those flaws can be over-looked. The biggest problem is the bar Square has set and this game falls a bit short of that bar, but they have created a game that will keep the gamer occupied until the day Final Fantasy XIII is released.

I give this bundle 5 Stars because of price. The games are fun enough for kids as well and even if they played it a couple of times only, you get your money worth (though you will likley get hours of play out of Viva Pinata alone). I bought 1 bundle and am considering buying a couple more to give to friends kids. Viva Pinata also has on-line multiplayer, and my older kids can play with their friends over live as well.

in the gameplay department. While seemingly open and free, the game is restrictive and linear. There were several situations where I should have been able to move through the level, but I encountered invisible walls because the developers wanted me to do a specific chain of moves, instead of the ones I had improvised myself.

Trial and error gameplay rears its ugly head here, as well. I died over and over and over again until I figured out the proper method to progress. For a game that wants you to run away from fights, rather than fight, the number of times you are forced into combat makes things rather difficult, more so than it needed to be.

And finally, the city is gorgeous and sterile. We're supposed to believe that big brother watches everyone and everything. Yet, by the end of the game you'll start to see it's all superficial. Where are the civilians? Where are the drone-like workers in the offices? You'll run through long empty corridors, large lifeless offices, and only get the glimpse of a few people walking in the streets below you. Instead of feeling dystopian and conformist, it feels dead and lifeless.

Despite these flaws, I still think that Mirror's Edge is one of the most memorable games I've played in a long time. Memorable, yet flawed.
