Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: great sound with lots of options
Cons: nothing
I am not real knowledgeable about putting electronics together. This one was easy and very rewarding to hear the great sound. The subwoofer performs as I hoped. I have a small space but the sound makes it feel bigger.

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Wish the woofer box was a bit smaller.
This home theater system is so easy to set-up and program! Bose is the best in the business for audio products. I was considering the lesser of these systems, but the programmable remote and more power sold me on this one. You will not be disappointed if you buy this system. Remarkable sound from small speakers. Will enhance your tv watching experience ten-fold!!

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: AMAZINGLY CRISP GREAT CLARITY. AWESOME BASS
Cons: Absolutely NOTHING!
I purchased and heard sound bars from Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, LG and Klipsch and this product by far tops all of those brands for a small home theater system. Even though the Klipsch sound bar and sub package may be competitive with this product I this this particular Bose Cinemate GS II system is a lot CLEANER and the QUALITY OF SOUND by far beats the rest of its competition in its class. I know I sound like a Bose employee or salesman but I'm just a customer that loves home audio and that enjoys clean crisp sounds that comes in small compact designs.

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: Very small footprint, easy to set up and simple to use
Cons: Well, it could have a lower cost.
The system took me less than one hour to hook up and start using and that including assembling the floorstands for the gemstone speakers. The bass module went behind the television base and only the stands with the gemstones are seen. There is one power cord to plug in and one audio "in" line from the TV. This was a gift and the recipient was absolutely amazed at the difference this made in their television, DVD and AppleTV watching experience. Yes, there are better sounding 5 or 6 channel systems with extensive wiring and speaker mounting, but this system gives 80% or more of the effect with 20% or less of the footprint and work. Unless you are an Audiophile with the utmost in performance demands, this is a great and simple system worth consideration. I have been a Bose fan >35 years.

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: Room filling quality sound with a compact design, Very easy setup
Cons: No auto-on feature when starting the tv
My HDMI switching failed on my receiver again, so I decided to rip out my whole 5.1 system. It was time for simplification and a fresh look at sound options. I even used my TV speakers for a bit to cleanse my listening.

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: Easy to set up, Great Value
Cons: Flimsy Optical Cable, No On-Screen Volume Info, Mid-Range Lacks Depth
I had to replace my dying A/V receiver so I thought it would be a good opportunity to down scale my current set up. Since I would have probably spent the same amount of money on a receiver that I did on these speakers I didn't have a problem forking out the money for this system. I have read many reviews that state that this system is pricey, however, I disagree. The quality of the sound that you get from this system exceeds the the $799.00 price tag. I spent considerably more than that on my original set up and the Bose system just sounds a whole lot better.

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: Better sounding movies. Great bass.
Cons: Very expensive
There is no doubt about it: these speakers sound WAY better than the speakers that are built into the TV. Great for movies. The rich bass tones really improve the movie experience. For listening to music (Pandora and other music apps on the TV), these speakers are okay, but not something that anaudiophile would recommend.

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: simplicity, sound, size, looks
Cons: price
I just replaced an old Philips 5.1 home theater set up with these. I always had a hard time hearing movies on the Philips. Maybe because we downloaded them? Anyway I would use the TV speakers instead and I would hear what they were saying. The TV sounded OK. So I sprung for these and so glad I did. I think they sound a world better than my old Philips 5.1 system and of course the cheese TV speakers. So simple compared to all the crazy speaker cables everywhere and holes in my walls to mount the rear speakers and the ugly speaker stands for the fronts. These speakers are so small and sit on my entertainment system. The whole package to set up took me like 10 minutes and I was done. It took me longer removing all the 5.1 stuff.

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: The sound is incredible. Easy hookup & ready to use in minutes.
Cons: The base is somewhat bulky.
This system was puchased to replace an older Bose unit that we had for years. We looked at other brands but the quality and price of the Bose Home Entertainment System that we bought surpassed the others. Very easy to connect to other devices and we had it up in running in no time. Highly recommended product if you want a great sounding system and a very reasonable price!!

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: Easy to set up , Cords are not everywhere
Cons: Bass control on back of Sub unit , expensive mounts
I bought a new 70 inch tv and needed a new sound system. Looked into all different soundbars , and wired system up to 5.1. I ended up seeing these in store and then read some reviews. The quality difference between these and the regular 599.99 version is pretty big in my opinion. The Lows and highs on both are great but the GS system has great mids which result in nice clear dialogue. The best part next to sound is the lack of cords all in back , in walls, under carpet. A nice clean setup is great. My only complaints is the bass control is on the back of the sub so if you want to change that then you have to manually change it on back of unit. I keep mine set at about 70% and its great. The other downfall is you just get the two speakers so if you want stands for them which is shown in many photos they are 100 dollars for a set of two. They are heavy and high quality but it is costly for just some metal stands. Overall im blown away with this product and couldnt be happier with the price including the stands when i hear the level of sound this system gives. Dont be fooled the speakers are small but in the case of Bose .. Smaller is Better!

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: Very easy to set up and user-friendly universal remote
Cons: nothing, it exceeded my expecatations
I had originally planned on going with the Bose CineMate Series II, but when I spoke with a Best Buy associate, the thing that sold me on paying the difference was the universal remote. It is easy to set up, and also to program all components together. The speakers are more compact and sleeker designed that with the base CineMate series. If you are using more than one component, this is the system for you! don't let the price scare you away, it is well worth the difference.

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: easy to set up
Cons: does not sound as good as in store
This is a very good option for someone who doesn't want the equipment or price that goes along with a full surround sound system. The subwoofer is really great to have for movies! It definitely gives a home theater feel. The only thing I don't like is that you always have to have two remotes--one for the tv and one for the sound system. Because of this, we tend to only use the Bose speakers for movies or our favorite shows and just the regular tv speakers for other programs.

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: Realisitic sound in a small package
Cons: Pricey
Love these speakers! So clear and powerful! Easy set up and they look great. Very compact and non intrusive. I bought the floor stands to put them on and they compliment my new Sony TV. Highly recommend them if you can swing the price!

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: great sound, easy setup
This system is absolutely perfect. It's so easy to set up and sounds great! It's amazing that such good quality sound comes out of 2 small speakers! The speakers are placed at the corners of my plasma so there is no wires to be hidden in walls , etc.. Very compact.<br />The remote controlls all my electronics and works great.

Bose® CineMate® GS Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: Easy to install
Cons: The cables are not long enough
If you do not wish to have the full blown surround sound experience then this is the system for you. It is fully integrated into one sleek unit. I installed this into a motorhome and it rocks. Excellent sound quality from CD's, HD TV, and my Apple TV. My only complaint is the cables are not standard and therefore you are limited in application/location. I could have used another 10' but had to settle. All-in-all I love it and would certainly do it all over again.
