HP FR921UA Pavilion dv4-1120us Entertainment 14.1" Notebook PC
For the price, this computer has a lot, very fast and nice features. The only two poblems with this computer are very anoying, first if you are not used to Vista you'll spend a lot of time trying to find everything compatible with Vista 64-bits, and the second big problem is that there's a problem with the wireless and the audio, you will hear a distorsion every 2 minutes for about 3 or 4 seconds and that sucks.

ASUS EEEPC904HA-BLK010X Eee PC 904HA 8.9" Netbook - Fine Ebony
I purchased this from Amazon.com, shipped on monday, received on wednesday, free shipping, how good is that ;>))
I like a couple of others here initially ordered the 900 model and quickly cancelled it and chose the 904HA, mainly because of battery life and also the larger keyboard, my fingers are not small ;>)
First, let me say everything you are reading about this little, no, tiny computer is true, I am amazed at how fast XP loads up, boom, XP is loaded.
Don't worry about not having a CDROM drive, if you have a desktop or notebook and a wireless network, just make that drive shared, right click on the other computers CD/DVD drive and click on SHARE. You may have to shut down your firewire in IE or McAfee or what ever you are using for security software but after that it's easy. I am loading a program from my desktop to "tiny" right now as we speak, couldn't be easier.
The keyboard is really nice, a little larger than the 900 model and so my large fingers are able to type pretty easily.

ASUS EPC1000HA-BLK001X Eee PC 1000HA 10" Netbook - Fine Ebony
If you want a do-it-all package that is very portable, then get this machine. It is a must.

I bought this machine because I needed a new laptop and wanted something that was very portable. I opted for the 10" screen and the 6 cell battery because of recommendations from other reviews. I am not regretting the choices.

This thing is fabulous! It does everything they claim and more. The size does not get in the way, and the keyboard is hardly smaller than normal so it is very easy to use. The screen is big enough, but I must confess when I go back to my 15" Dell, I hear the theme from 2001 A Space Odyssey in my head. ;)

Speed in booting is very good. Conectivity is very good too. It can automatically connect to any wifi it has been connected to in the past as it is in range. In other words, it can and does hand off to the strongest signal it can find as you move. A handy feature when you are a passenger in a car and there are lots of hotspots along the way. I bought an external antenna

ASUS EEEPC904HA-BLK010X Eee PC 904HA 8.9" Netbook - Fine Ebony
I have had this laptop for 4 days now and 100% love it. The size is insane.

I have owned 2 laptops over the years...a 15" and 17" and what I hated was lugging it around. I would always have to take the AC adapter with me...now I can leave it at home.

It's so lightweight...this thing weighs like 3 pounds.

It comes with a simple zipper cover and I can actually fit my Logitech track ball mouse inside with the laptop. I no longer need to carry a laptop bag because I don't need the AC adapter.

The battery lasts about 6 hours for me.

I replaced the 1 gb ram with 2 gb and it makes a big difference.
I highly recommend using a software application called Eboostr to further increase performance. You can run a search on google and the site will come up. It uses your flash drive as additional ram. I notice a huge difference with programs like Photoshop or SoundForge. Plus you can get tiny 2 or 4 gb flash drives that you can leave plugged in. Or even better get a SD card and use that instead.

Lenovo 59-015270 IdeaPad U330-7232UDT 13.3" Notebook
Some of the previous reviews are frankly asinine.

Any objective evaluation of this notebook will show you that this is a state-of-the-art 13.3 inch notebook. It has SWITCHABLE graphics, an LED screen DDR 3 ram, and the latest Centrino 2 processor. On top of that, it weighs under 4.5 pounds, which makes it both lighter AND more powerful (when using ATI graphics instead of the integrated) than the 13.3 inch aluminum Macbooks.

Best of all, because of the switchable GPU, you don't sacrifice battery life to get performance. When you're on the road, use the Intel chipset and you'll get a realistic 4+ hours of wireless usage.

This is without a doubt, the best value proposition in 13.3 inch laptop market.

This isn't to say this notebook is without it's flaws. Ergonomically, this laptop is top-notch quality. The typing experience is far more comfortable than the keyboard on the Macbook and Vaio's. But design wise, this computer is a lot like a business laptop than a sleek sexy consumer

Lenovo 59-015270 IdeaPad U330-7232UDT 13.3" Notebook
first of all, I don't own any Lenovo brand product, but I bought 3 (or 4, depend on your definition) Thinkpads when they were under Lenovo's management. I decide to write this review to shed some lights (or some truth) based on my humble opinion.

1. there is someone pointed out that Lenovo charges too much for this spec. it should be more like 500 dollar or 600 dollar computer. how does that reviewer feel about Sony? Apple? what i'd like to say is there is more to a computer than just CPU, RAM, and HDD. I spend 1800 bought my Compaq notebook with full aluminum top cover while the similar spec DELL cost at most 1200 at that time. I didn't regret a bit as that extra protection really helped that computer survive all my college years with all the dropping and throwing, and it still full functional today after all those abuse unlike my friend's DELL which are out of duty years ago. The same experience made me spend another 2k on a Lenovo thinkpad T61p. I accidentally stepped on my thinkpad

Lenovo 59-015270 IdeaPad U330-7232UDT 13.3" Notebook
I do NOT have this Lenovo U330 Ideapad, but I wanted to balance the negative comment which was made about very bad Lenovo support. I purchased a Lenovo IdeaCentre K210 desktop in August and have had some issues with it. I have called Lenovo tech support a few times and have always received prompt and courteous help from English speaking support staff in the US or Canada. One time a Tech spent 75 minutes with me on the phone, patiently walking me through each step to solve my problem. He may not have been the most knowledgeable Tech ever, but he was very personable and helpful. I would definitely buy another Lenovo product.

Apple MacBook with 13.3" Display
What can I tell the world about this Macbook..hmmm

I have wanted to get a macbook for ages but never had the money but I finally got it and have not regretted selling my Toshiba Satellite. The Macbook is indeed the real deal and feels like a real notebook; it is very light, slick, fast and just a beauty to look it.. an amazing piece of technology...

Pros
- It is very light and much faster on Vista (I use parallels) than my Toshiba.
- This works too well with the iphone, they are like cousins... syncing my iphone with iCal, Address book and iPhoto is too easy compared to working on windows..
- It is very well designed, smooth architecture which i have no complaints about.
- You cant see the speakers but i love the sound that i hear. a friend has the previous macbook version and this one sounds much better than it overall.
- Mac has built in sensors for adjusting to different light conditions and its brilliant.
- Your iphone headset works on this like on the iPhone, it pauses music in itunes,

ASUS EPC900HA-BLK006X Eee PC 900HA 8.9" Netbook - Black
I recently bought one of these for my father to use so he can escape to a coffee shop or similar haunt to grab e-mail and surf to his heart's content.

After perusing the two best known candidates, the Asus and the Acer 8.9" netbooks, the Asus won me over with it's overall build & screen quality, and features. The Acer is nice, but expanding/repairing the Asus is much, much better due to the easy access bottom panel. The Acer lacks that feature. Additionally, the Acer LCD panel just did not compare quality wise and the unconventional mouse button placement was more awkward than the slightly revised keyboard of the Asus.

Loaded Open Office 3, Acrobat, and all of the usual suspects for free but usable software to find the Asus runs everything with ease. If you opt to upgrade to 2 gigs of memory the thing is unbelievably quick (given the form factor).

Pros - price, excellent construction, performance, good wi-fi performance, easy expansion access, and easily 4+ hours of use from the battery.

Cons

Canon Powershot 14.7-Megapixel Digital Camera - Black
The G10 gets trashed in reviews by people who expect it to take its nearly 15 megapixels on a tiny sensor and give results akin to a full-frame DSLR. Well, that's just plain dumb. If that's what you expect, think again. If you want the highest possible image quality even at high ISOs, you should save up the $$$$ for that DSLR. Or, better yet, learn photographic technique and processes and buy an 8x10 view camera with a heavy tripod and get the best in image quality.

The G10 is what it is. It is a well-built, versatile, small camera that is highly capable in highly capable hands and still very functional to those less capable. It's a camera for the person who uses bigger cameras who doesn't always want or need to carry a bigger camera. It produces satisfying results and it has a super good lens that covers the most useful focal length range (35mm equivalent 28mm to 135mm--I know, it says it goes to 140mm but 135mm is a traditional focal length and 5mm +/- doesn't matter at all

ASUS EEEPC904HA-BLK010X Eee PC 904HA 8.9" Netbook - Fine Ebony
I got this netbook last week and am having a great time with it. I have a decent core 2 duo 14" laptop and when I use the two side by side, my new netbook has no problem keeping up with the speed of the other one.

Let me break it down for you here...

1) Why I chose to buy Asus eee pc 904ha - I considered several options, but the reputation of Asus won me over. And then from the various models, I was getting differing opinions concerning celeron vs atom. In the end, I was reading that the speed was comparable but atom used less juice and so produced less heat. And so atom was chosen. Most people complained that the SDD on eee pc was problematic and so I chose the large 160 sata hd. I almost bought 900ha. In fact, I canceled the order right after I bought it. I changed to 904ha because I was reading that the keyboard on the 900 was simply too small. I was reading that people had to get adjusted to it. My fingers are large, and so I didn't want to take a chance on it. In the end, I love

Compaq Presario Desktop with AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core Processor 4800
The hard drive was not imaged, and you have to wait 20 minutes to figure out if the thing actually works.

The video card would not sync with my LCD monitor at higher resolution, only safe mode. Called tech support. After 20 minutes of talking with two people from India, I packed up the computer and took it back to WalMart.

Satellite L305-S5907 Intel Core 2 Duo T3200 2.0GHz Notebook
I will never buy a Toshiba again. Problem #1, the laptop heats up very, very, very hot. I have to have a book or thick magazine between the computer and my lap when I am sitting on the couch using the laptop. I have heard that this heat is very bad for the computer in the long run. Problem #2, this is the worst!> The keyboard has lost its sense of touch. I have to press extremely hard on the keys to type an email or a letter. When I speed type an email, I review it and there are many letters missing. Huge pain in the neck to go back and enter the letters that were missed. The keyboard is a piece of junk! I saved a few $$ buying this, what a mistake. Next time I am going with Sony or HP; even a Dell would be better than this Toshiba.

ASUS EEEPC1000HD-BK003 Eee PC 1000HD 10 Notebook - Galaxy Black
I needed this small machine for my work travels and I wanted to get away from the Microsoft trap. I use Apple at home, MS for work, but thought it was time to try Linux. I am very satisfied so far. Don be afraid to use this operating system, and this Asus netbook. Very nice!

Sony VAIO® VGC-LT37N 22" All in One Desktop PC
This is one of those special products where the performance meets or exceeds the superb design. The physical appearance of this Sony product complements any home or office. However the physical appearance does not detract from the absolute first class performance. Frequently devices that look this good simply do not meet technical expectations. Well, this desktop is excellent.

The integration of the computer within a screen is necessarily the result of notebook type architecture. I mean this in the sense that this computer is not simply a generic box with various off-the-rack components as needed. The compact size required the type of engineering that can only be offered by a large company with a commitment to industrial design as well as technology. While the end result is not inexpensive, all I can say is that you get what you pay for.

Apple MacBook Pro with 15.4" Display
It is everything in a laptop i dream of and more. super fast, in all aspects of what I want to do, be it video editing, music editing, or writing a resume or just plain surfing,it is the best OS of all! My only peeve is that the hard drive is not a true 320GB hard drive (298?). Other than that, this laptop blows all of the rest out of the water. On Boot camp, a vista OS never had it so good with the ultra crisp graphics and and vivid color. That is the only thing that vista have over leopard, but leopard eats it up overall. Highly recommended if you want the best of both worlds in OSes, this is it and no other. That alone in my book makes this system worth every penny and once you go mac.......you never go back! My Imac pushed me away from PC's and there is no more need other than other particular things that windows do that OS X do not. Great investment, worth every dollar in my opinion. Parallels in an awesome hit as well! so many features, that will blow you away. Just a true blessing

Samsung X360-34P Laptop Intel Core 2 Duo U9400 1.4GHz, 3GB, 128GB HDD, 13.3 Wide WXGA, 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, Microsoft Vista Business
I bought this laptop four days before writing this review. I wanted to be sure I was not just overwhelmed at the laptop before writing this review.

First off I want to add that I wanted a laptop that was small, light weight, could use outside without the light negating the screen, had a long battery life and that I could write code on. I say write code on as I am a database developer and use Microsoft's Visual Studio and SQL Server products on a daily basis.

After installing all the software I use, and using it for the last four days, all I can say is that it is almost the perfect laptop.

What is not perfect about it? Well it does not have a CD or DVD player on it (I can live without but nice to have), it is thicker in the back part than what the images show online.

Other than that, it is the best laptop I have ever owned. To give you an idea of laptops I have owned in the last five years, I have owned Toshiba Sattelite, Toshiba Portege, Sony VAIO (both 17" and 12"), and a Dell

ASUS N10JA2 N10 10.2" Notebook Netbook
First off, let me say that I love this little notebook. And I DID say NOTEBOOK. It is about time someone gives this baby its due. It has a lot of the same specs as Asus' awesome Netbook (The eee PC 1000H 160GB) but offers a LOT more quality. A lot of people are saying that they are too close to justify 300 dollars more in price but I say BAH! First off, the NETBOOK (1000H) ONLY comes with a 1-year warranty. Period. This baby comes with Asus Notebook's standard Global 2-year 360 coverage warranty WITH the option to purchase an additional 3rd year warranty. 360 coverage means that if there IS a problem, they will have it sent to them, repaired and sent back to you (usually with in a few days) at THEIR expense. PLUS, they offer a year's worth Accidental Damage Replacement after you register it within 60 days of purchasing it. You drop it, it breaks, they replace it!!! And have we all not had a graphics card or motherboard that flakes out after a year or so. When that happens to

Apple MacBook with 13.3" Display
Let's start with this, I love this machine, is small, compact, beautiful and powerful. It runs cold, it's easy to carry and it's easy to work with it. Running Mac OS X, Windows or Linux every task is a breeze. The 2.4ghz processor is fast and runs cold. The 2gigs of ram is sufficient for my daily tasks, but for more powerful multitasking upgrade to 4 gigs. The machine have all the connectivity i need, sans firewire, but I can live without firewire. Beware this machine will hurt relationships!!
