This is obviously not the best phone out there with the greatest features. I'm one of those silly people who doesn't need to spend a ton of money on the cream of the crop for my home phone.
Batteries:
Replacing an old phone system because the batteries stopped charging. With this, I'll just be able to replace the AAAs.
Naming phones:
You can type a name into each handset, but you can't in-home call "bedroom," you have to call "2." You'll just know when you're holding phone #2 that you named it bedroom. I just helps me put the right phone on the right charging base, so phone 2 is where it should be, I suppose.
Range:
Reaches all around my house, no problem. From top floor of split level to basement (3 half-staircases below).
Sound Quality:
Speaker phone is easy (press 'call/answer' button again), but it would be nice if it was louder.
Caller ID:
I don't rely on Caller ID a lot, and now I've learned how to guess who it is. I

ok so I needed a new phone. I like this phone. You can give each handset a name, so u know which room it belongs to. you can "talk" to other ppl in the house. I can "cal/intercoml" my husband from downstairs. The phone has ringtones, speakerphone.
What I don't like is the screen. Most of the phones i had in the past showed the first & last name ,number, date n time of the caller. This phone, when it rings, only shows first few letters of last name- no number. So I cant even screen my calls. When the phone rings and phone displays "CELL PH" or "VERIZON" or the first few letters of last name like I said before. I dont know who it is!! It really stinks not knowing who's calingII The Caller ID menu STINKS. When you scroll it shows u the first few letters of last name on the screen, then you have to press a button to go to next screen which shows you the phone number, then press the button again to see the date n time. Why would PHILIPS make such a nice phone with those nice features
