Pros: Speed, looks, size, lighted keyboard and synaptics
Cons: Not full SSD.
My desire was for a full SSD laptop, but with large screen, lit keyboard, Core i7, 8GB RAM, LED backlight, and synaptics (touchpad) with scroll and an on/off switch. I found everything but the full SSD for a thousand bucks. Thsi unit has a hybrid hard drive which basically puts the Window's cache onto a solid state hard drive, and has a standard rotating magnetic drive for everything else. It is fast indeed, but since I use a server for almost all my data, I wanted full speed and little storage. It's a very happy medium though for the money since I couldn't wait another year for the SSD's to take over. It is very fast, and a great thin machine. The synaptics are 2nd to none for a laptop and have borrowed heavily from the tablet/iPad industry for functionality. They dropped the VGA port for the for factor, but since most monitors, TVs and projectors now have HDMI, this works great for my presentations and portability. Home Run again, Samsung!
