Purchased to put in a 20x16 billiards room. Have it paired with a set of bookshelf PSB's and JBL's with a Sony stereo receiver. Sound has exceeded my expectations for the price. Sub adds needed base to smaller size bookshelfs. Looks nice, is well built, and sounds great for [$]. Only complaint is the spring load speaker jacks...could use bananna's or larger gauge inputs at least.Another positive buying experience with J and R. Many thanks!

I bought this affordable sub-woofer to supplement my YSP5100 Yamaha soundbar. The "thump" that it delivers greatly enhances our Blu-Ray movie experience and adds significantly to our viewing pleasure. We now share a true "movie theater" experience. My only negative remark about this product is the awkward placement of its on/off button, which is located in the rear of this unit.

I was skeptical because of the low price, but the specs looked good, so I took a chance. The sub arrived in about three days and I'm very pleased. Good looking design, and great, tight bass. My listening room is 16'x 20', with 13 foot ceilings and this unit fills in the bottom beautifully! For the price, you won't be disapointed. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

I added this as a second subwoofer to my home theater system. This is a powerful subwoofer at a great price. It features a power switch, volume control and high cut switch. The sound quality is great. Deep powerful wall trembling base. It's so strong that I have to turn down the volume at times. It's got more than enough power and then some. I have no complaints. I definitely recommend it.

This Subwoofer sounds great with my older Yamaha component system. I have 1 pr. of DCM speakers & 1 pr. of Yamaha speakers on the other side of a 20x20 Den..It was lacking a bit in bass. This sub has made a big difference without spending a fortune...You can't go wrong with Yamaha. I've never been unhappy with anything they make!

This Yamaha subwoofer is a solid performer and a good value for the price. On the downside it is a box covered in a cheap black faux wood laminate material. While not the most attractive component, style wise, it is a solid performer for the price. I would recommend it.

This is a great product, I get plenty of bass from the subwoofer, and the volume is only set on 2 of 10, I am a fan of the Yamaha brand.

Very nice sub for a non-audiophile. This thing is sleek looking and is a breeze to set up. The only con I have is that it has trouble keeping up with a powerful system. Mine developed a slight rattle when hitting the base to hard but I probably just punched a sub of this price a little hard! I would buy it again.

This is a great sub and a great value for the price. I have the sub hooked to my Panasonic 5.1 system in my shop and it sounds really nice. I also play my ipod thru the amp and the sub really compliments the music. I am well satisfied with the Yamaha subwoofer and I believe you will be satisfied as well.

I already had a subwoofer that was detoriarating in sound output and I got this. This is not the top of the line but performs satisfactorily in my basement theater. The walls reverberate with deep sounds and is great of 3D action. I am glad that I didn't have to spend 100s of dollars to get the effect.

I bought this sub because of all the reviews but when i got it and plugged it in its sounds like a piece of crap. The bass is wayyyy to muddy. If you like deep bass in your music this sub is NOT for you. It looks like a well be selling this sub

Needed to replace my 8yr old Polk Audio Sub, didn't need anything high end to add a bit of base while enjoying a movie. This Yamaha is perfect.

Seems like a good product for a small room (mine is 12x16ft). I just listened to some piston propeller planes fly by in "The Aviator" and some musical performances off an HDCD encoded CD and am pretty happy with the purchase. I'm not an audiophile, but I suppose the sound could be clearer, but hey - this this was only ~$100 so what could I really expect. I does the job for me.

I bought this to replace/upgrade my blown home theater Sub. This one puts out so much more bass I have to turn it down. I can't see how I could ever blow this one. I'm very happy with the purchase and would recommend this Sub to anyone.

My NHT (now hear this) that I used for with my Home Theatre system blew out. So i decided to give this system a chance and boy am i impress. This system is clearly giving the bass reflex systems a run for their money within its class. My great room is 400 square feet and this system handles the space real well. Regret and failure is not in the same sentence when it comes to this subwoofer. Buy it!
