Pros: Good price for a 2TB drive that will automate backing up all of your PCs on your home network.
Cons: The back up software, did not recognize the drive so I could only use it via windows explorer.
Conceptually the drive is a good value. You simply connect it to your network and you should be able to back up all of your PCs to it. However the back up software could not find/recognize the drive, so I could not use the automated back up software. It was no better than having a drive on the network that I had to manually drag/drop files to using windows explorer. I worked with Segate tech support for hours, but they could not get the software/drive to work. I eventually upgrade to their Business 1 bay drive, its back up software's discover feature had a similar problem. However the Business NAS Black Armor back up software allowed me to simply enter the static IP address of the drive and then everything worked fine. Segate's support site is full of users with similar issue. To keep it simple, consider getting the Business NAS 1 Bay instead. Its a few more dollars, but could save you hours of troubleshooting; simply by providing the option to configure the back up software manually.<br
