I was totally thrilled by using this netbook. Everything is perfect to me so far. I didn't have any issue described in other reviews. I traded stocks everyday and needed to open quite a few java based trading and charting software at the same time. It's amazing that this netbook boots fast and bring up the applications fast. Moreover, it's the best price comparing to other brands. It came with 6 cell battery and maybe $50~$100 lower than other brands. Thanks to my friend who recommend this product.

At first i thought this thing wasnt ganna be that great, i tried the acer aspire one and was very dissapointed, however trying this on i was very pleased it is able to keep up!I can feel that it has its limitations, but it doesnt make them very obvius. ive pushed this thing to max and found out some interesting things: WEB BROWSING-great! will find web pages fast with good connection! STREAMING VIDEO-exceptional. it loas streaming video really fast, sometimes it lags on full scream but generally not at all in window mode. this is also dependent on other stuff your doing. GAMING- better than expected. it can play 3d games! this however along with streaming video drains the battery fast, so you will be using a power cord more than expected. but the battery life is still great! OVERALL- love it! great for my first laptop i think ill be hanging on to this sucker for a good long while! pros-good with mostly every basic computer faculty cons not good with high end stuff and media costs more

Just bought this from Amazon a month ago and I LOVE IT! It has everything I was looking for: Compact and lightweight Built-in webcam + microphone Long battery life (I don't have to drag the power cord around with me all day.) Built-in wireless card Plenty of memory Built-in SD card reader 3 (!) USB ports Ethernet port Super sleek and stylish, too! To me, it was an easy decision after a bit of research. This is the best for the price. The screen is plenty bright, and the battery still lasts 6-8 hrs. The keyboard is *slightly* smaller than a standard size one, and I adapted to it quickly. I really like the touchpad and the zoom function. The *only* minor annoyance is that its glossy finish gets smudged easily. I keep a lens-cloth in the case to shine it up. Problem solved. I was happy to buy it here--free shipping and no sales tax! It shipped quickly and arrived a few days before the estimated delivery date. If you decide this is the one for you, I hope you'll be as happy as I am

This was an evaluation unit to see how well netbooks would work for the company I work for. I used it for a couple weeks before sending it to my coworkers to be evaluated by our staff. It is much faster than an older Acer netbook with SSD I used previously -- there's much more functionality here than I originally anticipated. To cut to the chase -- I liked the evaluation enough that I bought one for personal use, though I got the next model up -- the 1005HA-PU1X-BK. For me, the extra cost was easy enough to justify the extended battery life & bluebooth, which the VU1X didn't have. Quick rundown: The battery life really does last as long as they say. I couldn't believe it. Of course, like anything else, it depends on what you're doing. If you attach an external optical drive and watch a movie, that tends to eat through the battery quicker. But if you're mostly web-browsing or typing up documents, you can get something very close to the advertised 8.5 hours. I was amazed. The performance

I ordered this computer as a gift for my son and daughter in law. Upon receiving the computer I promptly charged the battery and tested it to ensure that all was operating correctly. The unit was received promptly and very well packaged. All I had to do once the battery was charged (btw the battery did have a fairly full charge upon receipt but I went ahead and fully charged it anyway.) I ordered a 2gb memory chip along with the computer and installed it with no problem.A simple door is provided for access to the RAM memory so it is a no brainer to up grade the memory. The only thing I wasn't really happy about was the fact that the computer even though it is shipped with a 160 gb harddrive it is set up at the factory with 2 separate 80gb partitions. I would have preferred that it had been set up with only one 160gb partition. But that is no big deal. All in all I was happy with the product and my son and and daughter in law love it.
