Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots: PlayStation 3
MGS4 is, by itself, reason enough to get a PS3. The game is truly amazing. The whole game itself is 1080p, not just a few scenes like some other games that claim to be 1080p, so it looks incredible on an HDTV. I don't have an XBOX so I can't say if any of the platform exclusive titles are as good or not, but it would have to be one heck of a game to beat MGS4. I've played all the other games in the series and I've read the reviewers fussing about the long cut scenes and some of them are very long (I think it was between acts 2 and 3, counting the ending of one part and the mission briefing of the next part, the cut scene was nearly 50 minutes long). You can skip them, but you miss out on a big part of the story and the story is the main reason for playing MGS4. MGS has never been a run-and-gun type game. It actually requires you to have patience, refrain from shooting any thing that moves, be stealthy and quiet, so it doesn't appeal to a lot of gamers, but if you liked the other

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots: PlayStation 3
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is a marvelous blend of video game and cinematic experience!! I have only played Sons of Liberty before and found it somewhat incomplete and limited in detail. But this game has combined cutting edge graphics, wonderful gameplay, endless weaponry options and a mesmorizing storyline beautifully complimented by one of the most moving and powerful musical scores ever in a videogame bar none!! This game not only captures the imagination but the flawless storyline and ending lift the human spirit through the rollercoaster of tragedy and triumph.

I purchased the 80GB Playstation 3 Metal Gear Solid Package over the Motorstorm package and I have been absolutely blown away!! Marvelous Game!! Well Done!!

Grand Theft Auto IV: PlayStation 3
Well, I was excited for GTA4 to come out and couldn't wait to play it. But as the game progressed I have to say I actually got bored. The storyline didn't grab me as much as other GTA's. The graphics were nice, and it was a fun at first just exploring, but I guess I miss the variety of San Andreas with its forests, deserts, mountains, small villages and big cities. To be totally honest I actually stopped playing GTA4 and went on to other games. It's now sitting on my shelf collecting dust for now. Maybe in the future I will play it again, but for now I got other games to play.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots: PlayStation 3
This title is not in the same league as the Halo/Gears of War/Call of Duty 4 crowd of games; I'm not saying that it is better than those, it's just apples and oranges to me. Others have detailed this games' pros and cons much more in depth than I have time for. So I'll do my best to be concise and add another 5-star to this gem's avg rating.

Story= It's a Metal Gear Game: an over-the-top convoluted and far-fetched plot mixed with numerous characters (most of which are one-dimensional except for Snake himself, the anti-hero of course) against a backdrop of a dystopian war-economy future.

Gameplay= Stealth-action mechanics. No Rambo-style here. Just peeking around walls, crawling through grass, followed by the occasional bullet to the head by a silenced sniper rifle or maybe firing a SAM to an overhead attack helicopter. There is less actual game-playing than game-experience b.c of the ratio of play:cut-scene length.

Presentation= Playing this in our home theater on a 150" projector screen

Grand Theft Auto IV: PlayStation 3
Considering the vast changes and improvements this series has seen, from the overhead Micro Machines headache of the first two, to the improvement of GTA3 and Vice City, and then the huge environment of San Andreas, I was expecting great things with this latest release...but was let down. This is by no means a total disappointment but it does have some serious flaws that make me question all the hype around it. Granted, a Grand Theft Auto game arrives with considerable interest and enthusiasm from the video game world but here the ends don't seem to justify the means.

For starters just firing up the game and playing was a demanding experience; a two minute load screen and a whole new set of controls are an unpleasant way to start. I was really hoping the new systems wouldn't require load screens, or at least ones this long, but they're still here. The control scheme was also completely reworked, and though some players may enjoy this change, it was still frustrating to not be able to just

Final Fantasy IV - Nintendo DS
Hardcore RPG gamers of the old school variety will know what I'm talking about. When this game was originally released in the U.S. as "Final Fantasy 2" on the Super Nintendo; this genre barely existed stateside. But those of us that picked it up had our tastes in video games -if not in all entertainment- permanently changed after playing FF4. There were two kinds of people I showed this to back in the day: people who couldn't even comprehend a game where instead of controlling a character directly you issued them orders and watched them carry them out, and people who became instant hardcore RPG fanatics. Type B: this one's for you.

FF for the NES was a cute little adventure where you handpicked your party out of a small array of cookie-cutter archetypes and set about hunting treasure and fighting monsters and such. It was a start. That and "Dragon Quest" were the only games in town at that time. Then, along with the SNES came this mindblower. Having been skipped over by two Japanese

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots: PlayStation 3
Before anything I shall state I'm a hardcore fps gamer. So as you might expect I'm into fast paced games like COD4, RFoM, and Gears of War (yes, I know that is a 360 game and not quite FPS but you get the idea). Therefore, I had my doubts with respect to this game as it is stated as a tactical spy game. As a matter of fact the only reason I got it was because it was a gift LOL. Couldn't be more wrong, the game is absolute gold. And the long cutscenes a lot of people complain about are actually very welcomed by me. They give me plenty of time to rest from the constant stress that causes me to try to sneak out behind enemies. An additional advantage of the long cutscenes is that for a first-timer in the Metal Gear series, this game explains everything so I actually feel lost regardless of its "complex" story. Moreover, the game allows you to play however you like, you might as well blast thru it and kill everything in sight or sneak out and avoid detection at all costs.

Grand Theft Auto IV: PlayStation 3
I'm not a huge GTA fan and never will be but that didn't stop me from playing Rockstar's latest entry which got perfect 10's from online sites. However after about 30 minutes into it I was completely bored and detached. Yes, there are some new innovations like dating girls, etc. but as a game it didn't make the experience any more compelling than San Andreas. Graphics are of course better but it doesn't change the fact that there is low replay value and a really gullible/lame protagonist. Why anyone would want to run around carjacking and shooting people with this awful character is beyond me. Save yourself the trouble and buy a better game.

I tried this transmitter everywhere and I constantly have to move it around to try and stop the static, no matter where I plug it in on the boat or car, the quality of sound is horrible even after going through each channel...... very frusterating not worth the money :-(

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots: PlayStation 3
Ok I have to admit, I bought the PS3 simply for this and to be able to play every other MGS game (use an MSX emulator for the originals, its cheaper). And I love the series, even this game. But I seriously cannot deny the truth anymore, there is not enough gameplay in this game!

Really, Acts 1 & 2 have the motherload and after that you're playing connect the cutscenes. The game should have been a bit more action oriented, while playing Act 2 I was getting so pumped up because I knew the game was going to be just as in depth and involving as MGS3, but it didn't turn out that way.

Just throwing that out, I like the entire series, but this game is a total tease.

Logitech Logitech USB Headset for Playstation 2
I'm sick and tired of people giving bad reviews on this headset.I own a PS3 and I've played COD4 for about 12 days. Many people have horrible mics that echo and make what I call "the devil screech." Bluetooth mics create that noice when they pick up background noice. I previously owned a blutooth not knowing about this one. The first problem was it echoed horribly, where as the this product has no echo what so ever. Also charging a blutooth can be a pain and turning it on and off for some can be trouble. When using this product it requires no charging and it is always paired and it is always on. The noise cancelation on this product is great. I usually always have a loud tv on in my house and my friends can't hear it any more since I've switched to the Logitech USB. Also the cord is very long so you don't have to play close to your tv if you don't want to. In short this headset is the most reliable product on the market today for its inexpensive price.

Soul Calibur IV: PlayStation 3
Overall I'm quite disspointed with this game.

Let's break it down though.

Graphics 5/5: As far my opinion goes, this is the most graphically superior fighting game there is at the moment, the scenes are beautifully rendered and the characters are rich in detail.

Controls 5/5: The controls never change and no exceptions here, the game is easy and can be jumped right into.

Character Creation 1/5: What a HUGE step back here...SC:III had so many innovative things here a "profession" made it feel unique and special. Now it's just "What character do you want to rip off?!" Which is extremely lame and lazy in my opinion. The different combos of clothings/faces are alright not as extravagant was SC:III was.

New Features 2/5: The "Tower" is quite bland and more like just a scenario mode nothing overly special about it.
The online mode I will admit I haven't tried yet but...I imagine it's no different then having someone sitting aside of you playing. I most certainly miss the strategy mode as

WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2006 - PlayStation 2
WWE Smackdown VS Raw 2006
Many people consider this to be one of the better games in the Smackdown Series. I however just do not see it. The game seems to move in slow motion. Season mode is always the same unless you pick a different brand, which create only two different Season Modes. The new submission systems, GM Mode, and the graphics seem to be the only good things in this game. The game can be fun for a while; this is just not a great game.

Graphics- 8/10
For the time, these graphics were very solid. Most of the wrestlers look exactly like themselves. Most move animations, while recycled from previous games, are well done. There are very few graphical glitches. I have had my character suddenly appear on the outside of the ring. Overall though, there aren't many problems.

One major problem I had was the winning animation. Each time you win a title, you will get a scene with your wrestler crying on the ground ala Chris Benoit at WrestleMania XX. This would be okay, but it feels very

Playstation 3 Fighting Stick 3 - Soul Calibur Limited Edition
I own both sticks and each are made as a limited edition for their respective games. Both sticks have a beautifully design faceplate representing each game. Both sticks are made by HORI, a well known maker of peripherals from Japan, and have that HORI quality throughout. The typical 8 way clicking lollipop joystick and the durable convex buttons are featured and is typical of HORI parts. This is where the similarities end.

Availability: The Tekken 5 stick is not in production any longer but you can find many on auction at the typical auction websites. SCIV stick obviously is brand new and features SCIV artwork on the face.

SIZE: The SCIV stick is about 1/2 the size and girth of the Tekken 5 stick. Your hands will not completely rest on SCIV stick as it would on the massive Tekken 5 stick. Also it is important to note that the Tekken 5 stick is similar in size as HORI's arcade pro series sticks. SCIV stick is similar to the smaller namco fighting stick for PS1 and the DEAD OR ALIVE

Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore with Microphone: PlayStation 3
I really enjoyed this game and it was fairly simple and straightforward. The only drawback is that if you want additional songs you must have additional services. Only 30 or so songs are included. But, you don't have to have a good voice to do well, just sing on the right pitch. You can also change your character, clothes, etc. I think all ages would enjoy this game if the right songs were downloaded. The songs included are a mix between recent hits and old favorites.

Playstation 3 Fighting Stick 3 - Soul Calibur Limited Edition
I got this joystick so that I can practice my skills on Soul Calibur 4. When I received it in the mail from Amazon, I was surprise of the quality of it. It seems to be just like a real arcade stick. It is a very good weight, metal base and the design of SC4 is nicely done on the controller, something you will see in a real arcade.

Let get to the facts.

- It is wired. I had a problem with this, but the cord is very long, which was necessary for my setup in my basement. I have my PS3 on a top shelf to keep it away from the kids, yet the cord is long enough for me to sit back on my futon and play.

- It is PS1 PS2 compatible. I believe this was done with a firmware update, but I had no problems playing Street Fighter Alpha Anthologies.

- It is accurate. I played Tekken 5 DR on it and everything works great. I practiced Heihachi's move set and now I realized how people are able to do the combos that they do online, it is because of having such a joystick. The real test was playing
