Pros: Tiny, light, strong, sturdy, easy to type, well layed out keyboard, good aesthetics, fast, long battery life, very low cost, well layed out port map
Cons: Crap Acer version of Linux Fedora (Easy to change)!
This is a great option for any student, simple as that. This laptop has the equal power (when it was bought) to a £550 laptop, i payed only £185 for mine, plug it into a monitor & external mouse, keyboard. Problem solved? On the go - portable, easy to use, lightweight, sturdy
At home - takes up no space on your table like a laptop.
I instantly put windows 7 on this laptop via USB after a simple few procedures (format disk, add files!) the netbook was easily able to handle a USB installation, unlike MANY others. (It even works, tested, with iATKOS/hackintosh etc, yes, it's THAT compatible! especially with the intel chip). The original fedore is, okay, but quite lame.. like using a mobile phone really. Kinda useless. You can pay about £20 for a windows OS, if you're not so technically advanced.
My main point is, how great & fast this is for such a tiny machine, it's ridiculous. It has not yet crashed ONCE running high res windows 7 aero theme. Pushed quite hard infact with lots

Bought this as a late birthday present for $298 at Walmart and was thuroughly impressed; Pros; Speed, out of the box (after first set up) is quite fast, boot up time was less then 30 seconds. After removing all the unnecasary junk (original virus program was a memory hog) and did some tweaks in the msconfig program I can boot it up in about 23 seconds x) Portability, I have had this machine for about a month now and have been able to take it ANYWHERE its very light weight and very compact. Extras, YAY FOR DOO DADS!! this netbook came with a very nice little 1.3mp camera as a default item and it works like a charm. Keyboard, Whats the point of having a portabable computer if you can't type on it? do a spreadsheet or two? send an e-mail? Luckily this keyboard is VERY well done including a FULL shift key. Excellent fro browsing (as a matter of fact I'm using it to write this review) Mouse, If you've done your research, you'll see that alot of the other netbooks hav the annoying touchpad

Got this netbook about 2 weeks ago. I was hesitant at first in getting a netbook because of the lack of a cd drive and small amount of RAM. But after figuring what I would be using it for and the size and price it was the way to go. Reacts faster than my desktop computer. So convenient to carry the netbook, power cord and wireless mouse in a small nylon pouch.

The Aspire One D250-1165 (1.6GHz, 1GB memory, 160GB disk) is about as much laptop as you can get for $299. The touchpad is tiny and hard to find in the dark but the keyboard is just big enough to touch-type on, and I have gigantic hands. The machine is very light and easy to hold; when it's closed it's tiny and when it's open it's still pretty darned small. You can hold it by the hinge as if it were an open book and have an fantastic grip on it. I'm running Jolicloud Linux Alpha 2 and it runs very well, so this machine may also attract hobbyists, some of whom have already modified this system with compact flash storage (replacing the winchester drive) and made other modifications. The webcam is totally adequate for video chat, works well in low-light situations as promised, and works great under Linux as well. If you plan to be on the go frequently, consider purchasing a model with a 5500 mAh battery instead of the 2200 mAh. As you might imagine, it dramatically increases runtime. With

Took it to Prague, CZ with a MagicJack. Light weight and starts fast. A mouse is much easier to use than the touchpad. Made phone calls and surfed the Net without problem. Kepboard a little cramped.

It's a nice. lightweight, small computer with a good keyboard and display. Performance is miserable if you leave the spurious applications that came with it. After uninstalling McAfee, the nonsense games and software sales pitches and resetting the browser settings, including the home page setting, it works very well. Of course, it would work better if it did not have Vista -- October will show if Win 7 helps. Good luck.

I have been looking at a netbook for a couple of years but just wasn't sure it was what I wanted. I decided to sell my mac and started looking again for a smaller laptop. My husband talked me out of it saying that my HP was fine and I didn't need it. Well to my surprise two days later a netbook arrived in the mail. Happy Birthday! I love this netbook (I have the pink one). First thing I did when I pulled it out of the box was install a 2GB stick of RAM. Then I wiped the hard drive clean and did a dual boot with XP and Vista. (Don't forget to make your recovery discs!!) Getting the hard drive formatted took some hard work, and I had to use a linux install disk to get it wiped clean. But now it runs beautifully! It runs Vista really well and doesn't make it hot or over work at all. I've really not used the XP size but imagine it runs smoother than Vista. I love everything about it. I have no complaints. I will be looking for a 6 cell battery to give me some more life. I

I got this computer yesterday, after my other laptop crashed. I purchased it for $300, and I would gladly do it again. =] I really like the size ot the computer, but despite the size, the keyboard is quite comfortable, and the little computer seems fairly durable. As long as you don't have more than 2 windows open at a time, it is very fast. =] I really like the scrolling and zooming features right on the touchpad. To zoom, you simply put two fingers on the touchpad and spread them apart, which is an excellent feature for the small screen size. =] We'll see if I come across any problems in the future, and i will definately write another review. =]

The fan is LOUD! I checked online and everyone knows it, in fact they recommend free third party software that controls when the fan kicks in. Then later I saw that the battery was at 0%. It jumped from 100% to 93% to 3% to 0% to not present, then died. All this was with the power supply connected too. The only way around it is by going into safe mode but who wants that? Once again I checked online only to find all the Eee PC users laughing at this model because of the terrible battery. Some folks even sent the batteries in for service or exchange. I expect more out of a brand new machine. It went back.

I got this for my brother for his birthday and he loves it. Its a perfect size to fit anywhere. He was even able to fit it in his travel bag when he left for his trade school. I would totally recommend this item.

Terrific product. For traveling, its size & weight is perfect. It has sufficient ram & disk size for my (non-gaming) needs, which is Internet use, taking notes in libraries, & writing. Character fonts are extremely sharp, & I'm pleased at the variable screen brightness controls, so that I can use it in dark interiors and outside on sunny days. I'm 100% satisfied.

This model is fairly new. So it has the usual features, i.e. built in wi-fi, camera, 160 GB drive, etc, etc. This is the 3 hr battery model. I have no idea where Amazon gets their tech specs. We just bought this and the manual states that it comes with 1 GB of RAM, and is upgradeable to 2 GB. It recognized 4 wireless connections in my area the instant it was powered on. So far it's great for what it was bought for, the internet, small low demand games, music, simple word processing...
