Thermodyne case for Sony HVR-A1U

I ordered this case for my Sony HVR-A1U. It is disappointing, as the cutout holes do not fit many of the accessories. For example, the microphone cord does not fit into any of the slots. For it to fit, it would have to be folded in such a manner so as to break down the interior wiring. Also, the hot shoe attachment does not fit anywhere in any of the slots. It is a very solid case, and I feel it would protect the camera quite well, but I will have to alter the interior slots with an Exacto knife so that they fit the camera accessories.
