I was out of town for work and desperately needed a flash drive. I bought one of these little jewels at Target for thirteen bucks and some change. I thought I was being smart and saving some money by buying the Dane-Elec as opposed to a Sony flash drive. I went to use it on my work pc and all I got was an error about a "USB Device not recognized." I hoped it was a fluke and tried it on my Mac......and.....nothing. It's now found a new home in the trash. I'll never buy another Dane-Elec product again, not that I ever should have in the first place.

I ordered a bootable flash drive with Linux Mint from another vendor. I didn't know which brand it was when I ordered it. When my package came, it turned out to be one of these. It's a very nice USB flash drive and it's capless. You just push the top and the connector pops out. I tried making bootable flash drives in the past, with little success. I think some other flash drives just aren't bootable. But this one is! Convenient design, fast, bootable and it works great. The drive in this ad does not come with a bootable OS. You have to make your own from an ISO file. You can download Linux ISO files at [...].
