Sony MDR-EX300/BLK Vertical In-the-Ear Style EX Style Headphones (Black)

These headphones actually sound pretty good, but I wanted to make sure everybody knew that the advertised "frequency range" specifications are completely false. I believe that because the specs are wrong on Sony's own website, that this information has been repeated on all others. I'm not sure if Sony is aware of this misinformation themselves, so I took the liberty of writing a review on the Sony Website as well. The online specifications for the "frequency range" (sound range output) states that these headphones can output at 4hz to 28Khz. This is wrong. This model's actual frequency range (as stated on the actual box it came in) is 5hz to 24Khz. This is a huge difference in numbers, and I think it's very unethical for Sony to put false information for it's product. I bought these headphones to upgrade from my Sony MDR-EX75 headphones. The MDR-EX75 were rated at 6hz - 24 khz... almost identical to these new MDR-EX300. And because the MDR-EX75 are much cheaper (with virtually the same specs as these), I wouldn't have bought the new MDR-EX300 if I had known that the specs were nearly the same. The MDR-EX75 are going for $20, while the MDR-EX300 are about $50. That's a difference of $30! To be fair, the MDR-EX300 do sound a little bit better. The sound is a little bit fuller, but I think to most people the difference is imperceptible. So, if you want headphones that sound almost as good and are a much better value, I would recommend the Sony MDR-EX75 instead of these. I'm also hoping that Sony will correct the wrong specifications info. after the info in this review is verified. Pros: -Good sound... but not amazing. -Comes with a nice velcro wallet carrying case -Initial Build quality seems ok... although I haven't had these for long. Cons -Expensive -Falsely Advertised Technical Specifications... according to Sony's own website: [...]
