I ordered this xbox elite console thinking it was just the system alone, but i did a little research and found out that it was the holiday bundle that they are selling in stores now. The description does not list it but it is the holiday bundle; mine came with the kung fu panda and LEGOs indiana jones games. If you are skeptical, just look at the product coe and copy and paste it into google and you will see what I am talking about. So that is why I labeled this "BUY THIS CONSOLE." Not only are you buying a NEW console, but the holiday bundle at a great price, especially if you have a code "wink, wink"

I have to admit I was quite disapointed with this release. I had been deciding between purchasing this or Left 4 Dead and ultimately went with Left 4 Dead. I decided to rent this title the other night to see if I made the correct decision. Good thing I did.
I've always been a big fan of the Call of Duty series but this one was no where near the bar set by Call of Duty 4. First of all, I beat the campaign in around 3-4 hours and was quite confused when the credits started to roll. There was no significant ending to the American campaign whatsoever.
Overall, the levels are far too linear. However, sometimes you do get to choose between two or so paths to your objective. One very frustrating thing I found was getting over obstacles. For example, in Call of Duty 4 virtually all obstacles could be climbed over/up on but in this one you find yourself constantly getting stuck behind things as only a very very small percentage of obstacles can be climbed so in many cases you have no idea

This bundle it's an excellent option to people like me, who is buying a 360 for the second or third time. You know the deal... 3 red lights and nothing to do.
So if you by any chance happend to be a proud owner of a dead xbox360 with lots of games, 2 or 3 controllers and a working hard drive, do not hesitate to buy this arcade bundle.
PS: sorry for the bad writing, i'm from Costa Rica

This release is quite the anomaly. First off, I didn't even know it was out - a friend of mine who works at Electronic Arts told me that it had come out. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have known. Now that's not a fault of the game mind you, but for such a classic board game, you'd think it would be a little more promoted. That issue aside..
I was quite looking forward to playing it. I'm a Monopoly fan, and my wife is not, so I never get to play anymore. So I was looking forward to getting in some Monopoly. I sat down, fired it up, and played a few single player games. The game does a very good job at replicating the board game onscreen. There have been some Monopoly games on the PC in the past, and this one is quite good. The graphics look quite spectacular on my 46" HDTV. But the game play is right. So much so that there's a whole gaggle of custom rules you can put into play. Things such as "Land on Go, get double pay", "All tax goes into pile which is won by landing

i have stumbled upon this game while searching for other fps titles...at first, i was contemplating to whether or not it's worth purchasing, after a short period of times, i decided to go ahead since its price won't set me back too much.it turns out i have so much fun playing it that, after beating it for the first time, i keep coming back and replaying it over and over again. there is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to story-wise; so, if you could skip ahead of the plot, i guarantee that you'll have a wonderful time especially your trigger-finger!check it out for yourself.

I got the Holiday Xbox 360 bundle and this version of the Xbox is a lot better then the old one it run almost as quit as my PS3 and cool. The old Xbox 360 sounded like you had an AC running in your room and had an over heating issue. My Xbox build date was October so it's the third generation Xbox and no problems so far.

Some of the negative reviews complain about scratching too hard and losing the code and therefore their money. Those reviews are for an older generation of this card; the one I got (11/2008) has a tear-off piece of paper to reveal the code. Entering the code online was a snap.
I got the gold membership because it enhances my NetFlix subscription. The new Netflix/Xbox Gold feature lets users of both watch (most) Netflix instant streaming movies on their Xbox. The video quality has so far been excellent (even on the large screen); better than what I've seen on laptops. I'm looking forward to HD streaming but none of the 300 (so far) titles had any appeal to me.
Update: Turns out Netflix allows unlimited streaming for most of its plans. Their $8.99 plan gives one DVD at a time and unlimited streaming via PC and/or XBox. Streaming experiences have so far been excellent.

For story mode..1 player..i enjoyed the game..over all its a great zombie game...BUT..i do have a few negatives....first thing that stands out is the last boards, it seems like valve had 1 idea for the final of every chapter...hold the fort while tons of zombies attack while you wait 10 to 15 minutes to be saved by someone..that got alittle boring by the third time around. The pipe bombs and malatov cocktails i pretty much never used,it always seemed like the only time you need to use it would be when the hulk zombie (tank) comes running at you.3rd would be the short boards..they seemed so short...15 to 20 mintues..you can beat the game in a few hours...although the replay value is high...i still felt like i was getting jipped..i know the games they make these days are for on and offline play..i thought the single player lacked a bit...the game is fun and i couldnt stop playing...but there seems to be something missing..no cut scenes..no great occurences that happened that i will take with

Square is content with building the drama for the highly anticipated release of the new Final Fantasy game and in the meantime they've released an adequate RPG to hold us over until that big day...so let's take a look at Square's appetizer, shall we?
Story:
The plot is typical RPG with Rush playing the lead...and while it does start fast, it progressively slows down after act 1 but we do get better acquainted with the rest of our party...so there is a point to it...and the game really takes off once you build your characters. Later in the game it really shines with an excitement that only Square can pull off. What did you expect when the hero's little sister was kidnapped?
Gameplay:
Ah, the heart of the game. The main selling point for the battle system in The Last Remnant is its union system. Unions are made of (up to) five characters and you select their battle formation...the battle formation will determine your union's effectiveness. By utilizing a time shift (slow down time) you

If you are even procrastinating about getting this bundle don't. It is a steal at this price. Viva pinata party animals is alone worth $18. One has to remember that these games are for kids, and the younger, the better (less than 10). My 3 kids play Party Animals all the time (age 8, 6, and 4) and they love it ( i have all 3 systems, Xbox, Wii, and PS3, and party animals is one of the top games they play). They insist that I play with them (4 people can play at once). Don't worry about metacritic scores for games that will cost $6 each. When metacritic and gamerrankings scores games, they consider the cost of the games as well. For $59.99 each (Shrek and Sonic retailed for that, and $39.99 for VP:PA) they deserve the low scores they got. But for $6 (the cost of Wooper and fries and drink) each just buy it. You can break open the pack and all 3 games are individually wrapped, thus they can be stocking stuffer, or gifts for other small kids with Xbox's. There is no denying that these are

We don't own this 3 in 1 game, but we do have viva pinata party animals, and Shrek. The kids and I play party animals together all the time. A lot of fun for younger kids 11, 9, and 6. They don't play Shrek much though, so it may not be very good, but for $18 and a good cause I'll probably buy one anyway.

I'm amazed that they would put out a bundle appealing to our charitable side, yet fill it with such horrible games. The real charity here would be that you would buy it just to support the Children's Miracle Network. I suspect that they would much rather have your direct donation though.
These games get horrible scores on Metacritic. Don't be fooled by the Viva Pinata title. It's not the original which gets great reviews, it's the shoddy sequel that get's very poor scores. And the Sonic Game is one of the lower scored games on metacritic. As is the Shrek title. Let the buyer beware!

Yikes! A great game, but horribly marred by huge slowdowns thoughout every battle sequence.
It feels like SquEnix didn't even try to optimize this game for the 360. I installed this game to the HD right away, but sadly, things didn't get noticably better.
Wait for the PS3 version... I'd say this is worth $20 tops or a rent to see some mega-slowdown and texture pop in action. This thing plays, looks, and feels rushed, like some bad leaked beta.

This is one of those rare games which manages to create a strong sense of amazement and utter frustration simultaneously.
The game is vivid, exhilarating, and identifiably unique. Yes, there have been many platforming games, yet none are portrayed in a first person perspective. The controls are simple and responsive and when you manage to pull of a chain of impressive maneuvers, you're sense of satisfaction and enjoyment will be unparalleled. Playing a game from an established perspective in a new way is flat-out awesome. Some of the greatest moments are when you manage to evade groups of heavily armed cops by the skin on your neck, never once having to actually engage in real combat.
Graphically, the game is vibrant and bright, the antithesis of of the brown, desaturated, and dark games that seem to dominate the market. Framerate manages to stay playable throughout, and effects like motion blur and depth of field create the illusion of speed.
Unfortunately, the game often fails

The game play in Shaun White snowboarding is excellent. Definately the best snowboarding game created up to this point. The game is loads of fun. There are 4 different large mountains with a ton of challenges for solo and multiplayer play. There is also a huge selection of gear boards, bindings, jackets, hats, etc.. You can take the chair lift or jump out of the helicopter. You can do pretty much all the tricks in the real world in this game, including flatland tricks. The realism is unprecedented and extremely enjoyable at the same time. The game even has avalanches that you can outrun or be swallowed up by.
If you want to take a break from doing tricks the game even has races for Single player and multiple players..
All in all this a great game, i recommend it for any one that enjoys snowboarding or skateboarding games, or for people looking for a new kind of gaming experience..

I'll go ahead and say it now -- I wasn't a huge fan of the original Gears of War, and I'm not a huge fan of this one.
Graphics-wise, this game is pretty good, although the washed-out color schemes get old after a while. Don't expect much to have changed aside from the slight graphics improvements and a couple new weapons.
The weapon design, character design, level design, etc. is too generic. 'Variety' in the guns is limited, bullets move about as fast as cars (instead of bullets), grenades blow up with the force of an M-80, and your aiming reticule wobbles around, annoyingly resistant to actually targeting what you want to target.
I've played the Halo games all on maximum sensitivity, and this is something totally different. It's not the sensitivity, but response that needs retooling. Even on a 'low' setting, where the reticule crawls around, you're frustrated by the way your aim will sweep right over targets.
The music is annoying, voice acting is silly, 'cinematic' elements and

Simply one of the most complex, amazingly fun games I've ever had the pleasure of playing. There's so much to customize and keep track of it just boggles the mind.
The only downside in the Unreal Engine the game runs on. It simply cannot handle this level of graphic detail and there's lots of stuttering framerate and texture pop-in. Over all it doesn't affect the gameplay at all (except for making some of the Timed Button Presses a little harder then they should be) but it's a testament to the quality of the game that I'm more then willing to completely overlook it.
I highly reccomend finding a FAQ or getting the strategy guide however; there's a LOT going on under the surface in this game.

I bought this as an early gift for my adult daughter and her boyfriend since they won't be here for Christmas ... and they say it's fantastic! Don't ask me what HDMI means or why you need a 120 GB hard drive to play video games?? This bundle was the best package and price deal I could find and I shopped at least four other local stores, plus Walmart, Costco, Best Buy and Game Stop online. I also purchased an extra wireless controller thru Amazon (it only comes with one ... go figure) because the price was competitive and it was also available in the same color as the base unit. I would still suggest rechecking all those stores as many are having great Christmas sales with the economy like it is. Still finding it hard to believe game systems cost as much as a home PC these days!

I recently bought one of these Holiday Xbox 360 bundles and the most important thing I can tell you is that the console has worked perfectly for over a month now and stays cool the entire time I play it. Read the other reviews I have posted for the various Xbox 360's and you will see I was not in favor of buying one due to their horrible reliability. Though now I can say that after extensive use (Including several times when the console was in use for over 6 hours, playing some of the most demanding games the system has such as Gears of War and Dead Rising) the console stays cool(meaning slight warmth to the air coming out of the console) no matter how long I use it, and is much quieter then all the previous 360's I have owned. I can say without hesitation that if you or someone your buying for wants an Xbox 360 now is the time to buy. Please keep in mind this review only applies to the Holiday bundles, not the older models.
