Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this stereo!!! The remote features..the ease in operation, the speakers and the fact that its mountable. Was a lil reluctant after reading a few of the reviews but sooooooooooooo glad I took my chances. Up there with one of my best buys with overstock

CD Stereo System

I am completely satisfied with this stereo system. I had purchased a different one from a different vendor that scrached my cd's, but this one workes great. Love the remote control and it was very easy to work. It looks good sitting in my office and the remote makes it very easy to pause when I get a phone call. At the age of 63 I need simplicity, and this one is the best.

A perfect little sound system

I bought this after months of frustration with my old unit not playing the first disk in the tray. I was looking for small, stylish and inexpensive, and this system fit the bill to a T. I love it! It hangs on the wall, fills the room with music, looks great, sounds great--I couldn't be happier with it. A fantastic small-space system. Highly recommended!

This little system puts out a lot of sound. It looks great on the shelf. Its unique design has drawn a lot of attention and compliments. I'd definitely recommend it to a friend.

i was overall pleased with this stereo. But the only downfall is i like it loud and this lacks the high sound quality and doesnt have an eq section to select higher or lower bass etc...

Great Little Stero For The Price!

This stero is great. Once you get it out of the box and attach the speakers that's it. It has a great sound as well. A really good bargin and it sounds good too!

Excellent buy

I really like the sound this machine produces. It is 1/4 smaller than my former cd player and the sound is much better. Ti seems well made. Great looks.

Great Vertical CD Stereo System

This is a great stereo system. Beautiful, contemporary design with excellent sound. Easy to operate, but keep the instruction booklet close by for using advanced functions.

Love this Stereo

I bought this stereo for my mother, who lives in my country in the caribbean, she loves it! I am sooo happy I got this beauty for such a ridiculous price. Everyone has something to say when is time to change a disk and the doors open. Very innovative. The sound is very good.

Nifty little stereo!

I purchased this stereo for my kitchen/patio. I don't use it everyday, but when I do, it sounds just fine. It's not a state-of-the-art sound, but adequite for this area of my home. The price was really reasonable. It is so very cool the way the doors for theCDs open! Like I said, it's a nifty little stereo.

It's good

I got this for my son as a Christmas gift -- he did request it. After receiving it he loves it but is disappointed that he is unable to add more speakers to it.

The sound is good and the plus side is he can play his burned CDs on it.

Zeepalto

Bought this for my husband and when he first saw it he was sceptical, a little too gimmicky with the blue lights and diamond shape. He had to admit very soon that the sound quality was great for our little house, and as gimmicky as the doors are, they're pretty cool. We've named him Zeepalto and welcomed him to our planet. He's turning out to be a good pet.

The item was priced right, arrived quickly, and has an attractive overall look. However, the first evening I used the product the CD portion suddenly began making a loud screeching noise, and the cd player quite. I unplugged the unit and let it set for a day. Today I plugged it back in and it is working fine. I will wait to give my fulll opinion of the product until after I use it multiple times without any problems from any of the conponents.

Excellent

I bought this for my son for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. The sleek, modern design really "jazzes up" any room decor. He has blasted the music (not that I was thrilled about that) and it sounded fabulous. The radio and the 3-disc cd player combination is a must have for any teenager and the teenager at heart. CD player did not work out of the box

Nice sound, good value, but all that is for naught if it does not work. CD player is broken - lots of reviews say the same thing. To bad, slick unit other than that.

3 disc CD stereo system

I bought it for my 16 yr old. He hooked it up to two 15 speakers and it worked out well. But even the system alone sound very clear. And the price was right.

This system rocks

I've had this system for over two weeks now and I can honestly say that I can find no real falts with it. It's great eye candy and the CD doors are just too cool. The only flaw I have found with it is that it lacks the power to blow the windows out of the house. My wife says that's a good thing. What does she know?

Works completely for a short time.

I love the design of this stereo people who have seen it always compliment on how nice it looks. However, I bought it about 1 year ago and it won't play CD'S any more, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, currently it doesn't .Overall I don't recommend it if it's "ONLY" going to work for a short time. I would recommend getting something else.

SDAT Vertical CD Stereo System

I am very pleased with this 3-disc system. It was easy to assemble and has a great sound quality. I like the remote control feature, and it is a favorite with all the people in my office! It has a very unique appearance and is fun to have in my work space.

A great system

I purchased this system last year at Christmas time. I have really enjoyed the sound and the many compliments people have given us on the apperance.
Just recently a friend had stopped by to visit and mentioned she couldn't stop thinking about the great

What a disappoitment

Literally, I didn't even have my new stereo for a week before it stopped playing CD's. Every time I try, it gives me a 'no play' message. I searched and searched on overstock for the right one and how frustrating to finally decide on this one only to be so disappointed and sad about my purchase. I shop overstock and have always been happy with my purchases in the past, but this one….remove it from your inventory PLEASE!!!

Oh and the remote control NEVER worked. Straight from the box, it never worked!

Upscale boom box

I'm very short on space and liked that this unit because it could be wall mounted and not take up much room. But, the sound quality and features really aren't that great. Besides being able to hang it, the best thing it has going for it is the styling. For the price I would have expected a step up in the sound quality.

Great Product

The range of hi-low is amazing compared to what I expected. The player adds a layer of class to the normal cd players with it's doors and blue lighting. Very happy with the purchase.

really catches the eye. bought it for my office. haven't figured out the directions so it currently doesn't cycle thru the CDs or keep shuffling but I think that's because I haven't read the directions.

Beware!

Many features never worked. It would never play more than one CD, but I kept it rather than pay shipping for returns. Then it began stopping in the middle of a CD. Then it would simply not work. It was in the trash can in under a year.

Excellent Buy

I bought this stereo system for my son for his 11th birthday, and it was an amazing hit. The sound is very good for this money, you can hang it on the wall, stand it on its own, it is funky looking (almost futuristic), etc., takes three discs...
I found that my other children were going into his room to listen, which was not at all acceptable to him. I also needed/wanted a stereo for the kitchen for me, and also to accommodate other kids. The purchase was a no brainer - again, not a ton of money, really good sound, looks very presentable, and relatively thin in dimension so worked easily on a counter, or where I have it, on top of my kitchen cabinets.
The only problem, and it is not insignificant, is that the remote is not great. My son's has broken (and he used it almost exclusively from his bed at night), and mine can take a few times to register. This is a pain - but not a stopper. Still, they should improve it.

Stereo Review

I am pleased beyond belief! The setup was a snap. The quality is wonderful! Having the lastest in all computer equipment it's about time I had a stereo system to match. The sleek space age design is outstanding! The only problem is that I am afraid my customers will be more interested in my stereo than in my web design. I can't wait for my husband to see it. I think he will also be very impressed. We might have to buy another one!

Great player

this was exactly what i was looking for as far as the price range goes.. and i wanted something a little different and unique thus the amazing design! i imagined it to look a bit more modern in person but it is def. more of a retro kind of player. i am also missing the ability to set the radio stations so i can just press "1" or "2"... and be able to go to saved radio stations so i don't have to flip through... i haven't found the alarm built in it... yet? i'm still trying to figure it out... there's a lot to it.
i had to have my little brother mount the speakers up on the wall... and really out the whole thing together because i wouldn't have done a good job by myself.
overall though it's a great buy and i def recommend it! :-D

A fantastic buy

I purchased this for my husband for Father's day and boy did I make the right move! This is in our bedroom on an Entertainment stand just under his 42 inch flat screen TV. He is in heaven and we both agree the sound is great! My favorite feature is the remote control and the way the CD player opens. It looks like a space craft. Love it - love it!

Great small CD player!

I was looking for a new CD player for my office, and I didn't want it to take up a lot of desk space. This player fit the bill. It was easy to set up, plays 3 CDs, has a remote that is easy to use, and has good sound for a desktop player. All around a good machine, and I would buy again.

Great sound system

I really like this product, especially with the anticipation of buying such an investment online. It has a great look to it and the quality of the sound is excellent. Burned CD's sound great on it, and the instructions were very easy to follow to assemble and begin use.

do not buy this stereo!

I bought this stereo system 6 or 7 months ago, and am getting ready to throw it away . First of all, some of the advertised features (such as random play and continuous play) never worked from the start. I just didn't want to send it back and pay shipping, handling, and restocking fees. Then, a few monhs later, the CDs would only play for a few minutes, and then stop. I even cleaned the lenses, hoping that it would help. Eventually, it stopped working all together. The only thing that's still functional is a radio. Not good enough!! It looks cool, but what a waste of money!! Very poor quality. It even feel flimzy, like it's made of paper, or something.

Horrible

I try not to be negative, but this purchase was a huge disappointment. This item worked about 3 times, and then for no apparent reason, just quit altogether. I've tried everything, and I haven't kept the box. I am throwing it away. What a waste.

vertical CD player

If nothing else be said, its fun to watch the "butterfly doors" open. The unit looks and sounds as described with advertisement and the blue lighting looks awesome.
I thought it would be a better unit with a treble and base control to round out the sound, but it was still a deal for the price.

Stero system

I bought this stero system for my kids last year. I was very happy with the quality of the sound and the ease in which to use it. After giving it some time to make sure all was well with the system, I then purchased one for myself. Again, very happy with the entire system. It can be used on a shelf or hang it on the wall, which is a great feature to those of use with limited shelf space.

Nice wake up alarm

Very cool looking and very colorful when on. The only bad thing is after a couple of months, one of the cd players stopped working, but I still have the other two. It is a great alarm which I like because I can use my own music to wake up to. After you read the directions, working it is a snap.

Great! -When it used to work- Buy the Warranty

I bought this unit and loved it . I have a massage practice and loved that it was silent between CD changes - just a whisper quiet whir. It lasted slightly over 6 months and then stopped in mid-session - never to play again. All CD heads refuse to rotate and I notice a smokey smell coming out of the back. They never seem to work right again once you let the smoke out of them. A real disappointment - Overstock should rethink this one.

Great product!

I bought this item for my teenage daughter as a Xmas gift. This is a very nice looking system packed full of great features. Less than 30 days after we purchased th stereo system it just stopped working for no reason what so ever! I had read other reviews on this product prior to purchasing it and the same thing had happened to them. Because of this I had purchased an extended warranty. When I contacted Overstock support they were very helpful. Because it was less than 30 days the product was still under the overstock warranty. They sent me out a new system and then sent me a return auth for the old system. I did not have to pay a dime in shipping! This is a great stereo system, but if purchased get the extended warranty (for piece of mind)!

So far, very happy.

We bought this for our teenage daughter, who listens to her music from sun up to sun down. She seems to really enjoy it, loves the sleep-timer feature and remote control. It sounds pretty good, too. It's not your top-of-the line stereo system, but for a teenager, it's fine. It's very modern looking, which is great for her. We haven't mounted it on the wall yet, which is why we bought it for her--to save space in her room. But it also looks good sitting on her desk. So far, we're very happy.

Big Sound in a small unit

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She is an audiophile with an excellent ear. She said she heard more in the music than she'd ever heard listening to the same music on other systems.
Funky look to the stereo, not bulky at all, speakers look larger on website, but they are compact without sacrificing sound.
I love the ease of use and affordability.

EXCITED THEN DISAPPOINTED

I BOUGHT THIS STEREO IN MID-AUGUST AND I WAS EXTREMELY EXCITED AFTER SETTING IT UP, IT HAS POWERFUL SOUND ETC.. IT WAS PRETTY FLASHY AND UNIQUE AT FIRST WITH LIGHTS HUGE SPEAKERS. HOWEVER, IN ABOUT MID-DECEMBER THE CD PLAYER WOULDNT POWER UP OR EVEN SPIN ANYMORE, THUS MEANING MY CDS WERE OF NO USE ON IT. THE PROBLEM IS OBVIOUSLY THAT THE STEREOS ENGINEERING IS TOO POWERFUL FOR NO REASON AT ALL, BECAUSE ALTHOUGH IT HAS DECENT QUALITY, ITS LIFE-SPAN PROVES TO BE QUITE SHORT. I RECOMEND THAT PPL INTERESTED THINK TWICE ABOUT SUCH AN OFF BRAND......STICK TO SOMETHING TRUSTWORTHY LIKE SONY, BCAUSE ITS BETTER OFF IN THE LONG RUN

Broken within three months

This thing is pretty obviously over-engineered with too many features and too many flashing lights. It didn't surprise me at all that it went on the fritz after a couple of months and then finally died. It powers up, and then flashes all kinds of lcd messages but now the cd players won't power up and spin. My son is now the proud owner of a $100.00 plus radio with mediocre sound, blue lights and opening doors.

I will never go with an off brand again. Too risky.

Nice Price/Sound need's improvement

I bought this system Oct 19, 2006 and it arrived on the 23rd. Prompt service, arrived in perfect condition. A great buy, the only issue is the sound. The sound is not the best if you are looking for it to travel through the house, but it is ok for a bedroom as long as you don't turn it up all the way.

Great Product

terrific

This is a great little stereo system. I have recieved many compliments on this item. The lighting is very cool, and the way that the cd door opens is very unique. I do like my music loud, so for me it doesnot go as loud as I like, but
that is a personal preference. The set up is so easy, and works great with wireless speakers. Buy this item with confidence it is well worth it.

Excellent buy

I bought this for my daughter. While I don't get to play with it as much and test all the features I was very happy with my selection. I am NOT an impulsive buyer and thoroughly look and compare before I buy. This stereo was very competative w/many other brand name stereos out there. It looks totally awsome (yes I grew up in the 80's) and the doors are too cool and the soft blue light is soothing in the dark. My daughter really loved it and my son really wants one too. The sound quality is average. Not overly booming (if youre looking for that - yet perfect if you aren't) but has a pretty clean sound when cranked up. It's additional features are a bonus and my daughter uses the timer turn off when going to bed at night. It arrived quickly and in good shape. She has had it for about 2 weeks only, but so far so good. I love my choice (over others I looked at for the price range) and would recommend this item to anyone!

FINALLY - A RADIO that WORKS!

I work in a bi-level office building. My office is downstairs. I have tried four other radio systems in an effort to get a particular station. This is the first one that actually allowed me to tune in my favorite morning show. I am truly thrilled with this system. It's hard for me to rate the sound as I am in a business office so I never turn it up louder than 8. I feel like it was a little bigger than I wanted. However, the wall mounting directions are idiot proof and all the hardware is included. So, I will probably be putting it on the wall soon.

I should also mention that I get tons of compliments on the look of the system. I wouldn't be suprised if some of my co-workers end up purchasing the same thing.

I really think this was worth the money. I am truly pleased with the whole process.

Individualist

I use this product on my office desk at work, and so many co-wokers stop and say "what is that, is that a radio". Works great for a small office space and makes for a great conversation piece. It has a great sound that I can only turn up to 5 otherwise it is heard through the hallway.

CD Player Review

It is a great looking CD System. I like that I can put it on a cabinet or hang it on the wall. It is small enough to put anywhere and it looks great. You don't have to hide it, it can be the center of attention. I like the lights on it.
It sounds great which is the most and best part. I love the remote and all the features on it. I would buy this for a gift for anyone on my list and know they will love it.

Great for CD's but no go for AM

The player looks great and does well with CD's and FM. However AM quality is worst ever and is unlistenable - so cannot be used for news or sports. The timer is a great feature as I use the player as a clock radio so I can wake to stereo. However the pre-installed speaker wires were too short so I am using another set of speakers that I had. Also the sound quality from the provided speakers is only average, but with my own higher quality speakers the sound is excellent for such a small unit. Overall, I'm glad I bought it.

Where's the Bass?

Stereo arrived promptly and well packaged, thanks. I'm a little disappointed with the LCD as you can barely see the numbers. Unfortunately, there is no dim/bright switch on this product. Stereo is lacking bass but it's not bad for the price.

WOW!

That's all I can say. I read the reviews and everyone was right. This thing is great, sounds incredible, and looks sooo cool. It has a sleep timer, on timer, and other little things. Of course the sound is really incredible for what it is. I'm am really happy with my choice.

Unique Sound System

I just received this CD player and I'm impressed
with it's performance. Not only does put out good sounds, it's a good conversation piece.
The ability to mount this on the wall is a good feature. It doesn't take up any table space. I was so impressed that I jumped on line and tried to purchase a second one, but their "out of stock". What a shame. Enjoy!
