The Package

The Palm is great in itself, but when it arrived there were not any instructions or directions included. I had a tough time at the beginning because I did not know how long to charge it or if it was already charged. The palm I ordered said that it was an open box, but it did not come in it's original box at all, just a brown cardboard one.

Great Organizer

I received this product in great condition. It has everything I need to keep up with contacts and keep tract of our families many activities. It was easy to start using immediately. I have had a little problem down loading the spreadsheet info because we have Vista. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs to keep tract of their busy life.

great product

I really enjoy my Palm Tungsten although a users manual would have been nice.It installed easily and works great for my needs. It also has a lot of extra features that are great.

Great purchase

This is the first Palm I have owned. The Tungsten E2 is excellent and easy to use. I was hesitant to buy the open box/refurbished one but it works without any problems or defects. I am starting to download additional programs for it and so far it has been an easy process!

fine so far

I have had my E2 for 1 month now and I love it so far. It is a great organizational tool, the mp3 player feature is great, and the photo resolution is excellent. I am quite pleased with it.

Third time was the charm

I had to return two "refurbished" versions and ordered an "open box" version of the Palm Tungsten II to finally get one that worked. The customer service chats were satisfactory and fairly amusing at times. My wife is happy with it, so I guess it was worth it for her. Not sure I will try ordering "refurbished" electroinic items again, though.

Tungsten E2 PDA

Great PDA! Upgraded from a very trustworthy Zire 31 for the additional memory but now love many more features and the look. I have friends who bought refurbished E2s and keep have complete failure problems so definitely buy the extra protection plan as I did. I have not had any problems with mine though.

not rave, but good

I had one, it died, I needed a new one but wanted the same type. Glad you had it available. Technology isn't the latest and greatest, but it is fine for what I need and it does what I want.

For my husband

I bought this originally for my husband, but actually he isn't using it so I am. I love the size and ease of use. I had trouble installing programs on to this because of my own lack of knowledge, but overall I am quite happy with it. I bought it based off reader reviews and it seemed like it was a middle of the road not too fancy type of product. I am mostly using it for my work as an RN and look up labs, diagnoses, and other information pertaining to healhtcare. It is also very helpful to keep my schedule and calendar updated. Two thumbs up.

Handy PC

I am a writer with carpal tunnel syndrome. The PDA is the perfect cure for me. I can literarlly type my novel on it. It isn't perfect, but I can use the "pen" and write on the screen in longhand, and it is transfered to typing charcters (the letter forms take a while to get used to, but it's very useful, once you get the hang of it). I also speak & write in both spanish and french, and accents are easier with this even than with my pc.

Also, there are simple little games (and a few you can download for free), calander, . . .it's very useful, and not horrificially expensive.

I will say that The screen calibration isn't all right, and it doesn't always translate well (from stylus to characters on screen) but in it's defence, I use it CONSTANTLY, probably if you use it only say 30 min a day, and while sitting appropriately at a desk, it will keep working better.

But even with it's less than perfect translations, it's terribly useful.

Palm

I like the palm pilot, but I didn't realize when I got it that it was refurbished and not new. I expected it to be in better condition. It was scratched, the protective case was cracked, it didn't come in the original box, and it had no manual. Also, I can't get it to sync wirelessly with my computer which is one of the things I really wanted it to do!

PalmOne Tungsten E2

Very convenient and handly. It is easy to enter data, great for contacts, appointments, tasks, alarm, birthdays, reminders, etc.

I love it and I am very happy with it.

Also is GPS compatible

I bought my E2 several years ago after my last PDA broke. My search criteria was based on expandability to use with various software and hardware. Specifically I wanted a GPS compatible PDA and Palm makes a kit, complete with software and hardware, that uses Tom Tom. I found an "open box" GPS kit for an additional $105 online (price may vary). It has worked flawlessly with the GPS and as a pocket-friendly PDA. Only glitch I know of is that you should close out of the solitaire game and return to the main menu before powering down as I found the PDA sometimes won't boot back up properly, requiring a reset. A big plus over my last PDA is that the data isn't lost if you let the battery die, so no need to reload off your PC.

Something is missing

This has more features than I realized. And I am very pleased with the display. But there was no instruction manual and not all my questions were answered by the download. If this is not your first one, you will probably have an easier time figuring how to navigate and what to do when you get there. Since this was an open box and not a used product, I did expect to have all the information and maybe the box.

Palm Tungsten E2

I am very happy with my purchase. I had some problems with the first hotsync, because I had a previous version loaded on my computer. However I called Palm and they walked me through backup, uninstall and reinstall of new software. Once I did that everything was perfect. This was my first purchase from Overstock.com and I would recommend shopping with them first.

Software a little screwy

The product I recieved was great, however the software that was supposed to allow the transfer of Word and Excel documents is no where to be found. Other than that one thing, this was a great deal.

Replacing my Palm Tungsten T3

Had a T3 where the battery was failing. Was able to plug the E2 into my PC and then downloaded everything smoothly...no issues (since software was already up to date).
This was a really smooth transfer of data...glad I did it.
Screen works well, easy to enter data.
2-part sync/recharger is something I'm getting used to....

Palm Pilot

Ease of use of palm pilot was fine, however, I have not been able to get the unit to HotSync. I have read and reread the instructions, visited the websites and still have had no luck in getting the unit to HotSync. At this point I am very unhappy with it's performance.

tungsten E2

Love the product! I had a Tungsten E for 4 years which I found indispensable, and then the battery died. Moved up to a Tungsten E2. They are very comparable in performance. However, the Tungsten E had a feature that was wonderful and the E2 doesn't. On the E, when you went to find something, it came up with the date. On the E2, that feature comes up with the name, but no date. This is a big drawback, expecially when I want to check for a previous appointment. I also find that you have to press a number of times before something reacts. Other than those issues, the product is wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone. It is easy to use, and easy to learn. Also,
it came in a few days after ordering exactly as they said it would. Overall - great service, and great product!

Great product!

I bought this palm for my husband so he can get organized. It is like instant magic. He can now remember activities and engagements, enter info in real time, and loves the gift! It is a great price and a great organizational tool. Time will tell how it holds up, and I bought the 2 yr warranty.

Tungsten E2 PDA

My order came promptly and was in excellent condition. If it had been used before, you could not tell. It was very easy to load the software and get up and running almost immediately. After having a PDA I don't know how I could live without one and this model (Tung. E2) is exactly what I need.

Palm

I received this as a Christmas gift and absolutely love it. I just wanted something to keep my appointments in and stuff like that and it serves the purpose quite well. I had an older model in the past. I have had no problems with it at all.

Good product

I got this for my husband for Christmas. He loves it and all the features. It was real easy to learn how to use it and the additional SD card slot was great.

Handheld PDA

Very easy to use, I was able to start using the PalmOne Tungsten E2 PDA Handheld right out of the box. I have had no difficulties loading company software to the unit. Everything flows as well as you could possably want

My PALM WAS DEFFECTIVE

Palm was easy to install and use, and the features are great, but after about 3 weeks of use it started malfunctioning. It is a possibility that because I ordered a open box it is only the one that is defective.

What I expected nothing more, nothing less

At the time I purchased the device I wasn't thinking about using it with the wireless network at home or at work... good thing, very limited wireless ability.

But as far as doing things a palm does well this does it.

This was a replacement for an older model. Better screen, more memory. Good solid device, in hindsight it would be nice if it was compatible with the wireless system. Still have to check the website to see if the company has a software upgrade.

PDA

I bought this PDA for Christmas for my husband. It took him forever to get it to load anything , then it would not save anything. He has worked out most the bugs BUT then reason I bought this was so he could load the scriptures onto it and not have to carry them with him. We cannot find any reader that will work. This is very frustrating. He has spent mornign till night on line with this product. the website we were directed to did not help.

Great Handeld

This Palm is great if you are looking strictly for an organizer with few modern addons. The calendar is fantastic and easy to use. If you are looking for something to surf the web with, take pictures, or do some serious music listening...This is not the item for you.

Good product if it came with a manual...

I recently purchased this product as a gift for someone. I didn't realize that it did not come with a manual when I purchased it. The manual is over 600 pages long and I could not possibly waste that much ink downloading and printing it.

Just the features I need, none I don't

I was replacing a previous unit ( another tungsten ) where the screen had stopped functioning. The unit I purchased from Overstock came with all the correct parts and software. The only difficulty was in the installation, A conflict developed between the older unit and the newer one ( my fault, I did not change the user ID and only one unit can have any specified user ID). This caused me to lose all my contact information and calendar information from both units. Palm provided support and walked me through resolution of the conflict for free despite my unit having been previously sold. Aside from the loss of the data the unit itself is functioning well and has all the features I use daily. It runs Epocrates easily and has a great screen to show off mini versions of my favorite pictures of my dogs and my hot rod. Great overall unit, with good features that meet my needs without me paying for a bunch of other features I neither need nor use!

Tungsten E2

I bought a refurbished product...I cannot get it to sync with my lap top. In order to get assistance from Palm I have to pay $25.00 because I do not have the warranty due to it not being new. I would not recommend buying a refurbished one due to that very reason.

Great Product!

I purchased the palmOne Tungsten E2 PDA Handheld Open Box . I was a little anxious about purchasing a previously used item, not knowing if the product would include all accessories. The price was excellent so I took a chance.

Palm Tungsten E2

I had a prior Pam Tungsten E2 which was 1 yr old and water damaged. This was a replacement. The transition was really seamless and the new Palm came with added features. The shipping was rapid and the price affordable.

You got to get this

This E2 PDA is fantastic. I was sceptical atbout purchasing it, but now that I have it and use it on a daily basis, I love it. It does everything it promises to do with great ease. It is the perfect size to fit in your pocket or purse. And it is easy to use and the screen is easy to read at a glance without my glasses. Get One!

not told it was used

When I got it I found out it was used which I was not informed about when I purchased it. It works fine but just something that could be more visible when buying any product from overstock.com

Tungsten E2

This product was delivered swiftly to my home and has helped me become much more organized. I was not sure I could give up the paper calendar I kept, but I did and I love the Palm!

Kind of surprised

I purchased the above Palm Tungsten E2 PDA at a very appealing price. However, to my surprise when the item was opened up, there were stickers all over it stating that it was a used item. This certainly was not made clear in the web page where I purchased it. I probably would not have purchased it knowing that to be the case. However, so far the item is working very well and I will keep it.

Palm PDA

I love it. I use to carry a day planner everywhere I went which was bulky. Now I have this small easy to use PDA. The software makes the sync process very easy and a great way to back up my PDA if something should happen to it. With the power saver, I could go two weeks without putting it on the charger.
