When it worked it was quite alright, it would lock in with the satellites quite quickly - in fact faster that the Garmin 360 that I had. The display is pretty good and the features are good enough for this price range. The battery life was quite bad however. Even a full charge never lasted more than a couple of hours. I had to pretty much keep it plugged in to the car charger when I was using it.
But one fine day it just died, it was actually on and giving me directions and then suddenly it went blank just like that. It wouldn't power on after that even when I plug it in, nor would it charge or show any sign of life. Luckily because it was still within the "return" deadline I was able to return it.

It is a great product, very easy to use, if you follow the instructions on the screen. You can set the volume and your preference of getting to your destination. You can avoid freeways if you want to. I love the feature that allows you to search for stores nearby or other destinations by name, you do not have to know their addresses.
I have used it many times and have never got lost, I simply love it and could never live without it.
The only problem is the disk is not sticking to my cars' dashboard right, so it keeps falling off. I imagine that I can buy a kit that would stick better.

This is the first GPS I have used. I work and ride with others that have garmin and an off brand. I like this one better. The street names with turns, bell just before turn and points of interest are great features to me. I can plan where to meet such as a restaurant in a location I am traveling to even though I had never been there before. The unit is accurate, voice is clear and understandable. I like that it just tells you the next turn when you miss a turn instead of yelling at you to make a U turn. I purchased a mini usb charger for my home and a mini usb cable to connect to my computer to download updates. Both were under 10 bucks. I don't know what else you would want. The price is icing on a good cake.

I don't know what other GPS systems are like, but I was prepared to spend some time learing how to use this one, as I had never even seen a GPS system in action. But I don't think I even glanced at the instruction manual before I had it installed and I had my first destination programmed. After very little practice with known destinations, I put it to the test and this directionally challenged driver was flawlessly (and comfortingly) to an unknown address some 30 miles away in the back-woods of Concord. I love this thing. My only concern is that the friend who recommended this model said her charger cracked while stowed in her glove box during frigid weather.

I got this GPS for short trips around the DC area. the first time I turned it on it thought I was in California and never found the satellite signal. I left it on for at least 10 minutes and it never gave me proper directions. I tried again, thinking it may need some time to "warm" up and the same result. I am taking it back to the store, what a waste!

This unit was easy to use from the time i took it out of the box ! I really like the rerouting of the unit if i miss a turn or take a wrong turn . The unit has a good battery life and came with everything needed to start using your unit right away . I did some shopping before i decided to buy a Magellan and am glad i did ! This unit has a good size screen and many good one touch items . Helps me find nearest gas stations and banks and more . A great buy !

This little navigator is small and easy to use. The features are user friendly especially when you don't want to get too technical. It works quickly and learns over time.

Hey I didn't know what to expect when buying a GPS that's less that a hundred bucks..but I'm impressed. Aside from the quick delivery, the device is light weight, easy to store, and has been successful at getting me everywhere I need to go.

This GPS is easy to set-up and suctions to windshield and is quickly removed when needed. I found the maps to be current and very accurate in south Fla roadways including Miami and Tampa and the voice directions are timely and give advance notice. The map is a very visible and the price I paid for it $88.00 was well worth it! Great GPS. I will be purchasing another one for my daughter.

Touch screen navigation is nice. My townhouse was built 3 years ago (2007) but I am unable to enter my home addresss. The "smart city" feature prevents me from doing so. It arbitrarily gives me a street name that is irrelavent and I am not able to over ride it. I have to use a nearby street intersection for my home address.

Overall, it's definitely a great product for the price! The controls and searches take sometime to get use to, but I have not come across a location that does not come up in the search yet. It also redirects you if you are not going in the same direction it originally tells you to.

Some people have had a problem mounting because of screen size but I didn't. I have a 2005 Subaru Impreza and it mounted to the windsheild with the standard mount that came with it. Can't say enough about the bright big screen.

I wanted a gps for fun and also cause I deliver pizza part time. The maps are very accurate and vast! It has apartment complex roads and random side streets which really comes in handy. It even had the new on ramp for I-10 that just got finished months ago! Only thing I have seen it not map is a couple random trailor parks that arent paved roads. The ease of use and all around bang for the buck was amazing. I figured it would be a last year model clunky piece of junk. But it looks just like the ones people are charging 150-200 dollars for and has alot of features i didnt expect. awesome product, if you want one and dont wanna blow a bunch of unneccasary cash this is the gps for you..

Pros:
I love the touch screen. This is much easy to use than the older models with buttons of course! I also love that after you type a few letters of the state, town, or street it will give you a list which makes the address typing feature much quicker.
Cons:
I already need to update mine and it was a Christmas present bought on black friday, some of the details it is missing such as my neighborhood extending further have been around for about 2 years. The main problem I have here is that you can only use a PC to update the maps etc. I have a Mac... so now I have to go find a PC to update it!!

The Magellan SE4 GPS has been wonderful for our family as we have completely relied on road maps and printing directions off of our computer. This is so much simpler! And being able to order it online from Best Buy and go to their store to pick it up was so simple - even on December 24th!

I have only had it for a short time but I like it. It is easy to use and has a good POI listing. It doesn't tell you which side of the street your destination is located. I have missed a turn because there was such a short distance between turns. If you get off your route it tells you to turn around, and if you don't it re-routes you to your orginal destination from where you are currently located.

I bought this product for a trip to Florida and found that it does a wonderful job on finding locations. The only problem is when you are trying to enter the address, it has a quick find feature that does not give you a chance to enter the entire address unless you use the zip code entry, which is ok with me. It is very fast in re-calculating you directions if you miss an exit or street. I intentionally did this a few times and it came back with the alternate route immediately. For the price, you cannot beat it. This does not have a lot of bells and whistles, which makes it easy to use.

I'm going to upgrade to the Neverlost that is in Hertz rental cars. This is okay for a cheapo GPS but it freezes at times and if you take a wrong turn, it takes a minute to recalculate the route.
