I have to admit I was quite disapointed with this release. I had been deciding between purchasing this or Left 4 Dead and ultimately went with Left 4 Dead. I decided to rent this title the other night to see if I made the correct decision. Good thing I did.
I've always been a big fan of the Call of Duty series but this one was no where near the bar set by Call of Duty 4. First of all, I beat the campaign in around 3-4 hours and was quite confused when the credits started to roll. There was no significant ending to the American campaign whatsoever.
Overall, the levels are far too linear. However, sometimes you do get to choose between two or so paths to your objective. One very frustrating thing I found was getting over obstacles. For example, in Call of Duty 4 virtually all obstacles could be climbed over/up on but in this one you find yourself constantly getting stuck behind things as only a very very small percentage of obstacles can be climbed so in many cases you have no idea

I got the Nyko Frontman for the same reason you're looking at it, most likely - it's cheaper than the official RedOctane guitars. I'm usually wary of third party controllers, as they're usually lacking in quality, but I took a chance with this one and I'm glad I did. It works just as well as the official guitars, though it feels a bit different, as the buttons are more rounded. That's not a bad thing, either. I've found that some people actually prefer it.
One downside I can think of might not even apply to most people, but in my case, I travel with my guitars a lot. With the official guitar, you can remove the neck and break them into two pieces, but you can't do that with this one. I usually carry them around in a duffel bag, so since I can't break this one apart, the only way to get it to fit is to have the neck sticking out of the bag. It wasn't a deal-breaker for me, though. You also can't use the colorful faceplates that RedOctane makes, as their shape is completely different. It

This is the poorest experience I've had playing the Need for Speed series. It would be better called Need for Sleep, because I almost fell asleep before finishing the second race.
The graphics are lame and the cars look like kindergarden drawings. Other wrong turn is that you have only one set of controls.
I really don't know what happened here, but I'm thankful that I can return it. Otherwise I'd feel ripped off.
This game is a mayor step back for the franchise.

This game isn't any fun at all. Comparing it to guitar hero is a joke, in these tough economic times it can be tempting to just up and get the cheaper alternative from time to time, but do yourself a favor and not do that here.
Bottom line: this game blows.

If you like fun war games and are tired of fighting the Germans all the time this game is great. I think most people forget there was just as much if not more fighting in the Pacific. Do not listen to all those game geeks the graphics are great for PS2. The best part is it is accurate in its history. It is also rated Teen which means kids can play it not just big kids if you know what I mean. I would like to see the game companies allow parents to turn the language off on some of these Mature games. This is a great Christmas gift to get kids who are 10 and above. Have fun.

I'm using this with Rockband 2 and it's so close to being great. The guitar is small-ish, about the same size a the official Rockband guitar.
Here's a quick summary:
PRO's:
* No setup: Just plug in the USB receiver, turn on the guitar and they automatically link.
* The USB receiver in in the shape of the axe blade. How cool is that?
* The buttons (all of them!) are responsive and have a nice feel. They look good too.
* Overall build is solid. Very well made for the price. The guitar screams QUALITY! None of its parts, down to the USB receiver, look or feel cheap.
* I actually play better and have more fun.
CON's:
* The neck is too small for adult's hand, smaller than Rockand 2 guitar's neck. I don't have big hands and the guitar's neck still feels tiny.
========
I also own RB 1, RB2 and Nyko guitars. The Gene Simmons Axe is hands down THE COOLEST and is the one I'm most comfortable playing with right now. My wish is they would make a full size version for adult's hand. I would definitely

I purchaced this bundle for my 7yr old nephew and he absolutely loves it; a no brainer because what kid wouldn't love a PS2!? Throwing in Lego Batman and a Justice League DVD only sweetens the deal and gives the kid a good family game and movie right out of the box. If you're looking to introduce your young one to videogaming but don't think they're ready for(or don't want to pay for) one of the current generation consoles, than I would definately recommend this PS2 bundle!

We purchased this game for my Son. This has to be the best game for kids out there. Many of the games out have bad language and violence. This game is perfect and has no foul langauge whatsoever. The graphics are great and there are many exciting worlds to navigate. This game kept my Son and Daughter interested for many many hours. Even after you beat the game there are new options unlocked that make it even funner to play all over again. I even liked playing this game and I am 29. I highly recommend this for your kids, you will not regret it. I give it five stars but would give it ten if I could.

This headset comes bundled with SOCOM: Confrontation, and it is everything that game is not. The headset is simple, stable, it sounds great, fits well, lasts a LONG time on batteries, works seamlessly with the PS3, and can take some punishment. (I accidentally dropped it about six feet onto a hardwood floor. Didn't miss a beat.)
When I first started using it, other players began saying things like: "What headset are you using? You sound good as h**l!" It came in handy when playing LittleBigPlanet, it works in the Home beta, and future PS3 titles will benefit tremendously from it. SOCOM or not, this is a great device.

We have had both Rock Band 1 and Rock Band 2 since their release dates, and I waited for a month of continuous gameplay so that I could make sure that I addressed some of the differences accurately.
Gameplay:
The graphics have never been the high point of this game, and they are slightly improved, still artsy-cartoony and PS2-looking, but still cleverly done (e.g., they are not that crisp HD cartooniness of "Buzz!" but they'll do). Gameplay is much the same as Rock Band 1, with the MAJOR exception that you can start a tour yourself and your character can play any instrument (previously, your character was tied to one instrument and if you played alone, you generally had to play 2 instruments to go "on tour"). Harmonix added in online challenges ("battles") that can be played weekly and are available for free over the Playstation Network. The extra downloadable songs are generally inexpensive and bring a massive diversity of artists (from Underoath to Devo to Paramore, and by now, RB

This review will be mostly a comparison with the rock band 1 set, so I'll assume most people reading this are familiar with the game and/or the RB1 set. I'll also mention briefly the cymbal expansion and how it differs from the original play style. To start off, though, I'll list some of the features of this new set.
+Wireless
+Sound dampening pads
+Velocity sensitive (the harder you hit, the louder the sound)
+Metal-reinforced pedal
+Cymbal expansion ports
The set out of the box is just as simple as the first one to set up, and even if you have not put one together before, it is fairly self-explanatory. Square peg goes in the square hole, as it were. It took me about 5 minutes to socket the pieces and get it to the appropriate height I wanted. My overall impressions of the set are that although it is made with more plastic than aluminum this time around, the frame itself seems sturdier, with less wobble because the base and sides are a bit wider. Three AA batteries are needed, so you

I love the FPS genre. I really do. I have bought and enjoyed every FPS since Doom, and have praised games like Goldeneye and Halo 1. I have enjoyed Halo 2 and 3 with my friends, since you can play split-screen online multiplayer. It's great fun to sit in the same room with one another and play on a projector screen, and we were all hoping for the latest installment of COD to have this feature.
We purchased COD:WAW the day it came out, and brought it home to find that the only playing we'd be doing on the same screen would be cooperative. A HUUUUGE letdown. This makes the game into a bunch of people running around by themselves totally oblivious to one another. This is compounded by the fact that there is NO peripheral vision--a problem Halo 2 had--fixed in Halo 3. Basically, my friends and I laugh out loud when we here the game announcer state at the beginning of team deathmatch games, "No one fights alone!"
I am a level 49 on COD:WAW, so I can say from experience that the spawns

OK, so my 7-year-old does not have the latest, greatest PC -- but it has run every game we bought him, until this one! The alleged minimum requirements, I believe, are 1.7 Gig P4 (he has a Celeron, but it's 3 Gig), 512 MB RAM (he's got 4 times that), and a GeForce 6600 card with 128 MB onboard (he's got an 8400 with 512 MB). Well, this game took over an hour to install, and it runs like a long-dead dog. He cried pathetically until we finally gave in and bought the XBox version. And I hated giving money to Activision to buy this game twice, when it's such a hog that it should have never been released in the first place. Don't waste time and money on the PC version, unless your PC is super-powered. And even if you can run it, note that the game requires over 8 Gigabytes of space, just to install it! The game itself is over 6 Gig -- about 10 TIMES the space required by the original Madagascar PC game, which by the way is practically identical anyway. The Help and Readme tips are useless,

Be warned!!!! Do not buy this game!
First of all despite the title you are not really playing sports, you are only "playing" aspects of a sport. For example in basketball you are shooting free throws against a countdown clock (no dribbling,no opponent), in soccer you are playing goalie while the computer avatar kicks shots at you, or in tennis you are just trying to serve aces. There is no actual you vs a team competition like in Wii sports etc. Second the controls are awful - general you are basically just using the "A" button for clicks and that's it. It's amazing how many games just do not take advantage of all the motion capability of the Wiimote. Third the user interface of the game is horrid - I can go on and on but I will leave it at that. If I could give this game a 1/4 star rating I would! Utterly boring and not worth even $5.00. So much for buying a game before others review it.

PlayStation 3 Blu Wave Remote
Great price for a remote for the PS3 but I do not like the problem with my game controllers not being first all the time. When I power up the system the remote takes over slot 1 when I have the USB adapter inserted. I bought this so I could use a Universal Remote with the PS3 since originally it is Blutooth controlled. I recommend this product for you but if someone wants to buy mine let me know.

Since this game was made by the same guys who did call of duty 3 on the wii, i was a little skeptical but overall this game is great. Campaign mode is fun but it is very generic. Missions are interesting and overall difficult and it makes you focus to get it done, but it lacks a lot of intense excitement. Wifi online play on the other hand is chock full of excitement. The best thing is, you can play over and over again and still have fun, all for free if you have a wifi connection. The console does very good at handling it, even on wifi it doesnt really lag much. Although the online multiplayer only allows up to 8 players and limited modes of gameplay, i have not had the need for any more than that. Sound is great and graphics are amazing for the wii, even on my rather old TV I can still see clearly.
Overall its a great game and its even better with wifi multiplayer. I would definitely pass up the xbox 360 or PS3 versions for this one
Positives:
1) Good graphics (amazing for the wii)

These people writing in saying this game is great must work for the company. Listen to all the critics, they are spot on. The frame rate is
so bad at times it's almost unplayable. The graphics look like we went
back to pS1. What were they thinking? Need for speed Most Wanted was
a great game, this was a complete rip-off. Thanks EA games for stealing
my $60 bucks!!!!!

I have to agree with the other reviewer....this game is really really bad.
Thought about tossing it in the trash but I guess I will give it to the neighbor kids who will probably throw it in the trash within minutes. Don't get stung with this game.

Warning! This guitar is not compatible with Rock Band 2. When Frontman is attached to PS3 and Rock Band 2 disc is inserted, the PS3 freaks out and continues to receive "enter" commands from the guitar. The guitar works great with Rock Band 1, however.
