I have been waiting a long time for Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway to come out. There have been numerous delays and the game was supposed to come out sometime last year. Well it finally came out and I picked up the game yesterday from my local Game Retailer.
The game follows up the first two Brothers in Arms games that came out earlier. You play the role of Sergeant Matt Baker who leads squads of men through Holland during Operation Market Garden in September 1944 during World War II. Operation Market Garden was the last German victory in Europe during the war.
I think the game has a great story line. The game in my opinion is very well done and acted out. It really shows what I think every soldier has to endure and go through during wartime. It is very emotional and gripping. You find out that soldiers have to make life or death decisions that can effect them the rest of their lives. This game shows not only soldiers struggling through this conflict, but also Dutch civilians

Still a great game but I miss alot of the customization of previous tiger woods games, and maybe I'm just out of practice but the swings seem to be a bit more touchy on the 360 compared to the ps2. All in all still a great game though.

It was a good game with a great story and excellet dialoge. I just wish your choices had a better impact in the overall story, and it can get a bit tedious at some points.

As Usual. MADDEN. Always not a good game. Graphics is so poorly made. The movement of the players are like mascots. I wish some companies make an NFL football game. HELLO 2K Sports! Can you make an NFL game? EA SPORTS, They do not make quality games!

I purchased a PS3 roughly 3 months ago. Played a couple of the proprietary games then realized that that I was paying for a system that was too big for my needs. Pretty much all I do is play games on it. I'm not online and I don't have HD. Plus the game selection is limited. So I sold it and picked up this low end 360. Seems like a solid system. The price is right at $200 bucks and it totally meets my needs. I won't be online downloading content, etc. The memory card that comes with the system seems like it will support plenty of saves from multiple games.
But here's the rub. It's really noisy compared to my old PS3. The fan just runs the whole time. I have the console in an open area and it never heats up. I'm wondering if the newer 360's are all like this due to some of the red ring of death issues older versions had? But it's loud. Like I have to turn up the TV a bit to hear over it loud. And when you turn off the console, you notice just how loud it was. I'd still

For what it's worth, here are some extra details on this model:
* Has two memory card slots: comes with a memory card that holds well more than enough for most users. You can upgrade later if you need to (I won't.)
* Has full 1080p HDMI output (you can buy the cable separately for $5 online) (you can verify this on xbox.com... the amazon details were wrong at the time of my purchase.)
* Has an ethernet port on the back. We plugged it in with a wire to our router, and it's extremely fast (much faster than iffy wireless.)
* It plays mp3s, wmas, etc. It has media player built in which is amazing. It organizes your music just as you have it, with directories, playlists, etc. Full-screen visuals blew me away!
* It plays downloaded (smile!) ripped movies natively, divx, xvid, etc. It automatically downloads the divx codec through "xbox live."
* You can watch online TV, HD movies, etc through the Live Marketplace service (I only looked at samples, and was impressed... but don't plan on

My husband and I bought this to play Dance Revolution and some racing games. However, we ended up making it a media center for our television.
The video quality was so good, we have decided to ditch our hd-dvd player (now obsolete.) It upscales DVD's to 1080p and looks amazing... so we decided there's no reason for buying blu-ray. We even found that it would play our collection of ripped divx and xvid movies. Just to see if it would work, we plugged in a usb stick with some movies on it, then it downloaded an update through "xbox live" (a pain to setup) and we were in business.
So next, we copied our whole collection to a 250 gig external drive and the xbox handles it well (all through usb!) So we also got rid of our Philips DVD Divx player (we were shocked to realize that it's video quality was so much worse, in comparison to the xbox.)
This thing is fun, and was a steal for the price. Oh, did I mention it's very good looking, unlike the Sony (though I'm sure it's a good machine

I am very disappointed with this madden. The graphics are subpar, there's no pregame or postgame presentation, controls are somewhat confusing, and the new madden IQ is one of the most awkward things I've ever encountered in a videogame. To actually finish one game takes about as much labor as playing a real game of football.

this product has given me hours of entertainment and social growth. With XBOX live you can communacate with others just like you. Also, if friends have XBOX live and the same game (such as halo 3) then you can play together and enjoy every bit of it!!!!Btw this is written from a 14 year olds point of view

First off, Id like to state I am a long time fan of the Soul Calibur game line. That is why it hurts me to say that this game really let me down. Let me also say, that while I did hope good things for this game, I did not have my expectations at an insane level. I thought this game would be a good continuation of the series, but I didn't think it'd be the best game ever or anything of the sort.
Let me start with the good. If you are just looking for a fighting game to play with friends, this is a good choice. The graphics have certainly made the jump to next gen in a big way. They are smooth and crisp and yet still retain the look of the other games in this series. The roster is once again large, with a diverse line up of fighters. This is a plus as it keeps the casual player from getting burned out, while letting true fans of the game continue to play as their favorites, letting them build up their ability as one or two characters.
Now for the bad, and sadly, there is a lot.

I had no idea what Mass Effect was. I bought the game on a whim with little prior knowledge as to the story or gameplay or anything of that sort. I only knew that you could made decisions and choose the flow of the story (as in most Bioware games). When I started playing, I was honestly astounded. The game, first off, is beautiful and its story is rich. I actually cared about and felt connected to the characters. The gameplay was pretty good for me...it's not an FPS, so fans of that genre will most likely be disappointed. It's an RPG and it plays like one. My only issue comes with tedious planet-roaming missions and long load times - trying to disguise them with long elevator rides does not work. Also, the ending is basically the same no matter how you play. There are a couple of major decision points but they don't actually have much influence, at least as far as this first game is concerned (of course, later in the series, we'll see the consequences of whatever decision is made).

I wish I could have been able to give this game a more honest review because from what I was able to see the graphics were heightened and the difficulty set to your personal playing level seemed like an improvement.
But the time-line went a little something like this: I started a franchise with the Lions (I know) went through the Madden test to receive my Madden IQ (how the game is fine-tuned to your playing level) and around the 4 minute mark the game FROZE after a tackle (I even intercepted the ball!).
I restarted the entire process right away after turning the game off of course. IQ test, preseason pre-game training (how you increase your players' stats - rather pain staking for so measly little upgrades), I SAVED the thing and started my first game. Froze. Second period during the play call screen. Game off for the night.
Next day: Turned on load saved game and tried again. FINISHED THE GAME. I lost. BUT I FINISHED MY FIRST GAME. Hey I'm 1/3. Saved. Second game. Froze

I had high expectations of this game since it was advertised to be the best ever. It's not any different than 2008's with the exception of different tackles and more annoying statistical boxes that won't close immediately, but will chew up precious seconds from the game clock. Madden Rewind is a nice feature to help your stats when you accidentally fumble or throw an interception. However, it's not consistent.

I have been playing Madden since the early 90's, and every year my friend state 'why do you do it to yourself'. I have bashed Madden in Amazon reviews in the past. This year, the graphics are great! But, in the end still the same fault ridden Madden.
You can't run at the higher levels. Because your linemen are clueless and make no attempt to block. I am not sure what the expect you to do there. At the same time, the computer can't run either. Expect to only see 3 yards per carry averages from both of you.
Now, I am not saying you can't win, because that is where it is the same old game. You can (along with the computer) pass all over them. So much so, the average scores (for me at least) are 65 to 21, my favor. A little boring 3 games into the season.
Now, I expect everyone to yell - 'THEN PLAY A HARDER LEVEL'. Well (not to mention my level was ALL-PRO to ALL-MADDEN on the 4 categories), the harder the level the more idiotic your line is. They just refuse to block, plain

The previous Generation 1 XBox game allowed players to rack up points by crashing. There's no more intentional crashing. This game has become much more of a racing game. The open design means that you have to use a GPS to find your way around while racing. You just have to drive around looking for street lights until you find the event you want. I don't want bother looking at a stupid GPS while I'm trying to race--it's too distracting. I've beaten the game on all levels but there was far more frustration than fun along the way. Also, finding stunt jumps during the "stunt" events is very difficult under pressure. I'm not sure why EA insists on making things more complicated when games are supposed to be fun. I'll go back to Burnout when the game designers get a clue.

This is one of the worst games I have ever played. The game is broken to the point that I could not get past the first level, the graphics suck, and it feels like the game works against you to the point that it becomes tourture. If I had the money I would buy all of the games and bury them it the desert. I spent $60 on it and it is now a drink coster. I write this review in the hopes that somebody would read this and not buy it. Iwill would not wish this game on my worst enemy.

After much careful thought and research, we decided to go wireless with our Xbox 360. What an awesome decision that was! I waited on a review to make sure that the wireless controllers all functioned properly, held their charge and could be played at all angles/distances up to 30ft from the TV and then some. To be on the safe side, I ordered one charge and play just in case one of the controllers went out during play. To date, it has not been needed. The controllers hold their charge just fine for all our gamers - and they tend to play up to 6 hours at a time. As to the quality of the controllers ... one was subjected to an English Springer Spaniel trying to use it as a chew toy and survived. Another was dropped on ceramic tile- when one player threw a fit- and showed no signs of damage. All 4 are still going strong months after use. I would definitely recommend going wireless for all families - especially if you have pets or young children running around that can trip on the cords. It's

It seems that most people I've talked too are/were very familiar with all of the old computer versions of Unreal. But my review is for the Xbox 360, which, like many of us, had never played any version up until buying this one for the 360.
This game will have you hooked. It is super fun, and the gameplay on plasmas and lcd screens is amazing. There are LOTS of things to do, including the main campaign, and random fun instant action levels.
NOTE: The best part about this game is that the initial campaign is basically just a training mode to get you online (great idea!). The game is designed for online play. So, by just going through the campaign and having fun, you are now ready to hook up Xbox live and you'll fit right in.
The 1up.com review of a "C" grade is absurd, and I've read it. If only because every reviewer is comparing it to all the other releases dating back years and years. As a new player to this great xbox 360 game, I was very impressed.
IMO, this beats Halo 3 in a heartbeat.

Nothing is as frustrating as having to start your franchise over in Madden. Last yr i played it on a 360. This year was on my ps3. It freezes every time i manually train anyone. And only every now and then during games, loading, saving, instant replays, basically anytime i do something. Get it on PS2, dosnt freeze as much at least for me.
