Plantronics Cordless Headset Phone - CT14
Pros: Compact design, Easy To Set Up, Good Sound, Strong Signal, Wide Range
it provides a strong signal and is hands free. However I think it would be better if there were a speakerphone base. Sometimes the headset gets a bit trying to wear.

Plantronics Cordless Headset Phone - CT14
Pros: Compact design, Easy To Set Up, Good Sound, No running for the phone, Strong Signal, Wide Range
Useful for those with limited mobility. Can keep it next to you and yet move around the house/yard as needed. Love the headset that makes this a "hands-free" phone.

Plantronics Cordless Headset Phone - CT14
Pros: Comfortable Handset, Compact design, Easy To Set Up, Good Sound, Nice Features
I recently began working from home. I needed a second phone line and wireless headset for work related calls. My wife was unhappy with tying up our primary phone and the high pitch of some voices in the meetings were, apparently, quite annoying as I had only a speaker phone and work at night. I had a Plantonics wireless headset at the office, but it needed to be connected to a corded phone and I did not have the desk space at home for both a corded phone and the wireless headset base station. I found many wireless headsets, but most required a seperate product to allow you to dial out. This unit seemed like it filled the bill so I took a chance and ordered one.<br >It turned out to be everything I wanted in a wireless headset - the ability to dial out from the headset, quality sound, very comfortable (I prefer an over the head headset - I never got used to those over the ear types, and this phone had both), good distance (I suppose 300 feet is its range, but as long as it gets me to

I need a wireless headset because I have arthritis in my hands and cannot hold a phone for any length of time, plus I can do other things with my hands when my long-winded relatives or friends call. I do not like a speaker phone. This is perfect for me!

Replaced an older set from the same company. Others have said that the quality to price ratio has gone down from previous version...but we disagree. Battery life is exceptional and performance par excellence.

Plantronics Cordless Headset Phone - CT14
I had another plantronics cordless headset that worked well for over 5 years. I replaced this with the CT-14 after reading reviews of various options. Am on the phone with Plantronics tech support right now, while hearing a constant buzz or noise on the line. Apparently this noise is only heard on my end. They will be sending me a filter to try and reduce the noise. Hopefully the filter will remove the noise.

Plantronics makes very nice headsets. When I needed one for working from home I looked at Plantronics first. The CT14 is a cordless phone/headset combination. It is very convenient and easy to use. I can wander around the house and still remain connected to my work meetings. I highly recommend this to anyone in need of a headset for work or home use.

With the exception of the ring town, I am very pleased with this Plantronics Cordless/Headset phone. However, it's too bad the volume level on the ring tone, even when set on high, is barely audible. This forces you to carry this phone with you at all times, otherwise you are sure to miss calls. The sound quality for incoming calls is excellent. And all features are very easy to use including generating an address book, deleting caller id, etc.

Great phone...Just a couple of observations: The phone is smaller than I thought it would be so the display pad is in turn smaller...Need glasses to view Can not turn down the volume low enough..so if talking to a loud speaker I must move the ear piece so it is not directly on my ear

This phone is really handy for people who work from home. The sound quality is mostly clear (not fantastic) but what's so great is that it's completely hands free and the battery life is long. The problem is, whenever it rings, I get kicked off the wireless internet. I don't know enough about how wireless interference works to blame the phone, the wireless router, the provider (who is providing phone and internet from the same box) or my wireless card (or something else), but what I know is that I get kicked off the wireless when this phone rings. We've solved the problem by running a ghetto ethernet cable from the router to my office, and we will have to hire an electrician to run the cable through the walls, because I really like walking around with this phone. It's just turned into an expensive project.

Buttons could be alot bigger and take up more area to make inputting easier. Sound quality is better tham my new panasonic Dect 6 + with headphones.

Plantronics Cordless Headset Phone - CT14
Working in my home office requires free hands for the computer while I talk on the phone. I purchased this unit because I was not satisfied with just using an earpice with my regular phone as too often I would have to cross the room to get something off the shelf while using the phone and computer at the same time. This unit gives me the freedom to move about freely and multi-task. The sound is good and the earpice is comfortable to wear for long periods of time. My only frustration is the smallness of the buttons that make it a bit difficult to dial.

Unfortunately, Plantronics uses forced obsolescence. Once they come out with a new model for this phone, they will stop manufacturing the battery. This is what they have done with the CT11/12, which I have used for several years. Even though the unit still works fine, they have announced that they have stopped supplying batteries because they have a new model (the CT14). They could have easily made a unit that used AA or AAA replaceable batteries, but by using proprietary batteries and then refusing to make them any more, they are forcing you to abandon a perfectly good phone and buy their newer model. You might prefer to buy from another company that doesn't use this tactic.

Fine with the hardware - the form factor is great. I was not as pleased with the headset as some of my other ones but it was acceptable - the option for on ear and over head was nice. But the one thing that brings me to give it a thumbs down is the Battery life and charger. The biggest reason I bought this was the long battery life and professional level of operation. Well, that's not the case. It goes from fully charnged to dead in about the space of an hour conference call. Even more unfortunately, that's not just talking, but anytime it's off the charger. Even worse, if you drop it back in the charger before it's completely discharged, it seems to try to save the number of charges and does not RECHARGE until it is below about 25% charge. So if I'm not careful to let it run down, I'll pick up the phone and find I only have 15/20 minutes of charge left even though it's been on the charger for hours. NOT pleased with this one. And ironically, it's the most expensive phone I've

Plantronics Cordless Headset Phone - CT14
I owned and used the Plantronics CT12 for many years in my business, and loved it. The CT14 is even better, with more features, and the audio hum produced by the CT12 in the earphone (possibly signal interference) is completely gone, probably because of the higher frequency. The only small wrinkle is that the CT14 feeds back a little of my own voice into the headphone when I speak, but I've already gotten used to that. All in all, heartily recommended!

Plantronics Cordless Headset Phone - CT14
I recently got a job to make lots of long phone calls. I knew I needed a head set & wanted one that did not have to plug into a phone. The Plantronics CT14 is it. I read lots of the other reviews & decided to take the plunge. I am so glad I did. I do 45-minute interviews and this headset leaves both of my hands free to enter data into the computer. I strongly recommend it!

I have liked the sound quality and features of the headset. It is comfortable and light. Unfortunately I have had it break twice in the same place--the plug where the headset plugs into the phone body has shorted out and crackles and cuts out. It was replaced under warranty once, pretty quickly I might add, but now I have to send it back again. What a pain.
