Klipsch SW-450 10-Inch 450watt Subwoofer (Black)
Pros: Deep, deep rumble
Cons: n/a
I bought this unit to supplement my other Klipsch speakers (dual 8" KF-28's, RB-51 II's, and RC-42 II) and I have to say that I'm COMPLETELY in love with the sound this sub has. I'm using an Onkyo TX-NR609 AV receiver. This sub rumbles, deeeeep. I haven't stopped watching movies, listening to music, etc. because it sounds so great. My walls are literally, shaking. It took me about 10 minutes to set it up and about 20 minutes to adjust all the levels to my liking. This sub, by far, is the best I've ever owned. I also own an old Klipsch Pro Media Ultra 5.1 and 2.1 setup for my PC. I'm extremely happy with all of my Klipsch products, but this latest addition to the family has me absolutely content. I'm finding myself watching all of my movies all over again, because the sub makes everything sound completely different.

Klipsch SW-450 10-Inch 450watt Subwoofer (Black)
I am very impressed with this subwoofer. I've had a CerwinVega LW-12 for the last 10 years and didn't think this was enough to replace it. Well I was wrong. This thing really has good low output without distortion. I'm very pleased

Klipsch SW-450 10-Inch 450watt Subwoofer (Black)
Pros: Deeeep bass sound.
Cons: It's a bit bulky, but manageable.
Bought this product a month ago, and am really happy with it. Deep humming bass that can tremble your wall fixtures. Easy to customize and great for watching action movies or listening to your rock and roll.

Klipsch SW-450 10-Inch 450watt Subwoofer (Black)
Pros: Easy setup, simple controls on rear of unit
Cons: Nothing yet
Last November I started piecing together my surround sound. I have a Denon 1912 head unit, and the full Klipsch surround sound offered by Best Buy. The system sounded great even when I was using my old Sony Sub from a boxed set I had previously. I finally finished my set this week with the Klipsch SW-450. I have a 500 square foot room, and this unit fills it with more bass than it can hold. If you are watching a movie and have too much bass, you can easily adjust the settings on the back of the unit. I watched my first movie on the full surround last night, and it honestly sounds as good or better than going to the movies!

Klipsch SW-450 10-Inch 450watt Subwoofer (Black)
Pros: The level of sound compression and depth of Bass in totally awesome
Cons: Nothing.
I have been shopping for a bass system and stereo surround sound for several months and listened to multiple systems and none compare to the sound quality and output from this Bass Speaker. It's is clear, fills the room extremely well and is extremely immersive. Great job Klipsch.

Klipsch SW-450 10-Inch 450watt Subwoofer (Black)
Pros: Good power, good sound response
Cons: Blue LED is bright
Sounds great at lower than 85Hz. A little motor-boaty at higher frequencies. I'm running it as a sub, along with 2 full-range towers, 10's, 6's, and 1" softdomes @ 140 Watts. I used a Y-adapter for L & R inputs and noticed more output as compared to a single LFE RCA cable. I'm running gain a little higher, but low-pass around 70 Hz and it sounds great. My neighbor's love it!

Klipsch SW-450 10-Inch 450watt Subwoofer (Black)
Pros: Looks and compatibility
Cons: Haven't figured out yet
I already had the Klipsch (bi-amped) towers, the Klipsch center (front) speakers, and the Klipsch rear surrounds running my home theater system, but my 20 year old MTX 400 watt powered sub wasn't cutting it, which is the reason I went to the 10 inch Klipsch sub. Upon initial play, the sub was too "boomy" and overpowered the entire home theater system. I started tweaking my cross-overs to allow the sub to kick in only above 120 MHz on the surrounds, and over 150 MHz on the front speakers. That made all the difference in the world. On certain types of music, the sub is extremely subtle and almost undiscernible, but on other types the sub is definitely there. As a final test, I played the movie "Salt" with Angelina Jolie. During the chase scene where Jolie escapes from the transport, the sub showed its true worth. When the cars and trucks crash into each other, it felt as if my couch lifted off the ground, and all the pictures on my walls needed to be realigned. Incredible... but extremely clean and tight. This is an excellent sub.

Klipsch SW-450 10-Inch 450watt Subwoofer (Black)
Pros: The power! It's earth shattering!
Cons: Neighbors who complain that I make their windows rattle!
I bought this subwoofer on the recommendation of the sales person, and from my past experience with the Klipsch speaker system I used to have for my home P.C. I use this sub for mostly movies. It rocks the house with super clean lows that make your bones buzz from ten feet away! Its small compared to a few other subwoofer's I looked at, and the price was roughly the same plus this sub's power output was higher!<br />My last words; Buy this Klipsch subwoofer, you won't be disappointed!

Klipsch SW-450 10-Inch 450watt Subwoofer (Black)
Pros: Great sound quality - deep and rich
Cons: nothing
I have been a Klipsch fan for many years. I strayed a few years ago and purchased another brand (a new an up and comer brand). The sub died after a few years. I returned to Klipsch and now have three subs in various rooms in my house. The other two are over 10 years old and still kicking. This new one is the star of the show. Great sound and very responsive. I would recommend it to anyone.

Klipsch SW-450 10-Inch 450watt Subwoofer (Black)
Pros: great thumping base..vibrates my chair across the room.
Cons: needs better footing..has a tendency of walking across the floor on its own.
this sub rocks, added the 5.1 surround speakers to go with the sub woofer, same brand...like to keep all my speakers in the same family. i had to get some 2 way sticky foam tape, just to put a small peice under each floor footing, over the rubber foots that come with it...why you ask...well to keep the sub from walking out my front door on its own..yes thats right...it thumps so load, the vibration alone slowly walks the speaker across my floor. i have a hard woood floor too, but when the base is hitting hard, it starts walking across the floor..thats why i had to tape it to the floor with doable sided foam tape...its really an awsome sub, plus the suround speakers too.

Klipsch SW-450 10-Inch 450watt Subwoofer (Black)
Pros: Performance
Cons: Nothing
Purchased this Klipsch 10&quot; 450W Powered Subwoofer for my home theater system/audio system. Although I had concerns that the 10&quot; speaker might be sluggish for my music listening over the 8&quot; unit, I am quite pleased with the performance. I get fine response from classic rock/contemporary/blues music to classical baroque. I get the thunder of explosions to an accurate reproduction of a double bass. Not boomy, This supplements my studio floor speakers. You adjust both frequency and volume levels at the Klipsch sub to match your existing system and room accoustics, as well as where you place the Klipsch. With this in mind, and a little patience, I highly recommend this one!.

Klipsch SW-450 10-Inch 450watt Subwoofer (Black)
Pros: Sound Quality
This powered sub woofer provides a rich deep bass. If your worried about purchasing a sub woofer that wont make windows shake then make sure you take a look at this one.

Klipsch SW-450 10-Inch 450watt Subwoofer (Black)
Pros: Power , clarity, aesthetics
Cons: Creaks and rattles at first when being broke in. Break in takes a while. Stupid blue light on front when its on.
When I got this sub, I was a bit apprehensive due to the reviews of &quot;Dead on arrival&quot; or &quot;distorts at high volumes&quot;.... When I first plugged this sub in, I was dissappointed by the power level and the sound clarity (if I would have written the review then, it would have gotten 2 stars). However, after playing it for about 2 weeks (about 2 hours a day), the sound (and freq resp) opened right up. Super loud, clear bass that shakes the whole house. If I bought this at full price, I may have rated it at less of a value for the money (purchased on sale at 269!!!). I would probably only recommend this sub to people with large rooms (too much power for anything less than 250 sq ft), and larger speakers to make up frequency gaps. I have an open floor plan, tile floors, and 10; ceilings (layout that destroys sound), and it still fills the whole room with sound. Sound quality at this price level is unmatched! GREAT SUB! (Klipsch VF35 Towers, BA Center, Klipsch R-1650 rears powered by Yamaha RX-A700)

Klipsch SW-450 10-Inch 450watt Subwoofer (Black)
Pros: It looks good
Cons: Sound quality, high volume response, tendency to distort
After purchasing a complete Klipsch system so that everything would match, I wish I had gone another route with the powered sub. This one is ok, but nowhere near as good as other options for the price.
