I bought this bag thinking it would be the last, and still ended up getting the slingshot 100 which has the most uncomfortable strap i have ever used.
Anyway this bag i assure you is exactly what you paid for, its, strong, well balanced, has a place for all kinds of stuff. holds my Pentax K10D with da* 16-50 attached, and 360 flash. sometimes i squeeze the da 50-200 zoom in with them.
The only negative i have found with this bag, is the top cover of the bag has no padding, not sure why lowepro left that out?
As for the top access zipper , it is not really for getting your camera with lens out, but if you need something like a filter or flash.

My best friend has this bag and on our trip across Europe I wanted it more each day. He uses a Nikon D80 and I have a Canon S3. We each have multiple extra lenses, batteries, filters, etc. After looking at every LowePro bag in various shops, the D100 was the perfect size as a shoulder bag and carry on for aviation. The compartments allow for 2 lenses and the third mounted on your camera body. As I don't carry an SLR, I leave a wide-angle mounted and use the extra lense spot to carry a AA battery charger and extra 4 batteries. The rain fly is easy to get on and made a heck of a difference while shooting the Tour de France in the Alpes. The bag is low-key and stealthy - not getting much attention from the wrong people on the Metro. Perfect bag and will never be seen traveling without it!

I accidentally bought this bag instead of the Sling Shot, which has great reviews. Unfortunately I live in Korea and bought the bag at Namdaemun market and it can't be returned...one of the problems of Korea. I assure you it is genuine, in case you wonder (it's always a good question for Asia!)
My problems are:
My Canon Kiss X (Rebel XT) BARELY fits in the bag with a 4" lens on it and it's incredibly difficult to remove it through the "easy access" zipper on the top of the bag.
It's not comfortable to wear, and the slider which goes through the shoulder strap doesn't move easily.
My first time out shooting with it was just annoying and I think I'll end up using it just as a storage case and for travel.
I really want to like this bag, but it doesn't perform well for me!
