I wanted a network connected drive to backup pictures. The issue I have with this drive is that Seagate has locked it down so that you can only use their software to use it and it is limited to 5 PCs or you have to pay a annual fee. The software sucks. It is past the return policy of Best Buy, which I limit most purchases at Best Buy because of, so I can not return it now. Make sure you really know what you are getting before you buy this.
