Sony MDR-DS1000 Headphones

First, I am a professional Musician and Videographer and have been my entire life. I am 47.
I own tons of great gear, recording studio and many different headphones. I am SO DISAPPOINTED in these DS1000 headphones I'm on hear to inform and warn you.
I know what I'm talking about here and I will save your pocket book and your anger at the end.
First, these headphones are the most awful pair I have ever come across. They cannot, I repeat CANNOT handle any deep bass what so ever. When i listen to music/movies I love deep bass and great tone. The included amp puts out NO lows, not enough. So to give this more bass, I ended up connecting a great Receiver. Optical from dvd player to the Sony Amp. Then a stereo 1/8 to RCA cable out of the Sony Amp into the receiver. Trust me, this would be killer IF the headphones were any good. NOPE it cannot handle the bass. Very poor quality!

I have never seen so poor headphones. Honestly, it has a very cheap plastic; I mean the material it was made of. When I first time took it in my hands the first thought that came out of my mind was " What did you spend a $100 bucks for, IDIOT!!!!!). Secondly, I didn't feel any difference with or without the digital processor (such a waste of money!!!). DO NOT BUY IT. I urge you to go to BESTBUY first and take a look at it ( my mistake, I did not do it).
