After one month of use, this unit performs GREAT.
PRO's: More Features, Flexibility, Quality than I expected.
CON's: Minor issue - (Verified with JVC) It is Designed to do only one thing at a time. IE, if recording, you cannot use it also to watch something else.
GENERAL: I wanted a "Do All" combo unit. No other unit I researched comes close to the "PRO's above! I was delighted to find all the usage features I expected... and then some that I had not imagined, like easy navigation to "favorite channels" you designate (because it finds more channels than I expected!). While the documentation doesn't mention the existance of its Signal Strength Meter, Its displayed when using the Channel Editor. This is crucial if you are seeking to improve your incoming TV/HDTV signal. (I'm using an old roof-top TV antenna that I'm tweaking)
