I didn't know what to expect when I bought this item. It comes in a small box with instructions easy to read. I wanted to connect my Apple TV, Blueray, and Amp (at the same time) to update my software and get access to internet radio, NETFLIX, etc. Once I plugged both sides where I needed it--the unit provided me with instant access to my wireless router and internet. I didn't find our problems with connection speeds when I started using this product. The nice thing is that I can go to any part of the house and connect a computer/laptop (if I don't want to use wireless or am having wireless issues) and connect to my network/internet without any problems. No need to purchase expensive CAT 5 cable to connect your computer/laptop.
