Pros: Hmmm.... Nothing really
Cons: Everything
Hello I am a busy small business owner with a master's degree in business, one in software and I am MD. So I would like to think that I know what I am doing. Unfortunately I never have time to leave reviews but with this one I had to make time. It wasted so much time with this product. I did all firmware updates etc etc. To no avail. Just don't waste your time. Find something else.

CradlePoint MBR900 3G/4G Ready Mobile Broadband N Router
Pros: Works great
Cons: Not easy to set up
I set this router up with Verizon mobile broadband. Very frustrating 2 day process. I eventually got the right combination of firmware and settings. Cradlepoint's customer service was not helpful. Chat is free, but to actually speak with support there is a charge. This router is not easy to set up, especially if you live in an area which does not have 4G towers or if you are not computer savvy.

CradlePoint MBR900 3G/4G Ready Mobile Broadband N Router
Pros: Easy to setup
Cons: Poor reliability
Was able to setup and update firmware in just munutes. Was connecting with Verizon USB727. Took it back after only two weeks. Router had to be reset manualy every other day in order to recognize the usb. On the in between days, it would drop the connection throught the day at varying intervals. Tried multiple tweeks to the configuration to no avail. The moring I returned it, it dropped the connection over 10 times in the span of an hour.

Pros: It works
Before attempting to set up the Cradelpoint MBR900, install your USB adapter in your PC and follow the instruction from your wireless provider to update the firmware in USB adapter. Following the instructions in the quick start guide I was able to have 4 PC running on our network within 30 minutes.

I thought I might be able to use just one aircard in my house instead of two and save myself 40.- a month by buying the Cradlepoint MBR900 router. The salesperson at BestBuy assured me that this router has a range of several hundred feet and that it should easily be able to cover my house. If I lived in a large tent that might be the case but this router apparently does not seem to like walls. If I'm in the same room with the router and my laptop right next to it it works beautifully. Just two rooms away the signal degraded to a point that made it impossible for me to connect.I used two different kinds of USB adapters, one standard and a more high end one as well. No difference. Techsupport for the unit is not great either. For live phone support they charge 10.- per incident but the chat support on their site is free. The guy who helped me there made a few suggestions to tweak some settings but that was unsuccessful.I had some additional questions about if cradlepoint sells a more powerful router or if there is a range booster for the unit, but he did not respond to those questions. So all in all... a big waste of time!

Since we don't have access to DSL where we live, we needed to go with AT&T's 3G broadband for our internet service. With this router you can easily set up your own personal WiFi Hot Spot at your house, so that your PC(s), laptop(s), smart phone(s), etc, can all have access to the internet at the same time through 1 single broadband 3G modem. All you have to do is plug the USB modem directly into the USB port on the router and you're up and running.

Fantastic router. It works better than I expected and even with the minor issues I can report, it is well worth the money. Pros, router does what it claims to do, and does it well. I have a 16 channel switch attached to this and the router handles all traffic flawlessly. I am using Sprint Mobile Broadband and the connection is made with the complement of a trucker antenna. Get great signal in a fringe area. The router actually manages my lan better than I expected. With the switch, it is feeding 3 computers and my dvr. Handles my internet video needs without dropping out.The Firmware updates are easy too, even for a novice user. The router lets you turn off the wireless connectivity if you want to, great option when we are surrounded by RF. Cons: occasionally goes to sleep and I have to disconnect the modem and reconnect it to regain signal. I think this is a setting and not the routers fault so this may in fact be user error.I would like to see what my signal strength is on the router because you will not see your connection manager while connected to this router. So far this has not been a problem because the connection is pretty reliable with my antenna. I will look into the router settings in the future and report back if I ever correct this.

CradlePoint MBR900 3G/4G Ready Mobile Broadband N Router
Router came as stated, new, undamaged, in timely manner. It worked at first hookup but when I tried to add other computers I had problems. This is my first attempt at installing and using a router. The online chat helped me with my issues. Setting up the management profile was my problem as I am unfamiliar with a lot of the technical issues. They work Mon thru Fri and this slowed me somewhat but I am up and running and router works well although sometimes due to signal strength we must still dedicate PC card to one device. I use this Cradlepoint router for the cell tower signal only and I am happy with my purchase.

This is a great router, works well, set up isn't to difficult. Works with gaming consoles easily, even worked with my Linksys range extender. 4 stars?: Customer service is great and very helpful with set up, because I needed it. Only minor issue is that you have to use 'chat' to talk to them even if you just got your router, which is only an issue if you need help since you have to have internet to chat. If you want to talk on the phone you have to pay right from the beginning. If you are having issues not getting connected to the internet then you have to hook it back up your old way, chat with them, then try new settings, would of like a 5 day customer service over the phone for free. Really a good strong router though, would get it again.

CradlePoint MBR900 3G/4G Ready Mobile Broadband N Router
I purchased a D-Link dual band DIR-825 router for $180 that is now collecting dust because it just didn't work with all my wireless devices, their tech support is horrible the firmware updates don't addresss the problems and taking control of my laptop a tech from one of my wireless devices was still not able to forward ports etc... he couldn't believe what a piece of garbage the D-Link was... anyway, now to the Cradlepoint MBR 900. In minutes it was up and running. I was easily able to navigate and set up everything I needed on my own as I have always been able to do prior to the D-link waste of money. I have an "N" band wireless laptop, a "G" band wireless laptop, a VOIP phone, a wi-fi Blackberry, a GE Simon 3 wireless internet home alarm system, ROKU for Netflix and a 3G Verizon aircard backup failover/back-up protection all plugged into the Cradlepoint MBR 900 all working with ease. Setting security on this router was a few minute breeze! Cradlepoint MRR900 also has a screen to "reserve" a DHCP device which I needed for my home alarm system. That took 3 seconds to do by myself and everything is working pefectly! I would have paid $350 for this. Thanks to Amazons great prices and Cradlepoint making the very best routers available in the world I would have to say this has been my best purchase in a VERY long time! Thank you Cradlepoint for restoring order to my life! I love the fact that as soon as my cable broadband service goes out that my Cradlepoint router quickly turns on my Verizon aircard to restore internet service to my home alarm system and all my other devices in my home. The second my cable broadband is back up the Cradlepoint turns off my Verizon aircard so it only uses time from the aircard when it is needed saving my aircard minutes. So that is a cool feature if you have an aircard? If not it's nice to know you can always use an aircard as a backup, or for that matter Virgin Mobile now offers unlimited 3G internet aircard for $40 so you could run your entire home off of just that with this router. I'm tied into Verizon for now. It's nice to have the choice if you want. You can use it as a regular run everything router or you can expand to all these really cool features. If I can run all of this on my Cradlepoint router I'm sure you will also be very pleased with this purchase not to mention it's about half the price of my worthless D-link dual x-treme N band router.

CradlePoint MBR900 3G/4G Ready Mobile Broadband N Router
I am using the Cradlepoint mobile broadband router with a Verizon mobile usb device. I had not heard of Cradlepoint before but they are about the only company that really is mostly devoted to mobile broadband routers that I found. I was very surprised and happy to discover that Cradlepoint has several higher quality features. Such as a quality website, packaging for their product and excellent documentation. Especially these days when you are lucky to get any printed documentation with an electronic product. I checked Cradlepoint's website first to see if my Verizon mobile device was supported and it was. It was very user friendly to use their website to find the answer. I set up the router within 30 minutes. I plugged the USB mobile modem into the router but the router could not find the modem. However, in the printed documentation that came with the router it talked about this potential and the need to do a couple of firmware upgrades to fix the problem. The documentation and website walks you right through the process. I did the upgrades and just like that the modem was recognized and I was on the Internet through the Cradlepoint router. I am using a desktop, a netbook and a laptop in our home network, with a mix of Microsoft XP and Windows 7 operating systems. Everything is working well and has been for about a month now, since I bought and set up the router.

Up and running in less than one hour with 1 wired and 2 wireless devices connected. I am very pleased with this USB input wired/wireless router. Do not have to log into the Sprint network anymore it is always on now. Has exceeded my expectations.MBR900 Mobile Broadband N Router

I purchased the MBR900 to work with my Verizon Pantech UMW190 USB Wireless device. I purchased a NEW device which did not function right out of the box; power up problem. The Customer Service department at Cradlepoint was either through an on line chat session or via the telephone for an extra fee. I chose the on line chat session and was prompted to return the device for another one. After waiting 2 weeks, my REFURBISHED device arrived. The REFURB device did work as anticipated. The install was easy enough; plug in the Verizon UMW190 to the USB port and turn on the MBR900. After about 60 seconds, the MBR900 had connected to Verizon's network (solid green led) and I followed the directions to connect to the Internet and to set up the security link to my laptop and desktop. After a rough start, and a REFURBISHED device, my network is up and running.

I've been using Virgin Mobile Wireless in a basement apartment, and the reception was extremely spotty. So I bought the mbr900 and put it on a windowsill with an open view towards towards the closest tower. Problem solved...the speed of the 3G is now much improved. Setup was a snap (about 5 minutes), couldn't be happier.
