My Pioneer DVD recorder is my favorite, but cannot be purchased now for 5 or more years. The JVC will sometimes just quit in the middle of a cycle. This Toshiba is now my favorite, that's why two of them. Stick with 2, 4, or 6 hours of TV per disk. Very reliable.
