Cons: Expensive accessories
I bought the iPad 2 shortly after the third generation came out. After comparing the two, I choose the iPad 2. Mostly cause of the cost and for what I use it for, the Retina display is not that important to me. Being an Apple, I have full use of Apps, iTunes, and still have all the accessories (that most will fit iPad third generation). Right now it is the correct choice for me.
