Canon Powershot 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera
Am I the only one that noticed the picture quality looks overexposed with little detail nor proper color levels. I'd try and find a S5IS which is a superior camera in regards to picture quality. I think the advantages of the "super zoom" are also part of the downfall. Looking through a tunnel, and you'll get pictures that reflect this aspect.

Take your time and look at the picture samples taken from the S5IS versus the XS10IS - base your decision on your taste, not what you read.

Canon PowerShot SD880 IS 10-Megapixel Digital Camera - Gold
This camera comes packed with great features and does a decent job in low light. The wide angle lens allows you to get up close to get everyone in a picture which comes in handy for close up shots. The in house red eye reduction software is a pleasure to work with and saves me time when I am touching up photo's. This camera shoots great out door shots and does very well indoors as well, but be aware it does have some issues with a pretty bright flash which can lead to lighting up dust spots in the air which can cause problems. My older 800 series camera was really bad, Canon seems like they improved this but it is still an issue. What they need is a flash intensity setting, which would help. Over all the camera takes great pictures and it takes them fast, so if you have little kids you won't loose those shots when they decide to move. :) I would have given it a 5 if it wasn't for the occasional shot muffed up by the dust orbs....

Canon PowerShot SD880 IS 10-Megapixel Digital Camera - Gold
I bought this for my wife as a B'day present to replace her tiny and always carried SD450 (5MB, no IS and 3 years old). The SD880 is a much better camera, costs less than the SD450 did in 2005 and is still tiny (fits in the same case). The improvements are many: ultra-sharp 28mm wide-angle lens with 4X zoom, 3" bright and clear LCD, both optical image stabilization (IS) and a new low-noise (for it's size) 10MP sensor.

A few reviews here report crappy images and/or high noise levels but those are not my findings, at least not relative to other point and shoot cameras. I tested the SD880 against: her Canon SD450 (5MP), my Fuji F31fd (6MP) and a borrowed Panasonic LX-3 (10MP).

SD880 images are sharper than any of the three other cameras at the same f-stops and focal lengths. This is especially true regarding the SD450. Given the Leica pedigree on the LX-3's super fast (f2.0-2.8) 24-60mm lens I had expected it to be sharper than the tiny SD880 so was surprised to find noticeably sharper

Canon Powershot 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera
This camera replaced Posershot S3 as a walk around. I haven't been able to use all the bells and whistles, but it has proven to be, not only a worthy successor, but also much more.

Polaroid 5.0MP Digital Camera with 4x Digital Zoom (Refurbished)-Polaroid 5.0MP 4x Zoom Digital Camera
I bought this camera as a first digital for my son , an eight year old. I am disappointed with the quality of the re-furbishment. I had Overstocks send a seceond camera to double check my concerns. Both cameras appear very well used and show trememdous amounts of scratches on the LCD screen. I will fire it up and test the picture quality and other features but wanted people to know that Overstocks supply on this one doesn't look so good.

It came in the mail so quickly like usual and my son just loves it. He said it is so very easy to use and slips right in his pocket. He lays tile for a living and uses it to keep a diary of his jobs. Thank you very much Overstock!

Panasonic Lumix 9.1-Megapixel Digital Camera - Silver
This camera is a gem. Its got all the bells and whistles I would want and it was shipped very quickly in excellent condition from the vendor. The website offered a clear description and I got exactly what I expected to get when I got it, barring any future surprises. This is perfection!

Canon EOS 15.1-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera - Black
I just upgraded from a Rebel XTi. I absolutely love my XTi, but I needed a little more. To see the kind of work I shoot, go to www.flickr.com/photos/waterbubblz
This camera is everything canon promises. Though I've read every review on here religiously, and read about the errors some have received, I have not had any issues with this. I have tried it with both my 50mm 1.8 (BUY this lens, btw) and Macro 60mm 2.8. Outstanding results.

Highly recommended!

Canon PowerShot SD880 IS 10-Megapixel Digital Camera - Gold
This is my first Canon product, i have always had Nikons. Although I am still learning it I am very pleased. I bought a Nikon 710 first and did not like the results and returned it and decided to try the Canon and I have been very happy with it so far. In my opinion I get a little better color out of it than my previous coolpix cameras and i like the delayed shutter for night time photos with low ISO.

Olympus SP-565 Digital Camera-10.0 MP SP-565 UZ
Just got this camera recently but here is my initial take. Ideally I'd like to have a camera that can take intelligent pictures without much guess when in auto mode. Some of my pictures in auto mode will come out nice and others will come out blurry, even in good light conditions. Any settings saved in auto mode or scn mode are reset just by changing modes or turning off the camera. So if you don't want to use iESP and want to use spot focus instead, you have to keep resetting it each time. Settings will only be saved in P, A, S, M or video modes. Macros come out really nice. Zoom is great, but can loose focus in auto mode especially if zoomed to the max. The evf switches to lcd screen after each shot, so you have to watch it on the screen after each shot and not on the evf. When switching between scene modes, you have to go through lots of buttons and you cant see how the image looks through the lens, instead you see the built in images representing each mode and then it switches

Tamron AF28-300mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di VC Lens with Built-in Motor for Nikon
Having acquired this lens yesterday as a general purpose walk around lens I wanted to post my initial feelings on this piece of glass. Tamron optics tend to be "middle of the road", neither super stellar nor super awful. This lens, however, does go far beyond the middle towards stellar.

The good:
The VC on this lens is on par with Nikon's VR. Tamron will tell you it's better because of 3 axis control, but I'm not buying it. Still, the VC is really capable and at 300 mm you can get a usable result at 1/40th of a second with good technique.

Color reproduction is good, too, and the lens provides a nice amount of contrast. Probably the best result I've seen out of a Tamron to date.

Sharpness is actually amazingly good stopped down, and not bad wide open either. This is what impressed me the most with this lens.

The bad:
The VC is loud. You can hear it work. I guess some people may find that assuring, but I find it slightly annoying.

Focus is about as slow as a glacier indoors. Outdoors,

Canon EOS 15.1-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera - Black
I am about 1,000 images into the new 50D. So far it's been a pleasure. I am switching from a Nikon D200. Nikon, to me, has superior ergonomics - the buttons and functions are so well thought out. Canon works well too but sometimes I feel like I need to be double jointed to change a setting. I do not like the wheel on top; the silver color is not great and it turns to easily. I have switched modes in the middle of shooting and not known it. But, the camera feels solid, the screen is absolutely amazing, the menus are super easy to navigate, the 6 frames per second is impressive. 15 megapixels; well, you only need it if you are printing larger than 20" or so. I've done 26" prints with a 10 megapixel, and if you know what you are doing and use a great printer it's flawless. As for low noise - well, it's low, but I'm not blown away. Remember all your lenses will be 1.6 times their focal length, so it's hard to go wide angle with this camera. But, it's easy to get super tele photo.

Canon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 Telephoto Zoom Lens for Select Canon Cameras
Having used the Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 Image Stabilized USM SLR Lens for EOS Digital SLR's for about two years now, this is the perfect focal length range for use as a day-to-day walkabout lens on my Canon 40D. Other Canon gear that I have include their excellent EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS , their razor-sharp EF 70-200mm f/4L IS , EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DO IS , the L-grade-sharpness EF 100mm f/2.8 macro , MP-E 65mm f/2.8 macro , and MR-14EX macro ring lite.

In low light or wider-angle scenery shots, this lens is not as sharp as my 17-55mm f/2.8. When used to photograph macro-like shots of butterflies and flowers, it is not as sharp as my 100mm f/2.8. When used at its 200mm lens to focus onto distant birds and turtles sitting on a stone in a pond, it is not as sharp as my 70-200mm f/4L. But as a one-lens solution for covering that kind of focal lengths, it is pretty good. On sunny days, I use this lens on a 40D with a B&W multi-coated MRC Kaesemann Circular Polarizer. I consider this

Canon EOS 15.1-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera - Black
I did a lot of research before switching from Pentax to Canon. I have several friends who shoot with the 30D and love them,, but this has much more to offer. The 40D did not get great reviews from my professional friends, which meant a lot to me. I stayed away from the 40D after reading too many forums with negitive comments on DigitalWeddingchat, dppreivew, and Canonforums. I am a semi-professional and use this camera for portrait and landscape work. What I noticed first off was the quality of the photos right out of the camera. They are beautiful. With my Pentax K10D I really struggled with low light situations,, the Canon 50D camera doesn't. It is easy to learn how to use, and quite lightweight. Until I put the pro L series lens on it! The huge LCD is amazing. So crisp and clear. I find the controls well placed and easy to use.
I do believe I paid way too much at full price, but I couldn't wait. :) I can't recommend Willoughbys enough. The camera had a dust spot in the viewfinder and

Canon PowerShot 10.0-Megapixel Digital ELPH Camera - Silver
Canon SD models have a very high quality photo for the amount you pay for them. I have had two models before this one and have had no problems with either, the SD 800 IS and the SD 850 IS. I expect the same from this model. So far I am impressed by the photos I have very good results. I like to carry the model SD 880 with me most of the time for unexpected shots. I carry my 50D or D300 for the expected shots, The SD880 so far has met my expectations and will be in my car most of the time.
I highly recommend the 880 to beginners or anyone else.

Canon PowerShot 10.0-Megapixel Digital ELPH Camera - Silver
My dissatisfaction with the Canon SD880IS all stem from really missing my old Fujifilm F30. That good old camera has the best lens/CCD of any point-n-shoot that I've ever seen. Even ISO1600 photos were usable. Everything was low noise. But (probably because it's Made in Ch---) the two F30's that I've owned all crashed way before reaching 2 full years of use. Yes, I had liked the camera so much that after the first one died I bought another one to replace it.

Yes, the problem with the SD880 is NOISE NOISE NOISE. Even at very low ISO I can see the noise everywhere on the picture. I tried going for lower pixel count but they are still very visible. If you want to buy this camera, make sure that you've taken a few photos and zoom them out in playback mode. It's only after feeding a photo through Noise Ninja that I finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Noise problem aside, the SD880 is packed with so many neat features. I've set the manual white balance to be trigged by the printer
