I had seen the Acer Aspire One in stores and was impressed by both the size and price. I thought it would be perfect for me for school. Once I got mine, (PC Connection had very fast shipping by the way,) I was very impressed by the speed. I was not expecting the performance for the price. Just to see if it would handle it i actually installed Guild Wars, MMORPG that I play. To my great surprise Acer Aspire One handled it very well with almost no video lag at all. And I thought that playing on such a small screen would be a problem, but the screen is so clear that some of the graphics actually even looked better than on my 15" screen.

I have been using it for a few weeks now, I am used to the keyboard, which actually does not really take too long to get used to. And because everything is so close, once your fingers get used to the keys, and not having to reach for anything, is actually very nice.

The only difficulty I had with it at all was that is did not want to load initially. Acer support had me unplug it and remove the battery. Hold the power button for at least 30 sec. (I did it for a min.) Plug it in, and start it. Then once Windows loads put the battery back in. I had no other trouble with it after that.

There is also a D2D recovery, which will reinstall Windows with factory settings if you hold down <Alt>+<F10> during start up.

Overall the ACER Aspire One is an excellent investment.
