The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return: Nintendo Wii
I've played all four of the arcade versions of this game all the way to the end. The fact that you get two complete games makes it a good value for me.

House of the Dead 2 has two modes to play, one of which you can collect bonus items to take with you on your journey. The more you play the more things you unlock, the most important to me is earning more credits. If you play with two players, you share credits. My goal was to earn the free play status so I can finish the game. I have not unlocked everything in House of the Dead 3 and frankly, not sure how to do it. I've played the game to the end on the difficult setting and nothing new appeared.

You can play the game without a gun apparatus but you will be holding the remote at an odd position. I did purchase a gun to use but it did not function well enough for me to succeed.
There are easy to difficult setting to choose from but in my opinion there is not much difference between the difficulty levels.

It's a great game but it is not

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World: Nintendo Wii
Although for the most part i agree that this is for those who enjoyed the original, i would disagree that it did its part for fan service. All of the original cast make a long, playable appearance, but Namco decided not to get back most of the original voice cast. Heather Hogan, Collette, remains, but other than that, there's almost no one. These voice actors became more to us than voices; They became the characters themselves. Without these, the characters take some getting used to. Other than that, the game is pretty fun. The point and click map makes exploring impossible, which is a downer, but the nostalgic feeling of many of the cities is amazing. The game could have been much more, and with all the delays on the release date, it should have been. It turns out to be a good but not exceptional rpg for the wii, but the small elements missing culminate into a large empty hole that Namco had a hard time filling, even with all the great character development of their new characters. But,

So far so good. Bough this case because of the price. Overall worth money to buy it. Silicone case works very well and looks very nice. It has acess to all buttons. Would recommend to everyone who is looking for a cheap but good silicone case.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World: Nintendo Wii
Pros:

+Good looking game
+Fun battle system
+Returning characters who do more than simply make an appearance
+For the most part, good voice acting

Cons:

-Battling can be a button mashing affair
-A slow story to start
-Too linear
-If you haven't played the first game the plot becomes harder to understand throughout and it is just harder to appreciate

When Tales of Symphonia debuted on the Gamecube, it became an unprecedented cult classic. Since then there have been several Tales games to come about, but none have hit the spark Tales of Symphonia did on the Gamecube. Fans of Tales of Symphonia will probably come to Dawn of the New World with open arms. Newcomers, however, might do best to play the original first.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World takes place two years after the original. The story itself can seem a bit complicated at times. Mostly because there are a lot of things thrown in from the first game. In terms of being a sequel it's not bad in the sense that it

Wii Music: Nintendo Wii
A big mistake being made in nearly every review is people likening Wii Music to Guitar Hero. It's like comparing Mario to Pinball.

Music games generally fit into three categories:

- Rhythm (you copy exactly what you see on the screen)
examples: Simon Says, Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution

- Free Form (emphasis is on music rather than gameplay)
examples: Electroplankton, Traxxpad, Fluid

- Hybrid (a combination between a non-music genre, such as an RPG, and a music game)
exmaples : Rez, Ragnarawk

It's hard to pin Wii Music down, but it best fits into the Free Form category. The comparisons to Guitar Hero are silly, as Wii Music is not a "simon says" type game. When reviewers compare the two, they're just stating their preference for one genre over another, which is rather useless.

One example of people's silliness comparing the two are the complaints about the track list. Track lists are important to Rhythm games, not so much Free Form games.

Much like beginner piano lessons

Pok?mon Ranger: Shadows of Almia: Nintendo DS
I am currently playing Pokemon Ranger: shadows of almia, and it is so different from the first. The missions which in the first lacked somewhat, are a lot harder. You also have Quests, which are things you are asked to do by villagers. When you first start out in the game you are a student at a Ranger school, where you learn how to play the game. After graduating you are sent to your home in chicole town. But you are a ranger in Veil town, which is nextdoor. So home is always close by. Another new feature is the fact you can have more then one pokemon partner. You get these by doing Quests. When you complete quests you get new stuff for your ranger styler. To get higher rank is alot harder as well, but that makes the game more fun. You have new bad guys in the game, and are very challenging. The fun ascpet of the first game is still there along with the awesome character artowrk and personalities. I highly recomend this game to any poke fan!

Nintendo DS Lite - Coral Pink
My daughter was given a pink Nintendo DS Lite as a gift and she absolutley loved it until it stopped turning on. I called the Nintendo customer service line and we established that the problem is not with the charger or the battery so I would need to send it in for repair. Since the warranty expired a few months ago it will cost me 82.50 to repair the unit which only cost 130.00 in the first place.

80811 Korg DS-10 Synthesizer - Nintendo DS
Just an excellent way to get some great sounding electronic music going. Agree completely with the review that calls this a pocket-sized Reason. While not as comprehensive as Reason, the intuitive interface, excellent sound design possibilities, and ease of use make this great musical fun.

Really a well designed program, and the sound either through headphones or connecting from 1/8" jack out of the DS to a decent amp is fantastic. I've got a home studio with lots of soft synths, and this rivals many of them in terms of sound quality.

A great way to learn basic synthesis too, you can apply the knowledge learned in the synth and sequencer of the DS-10 to many others.

Highly musical, loads of fun. Highly recommend, it's a steal for the price.

Igor: Nintendo Wii
I'll make this one short. If you're looking for a multi-player game with familiar characters, multiple levels, and kid friendly play, you can do better than this one. In short, it plays like many of the Nicktoon Games with characters matched to a skill/weapon gathering and moving to new levels. In this case, you gather gears and white roses as Igor and his 3 friends travel throughout castle scenes. The graphics aren't as clean as the Nick games like "Volcano Island" or "Globs of Doom." It almost appears chunky at times and feels like a cheap knockoff. There are also little guys/children following you around singing "la la la" to a tune over and OVER again. It's enough to make you want to hurt them after a bit! :-) There's not much to it, and we prefer other games. I just don't understand why they can't come up with a good movie game!! If your family loves Igor, it might be a good choice for you. But other than that, it's average at best.

James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace: Nintendo Wii
First I'd like to say that if you're looking for a good first person shooter game, this one is one of the best I've played on the Wii; go ahead and get this one. If you're a fan of Goldeneye or Perfect Dark, and thinking this will be equal to those games as far as fun factor and multi-player variety goes, you will be disappointed, and read further as to why.

The Single player part of Goldeneye was so much fun! I'd play some of the levels again and again, just because you could complete them in so many different ways. Also, to unlock any of the cheats, you had to complete levels in certain times, which made me eagerly retry levels over and over. Perfect Dark was the same way, but the levels weren't nearly as fun. As far as I can tell, this game doesn't have anything like that, and I wouldn't really want to play the levels over and over anyway.

I bought a Nintendo 64 because of Goldeneye. What really sold me when playing it in the store was the realism they were able to accomplish.

80811 Korg DS-10 Synthesizer - Nintendo DS
Wow. I was expecting this to be a lot simpler than it turns out to be. It's almost like a tiny pocket-sized version of Propellerhead's Reason software. Obviously it's very limited by the DS hardware, but if you like messing around with music and music software then you can have hours of fun with this.

You get two monophonic synths with their own sequencer tracks for note/gate/pan/volume, plus a couple more tracks that can be assigned to modulate a long list of parameters and settings. The synths are simple but have most of the things you need to replicate classic analog synth patches, and there are a few relatively novel routing options and modulation sources. Synth patches can be saved and loaded separately from whole compositions.

You also get four "drum" voices which turn out to be four more instances of the same basic synth, though with a few less options and much simpler pattern programming. So in total you get as many as six sounds happening at once, plus a very basic global

Nintendo DS Lite - Coral Pink
I have 4 small grandsons and purchased this for me!!! I am absolutely
hooked!! I purchased the Breast Cancer Awareness one and love it. It does not collect any fingerprints and the screens are easy for me to see and the buttons are perfect in size.
I play the puzzle games and one of my favorites is the Million Heir. I saw the TV commercial and bought the player and game because of it. I also have the Jewel Quest games and 7 Wonders and Solitaire Overload.
I fully recommend this game player and the cartridges that you choose. A great product for all ages!!!!

Disney Fairies: TinkerBell: Nintendo DS
My 8 year old daughter is a big Disney Never Fairy fan. She has read all the books and loved the new Tinkerbell movie. I was excited to see this game. She has never enjoyed playing games, since she outgrew her Leapster. Once she opened the game and began playing it, it was difficult to get her to stop. It is like the magic of the fairy world has come alive for her.

There is a lot of reading on about a 3rd grade level involved with this game. There is also a certain amount of dexterity required to accomplish some of the game features.

I have also played the game, and as an adult, I enjoy it too!

I recommend this game to Disney Never Fairy fans!

All Star Cheer Squad: Nintendo Wii
This game is not fun without a wireless nunchuck. It's not easy or fun to do the moves if you can't extend your arms to look like the character on the screen. The nunchuck wire slaps you in the face and occasionally gets stuck behind your head. If you had a cheerleader ponytail it would be mangled. I wish I would have bought the Wee cheer instead.

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows: Nintendo Wii
The last few years have seen a big mess of Spider-man.Films, games based on films...And that killed the games based on the comics. While this game takes more of a comic inspired approach, they go their own way with the story and some other details. Ill let you know what I thought they ddi right, and what they completely burned to the ground.

First off, Wii owners did NOT get a bad port of a PS2 version for once. You get just about everything that the Xbox360/PS3 get, minus the obviously superior graphics.Lets start there-The graphics are not bad.Not the best Ive seen on a Wii game, but it has a much better character model then Spider-Man 3, pretty smooth animations, and a not entirely but still kinda sucky camera. It can slow down a lot in high number fights, but for the most part its smooth.

Controls on a Wii game can make but usually break it.Besides one problem that will pop up frequently, the controls work and feel pretty natural after the small learning curve. With experimentation you

Carnival Games: Mini Golf: Nintendo Wii
I too have and enjoy the original Carnival game so when I saw this I knew I had to try it. The graphics are pretty good, though there are some courses that are a bit dark and hard to see what's going on (Dinosaur theme). The Easy courses are easy but the Hard courses are REALLY HARD (at least for me!). I have to respectfully disagree with Brandon though, I am a 42 year old woman and the only one in the house who likes Wii games (hubby is all into PS3 and daughter is 15, and well, being that age, hates everything) so I play alone. It is FUN to challenge myself. Also, you have the option of playing with the Carnie guy if you want a little competition. The game makes you think about the best angles and the outcome of your shot so it's not just a stupid mindless game. I have to be careful about what time of day I start to play because if it is close to dinner time and I'm in the middle of trying to master a difficult course, ain't no one eating dinner that night unless they call delivery!

SpongeBob SquarePants featuring Nicktoons: Globs of Doom: Nintendo Wii
Our boys are 5 and 6, so this game was a "gotta try" that ended up being a "gotta have." If you played the Nicktoons Volcano Island, you'll notice some obvious similarities. In short, as you advance to each level a Nick hero is paired up with a Nick villian. It's fun because the hero and villian aren't in the same show. The boys got a kick out of seeing them together. Each character has his/her own special weapon geared to his/her personality. You advance through different stages battling the globs in different settings based on your kiddo's favorite shows. Bikini Bottom is one of our favorite levels. The thing I don't understand is before each level you have to play a short mini-game where the characters slide down the same course collecting coins and avoiding the obstacles. It seems like a filler, although you can upgrade your powers and weapons with the coins at the lab. There is no way to avoid this part, and it's repetitive. The boys think it's okay, although they have started to ask

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia: Nintendo DS
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia is a really good game. Not great like some of its predecessors, but very, very good.

If you haven't played a Castlevania game before, the basic premise of the game is that every once in a while Dracula comes back from destruction in an effort to enslave the souls of man into dark servitude. The player explores Dracula's castle, gains levels, finds lots of loot, learns spells, and generally trashes Dracula's well thought out plans. Much like the Metroid series, backtracking to old regions is an important aspect of the game as you gain new abilities that increase you're character's mobility and lethality.

This iteration of Castlevania has done away with some sacred cows of the Castlevania legend. You don't play a Belmont, you don't use a whip, and you aren't Alucard (Dracula's half-human son, for the uninitiated). For the first half of the game you don't even spend any time in Dracula's castle. You will explore light houses, forests, ocean reefs, and

Madden NFL 09 All-Play: Nintendo Wii
Well, I have been a Madden fan since not so long ago. I have not played them all, but I can tell you I have played quite some of them and this is the best one so far.

For a beginner, it is VERY user-friendly. No complicated controls on the in-game screen while choosing plays, etc...

For more advanced players, making your own plays, strategies, etc... is very comfortable and much more simple than in previous Maddens.

The 5 on 5 game is great for learning and getting used to the controls. Also great for beginners to start learning basic rules and simple plays.

Bottom line, Best Madden I have ever played! I really recommend it if you really like Football. Cheers!

Zenses: Ocean: Nintendo DS
I love puzzle games - Tetris, Planet Puzzle League, Meteos, you name it. I also LOVE tropical settings, so when I saw these Zenses games I was pretty excited! They're even more fun than I had hoped for. The backgrounds are beautiful: for this game, Ocean, you'll see lots of water, sand, and seashells. Music is pretty and unobtrusive. Usually I play games with the sound turned off while listening to TV shows, but this music is very ambient and relaxing. You even get happy little chimes when you lose, it softens the blow!

Zenses: Ocean includes 6 different games. Zen Stones is a matching game, very similar to one of the casino minigames in Super Mario DS. Pearl Diver requires you to draw lines from one matching pearl to another in order to get them to disappear. Turtle Turn asks you to change the shell colors to make them match the pattern on the top screen. Hot Spot asks you to assemble floating crustacean parts to make a fancy creature to match the one on the top screen. Shell
