Who should get this game? Those who really enjoy Wii Sports (which came included with the Wii console) and who don't mind buying the extra accessories.

When you first got the Wii, weren't you disappointed when you realized that you need to buy an extra Wii remote in order to play Wii sports with other family members or friends? Well, you will likely be disappointed again if you get Wii Sports Resort without knowing that you need a "Motion Plus" accessory and Wii remote for each player. There is a bundle that comes with 2 Motion Plus accessories so I suggest picking that up.

That said, my wife and I absolutely love this game - especially Archery, Basketball and Table Tennis. The "Motion Plus" adds an extra boost of realism to the games.

This is one of the best of the Wii games for the whole family. My 2 year old nephew loves to play it because he understands that if he moves the remote, the character moves. Even though there is no accuracy in his
game playing, it is fun to watch him as he plays against every family member because you can't get the remote away from him. Some games are harder to play than others, some are more exciting than others, but each game can be enjoyed by the whole family. The Ping-Pong game is the most challenging Wii game I have played. You go to a higher level each time you beat a Wii player, but they get better in playing against you. When you lose your level drops. You will not be disappointed if you buy this game. For what it is worth, I am 57 years old.

Great game, even for kids as young as 5. All the activities are fun for the whole family.

I would recommend paying $10 more now and getting the one with then 2nd wii motion plus since those cost $20 by themselves.

This is just a great game overall. It's much more fleshed out than the original Wii Sports and the resort theme that ties everything together is charming. None of the mini-games are less than fun. Fencing and archery are obvious standouts, but some of the other games like Frisbee and the island flyover are surprisingly addicting (Nintendo, please give us a Wii Pilotwings game with the island flyover controls!). This is how casual games on the Wii should be done.

Folks, This is without a doubt the most incredible entertainment bargain in my entire lifetime. EVERY game on this disc has nuances that beg you to come back. Good at all and master of none, we have had this since the release date this past summer, and we play it nearly every day. It would be well worth twice the price! We are in our mid-forties and rather than being slugs and watching uninteresting mind-numbing TV, we play this game. It is amazing how it has yet to be boring. I wonder if it's like visual/mental crack cocaine? I am addicted. My claim: I sleep better, I think more clearly, I have more friends, and I tossed my Enzyte in the trash! (Just kidding of course, but the game is awesome!) Simply Fantastic! I hope Wii Sports Resort II is being developed!

It's a great game. The best things are variety of activities and graphics. Graphics are amazing! But, some of the games can get boring very soon. But not quick enough to not buy the game. Good for all ages.

One of the main reasons that I bought a Wii is because I had played Wii Sports. I thought Wii Sports was amazing and I hoped that Wii Sports Resort would live up to the expectations that the original had created. Spoiler alert: it did.
Immediately upon starting the game, you are immersed in the action of Wuhu Island (the same island from Wii Fit) by skydiving out of a plane to reach the island. You control your person, while skydiving, by moving the Wii Remote. After this, the other games become playable, but you have to unlock different versions. The games are amazing and, like Wii Sports, are easy to play but difficult to master. A few of my favorite games include: Archery, Kendo, and the improved golfing. Nintendo did a great thing by creating Wii Motion Plus and took full advantage of it with this game.
Wii Sports Resort is probably one of the best Wii games out there and I highly recommend buying it.

Wii are just two, in our mid 40's, 7-5er's and we are not couch potatoes, we golf on the wkends, wii ride our bikes around the island, and he loves to hit the waves, but wii find the Wii so relaxing, so much fun, and at times a bit addicting, as wii are so competive. Our friends love to come over to play and also lean towards being competive. The games with the new motion enhancer are more challenging, and the variety is very nice. Wii think it was a great price, and have purchased the game and the Wii set up as a Santa gift for one of our friends...then they can all go to their house once in awhile. EAG Aiea HI

I mainly bought this game for the ping pong, and I wasn't disappointed. It is as close to the real thing as you can get. Much to my surprise, I found several other games that I like very much. The 3 on 3 basketball game is almost addictive. As an oldtimer (age 69) I find the swordplay speed slice a good way to sharpen my reflexes. I thought canoeing would be boring, but found it to be a good cardio exercise. What's not to like. You get a game that provides lots of fun, and provides exercise at the same time.

As soon as the Wii Sport Resort was announced, we knew we wanted it. There are activities for everyone. I enjoy the bowling and sword play. My son and daughter love the basketball. We like the idea of being able to create teams on some of the games. The competition gets a little fierce. Looking for a workout.... Sword play is it.

We bought this game about 3 days ago and have had lots of fun ever since. I think that all the different games there are on there is tons of fun. The only bad thing about it is if you don't have an extra wii motion plus it is a one person game then. At least it comes with one.

This is a great sequel to Wii Sports, but it isn't perfect. Some of the games are really excellent, the MotionPlus is good technology, but some of the games suffer from lack of Wii Balance Board compatibility, and so much of the game is aimed at multiplayer that you'll need to buy a second MotionPlus addon to really get the full game experience. Finally, while many of these games are lots of fun, as exercise they're not quite to the same level that Wii Sports was, a little less physically demanding, and if you're seeking a workout you'll have to work harder to get one here than you did in the original. Swordplay: This is the best showcase of the Wii Motion Plus, and is probably the best mix of exercise and gameplay out of all the minigames. At the higher levels, there's a real sense of blocking and striking, you need to look for your opponent's openings and keep yourself guarded, and it achieves a real, "natural" sense of engaging in sport kendo swordplay. It's fun and engaging and you

The original Wii Sports is the best-selling game of all time. I don't think it should count, since it is a pack-in with the Wii, but whatever. Nintendo hopes to advance it's popularity with a sequel, titled Wii Sports Resort. Wii Sports Resort takes place on Wuhu Island, and to get there you must skydive. I can't mention the games without mentioning the Wii Motion Plus. This adds extra sensors to the remote and makes it very responsive. You must calibrate it each time you put on Wii Sports Resort, but it didn't detract from anything. Let me tell you, this is motion control. It's like you are reaching out and touching the screen. It is terrific. Wii Sports Resort consists of 12 sport mini games, 2 of which return from the original Wii Sports (Bowling and Golf). These sports range from Archery to Basketball to Dueling. They are very fun and require a lot of skill and practice. Here are a few of the sports: 1. Frisbee - In Frisbee, you can throw a frisbee to a cute dog, which is very relaxing,

This is a great family game! The first night we bought it we ended up playing it for 4 hours straight. A big plus to this game is that there is something for everyone. My favorite was the archery-it felt realistic! My husband loved the cycling. With so many choices of games you can play for hours without getting bored!

I bought Wii resort sports a Great family fun game to enjoy.. my kids enjoy playing it. they really want the nerf swords.. to play the sword duel. it comes with wii motion which is great.. This game was sold out at the local best buy store I usually go to so had to go to another best buy to get. the Difficulty of the games are not really hard. however there is some challenge to them. Really all the games are fun. Glad I picked this up. totally recommend this for Family fun for everyone.

Love this. A definite improvement over wii Sports. It's challenging, different, fun, and with just the right amount of learning curve. I will admit I don't understand the need for calibration. I can't seem to notice the remote not doing what it's supposed to. But it only takes a second. Maximum enjoyment requires additional remotes with the Motion Plus.

This game is amazing for simple, easy family fun. The games can be picked up quickly and will provide a great deal of entertainment. Skydiving, cycling and archery are my favorites, but I enjoy all of the games. Earning stamps for achievements gives motivation and provides a bit of a challenge. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys picking up a game and being successful!

I was super excited to play this game at my regular Friday night get together with friends. It doesn't say anywhere on the packaging that if you want multi player you have to purchase a Wii motion plus for every player. This game is a scam to get you to buy more stuff. Since it's not indicated on the box anywhere that these accessories are required for play, I'll be attempting to get my money back.

I really liked the Sports that came with my Wii, but Sports Resort is much better...mainly because of the Motion Plus. The only 2 games that are the same from Sports are bowling and golf. With bowling and golf in Resort, you have SO much more control over what your ball is doing. Not only do you have more ball control, you have more to do within each game. bowling has a 100 pin game and a game where you have to bowl around blocks to hid the pins behind them. In golf, you can choose different courses and if you wanted to play 3, 9 or 18 hole games. This game (like most other games out there) it's more fun to play against your friends or family instead of solo. I don't have many games for my Wii, but I have traded in a few that I didn't like to buy this one. This one is a keeper for sure. Sports = Fun Sports Resort = Fun x2 Play = Avarage Guitar Hero = Fun Party Games 2 = Not good Carnival Games = Really bad

Remember all those years ago, back in 2006, when the Wii was first introduced? Who didn't enjoy that sense of wonder when they picked up a Wii-mote, swung it behind them, and then swung it forward, releasing the bowling ball and getting their first strike? Or how about holding it sideways, and steering your Excite Truck to victory? That sense of wonder has since all but faded from the masses, as the Wii hasn't really released anything game-changing in a while. Wii Sports Resort changes all that. The sword fighting is frantic, the archery is challenging, and the improved bowling makes me realize how much I actually suck at bowling. Putting a curve on the ball in table tennis, and watching your opponent's Mii dive for it as it bounces past them is immensely satisfying as well. I also like the frisbee golf a lot more than the regular golf. All in all, Wii Sports Resort is a true return to form for the Wii, and rekindles that sense of wonder that had all but burnt out from a long period

Wii Sports Resort is a fun creative collection of games which remind me of being at summer camp. The graphics here are a lot richer, a huge improvement over Wii Sports and Wii Play. The Motion Plus provides more remote feedback. It does read and project your more subtle wrist movements and that makes games you have seen before, like ping pong, take on new dimensions and are more fun. It makes the whole gaming experience just plain better. There is also a game in here for every mood. Feel like being really active, then paddle a canoe or pick up a sword. Just want sit back and relax? Go for a flight around the island. Also, these games are fun regardless if you are 1 player or 4 players. They are also fun and easy to learn for any age. The point of every game is obvious if your are 8 or 80, unlike some of the other games in Sports and Play. This I think makes play for first time Wii users, like Grandparents, less overwhelming, and vastly reduces time needed to explain. It really is family

I am 16 and I am teaching my grandma, with her permission, 69 how to use the Wii. We have only had the game a week and we have had so much fun together and, as an extra added bonus, it has kept us from watching TV and out of the kitchen. She is good at the bowling and is teaching me how to be to make strikes but I am destroying her at everything else and that isn't going to change. Grandma says "That's what he thinks." LOL

Just got the game this weekend and have been playing it ever since. I especially love the basketball game. The way you play the archery game is crazy, in that you have to pull back the bow with the nunchuck. They have revamped the bowling and golf games (from Wii Sports) and they are great as well. I have no complaints about this game. Fun for the whole family.

After having more Wii Sports bowling fun than should be allowed, I was eager to try the new sports in Resort. On the whole, most of the new game modes are incredibly fun, though markedly less so in single player. The new games really showcase the capabilities of the MotionPlus peripheral. The spatial control afforded by the device is really impressive and the potential for some amazing play experiences in the future are apparent... which brings me to my point... while fun, none of the events stand out as particularly amazing. Mostly because there simply isn't much depth to the events in wii Sports Resort. Considering that the title has the price of a full-fledged A+ title, Nintendo really could've and should've hit the ball out of the park by including online multiplayer or at the very least, online leaderboards. If you are the most skilled in your household, you'll find little reason to keep trying to better your score. It really needed to be opened up to a global level of competition.

This was incredibly fun. Ive played every game on it and it's quite addicting. Everyone from 5-90 will love it. Definately puts wii sports 1 to sleep. The only thing that upset me was the fact that to play 2 players you need 2 wii motion plus adapters. Oh and in case you were wondering the wii motion plus is incredible. It makes the gameplay seem more realistic.

This is by far the best game on the Nintendo Wii console out there!
The Wii MotionPlus feature is outstanding, it really enhances gameplay with increased levels of accuracy, achieving a much more realistic feeling. The most life-like game I've ever played.

I recommend this game to everyone who enjoys taking video gaming to the next level.

The Good -12 brand new addictive games to play with the whole family. The return of water racing! I've been a long time Waverace fan and have waited a very long time for a sequel to be release. The graphics aren't as fancy as you'll get on the other game machines, but they are an impovement over the first Wii Sports. Lots of different modes to unlock on the games. The Bad -The introduction video is bland and is required the first time you start the game up. It shows you how to insert the Wii Remote into the new Wii MotionPlus sleeve. Anyone can figure it out without the need to waste time watching the video. Also, the lack of any type of online feature is disapointing. By now, Nintendo should be implementing online multiplayer or at least leaderboards into all their titles. [...]

Its a really great game. Its 100% better than regular wii sports because it has so many more games you can play. Its also really cool because you unlock new games just by playing. Wii motion plus is nice because the wii remote responds better; but you don't notice it too much.

I was very excited nintendo didn't just stop and ride the success of the first wii sports. I'm happy they tried to one up themselves and this one to me feels more like a game than the first. They both showcased the system controller advantages and blue-printed a formula for other developers. Every game is fun and the basketball game has a lot of promise, not so much the pick up game. I wish the sword fight could've been a little more realistic. I was really waited to play that one but of course nintendo had to do something so you couldn't simply just beat everyone. Anyways this is a great game to play with family and friends. Highly recommended.

This game rocks! Oh where do I start. Well first off, push the buy button now because you will not regret this purchase. The graphics are amazing for a Wii sports game. They have really put a lot of thought into this game. Wii Motion Plus adds a lot to the gameplay. My mom and I love to play archery and canoeing and my Dad and I like to play basketball, table tennis, and golf. My mom and dad were never involved in video games until now and they can actually beat me! I personally like to play cycling, air sports, and sword play. Well actually I love to play all of them. It is so much fun to play with friends. In fact I am have my family over later today just to play this game. Make sure that you get a few more Wii Motion Pluses so that you can play against family and freinds. I think the Wii Motion Pluses are offered at a reasonable price so that you are able to get a few extras. To sum it up, this is possibly the best game for the Wii. I honestly don't remember the last time that I pre-ordered

My copy of Sports Resort arrived this week but last night was the first opportunity to try it out and explore it a bit. All I've done so far are three of the twelve games - bowling, Frisbee toss, and the floatplane. The Motion Pluss accessory (included with Sports Resort) is a very noticeable but then very transparent upgrade to Wii motion control. It's noticeable in that the control with the Wiimote is immediately much more precise and accurate. The best thing for Nintendo to do would be to integrate these new electronics into the standard Wiimote instead of making it into an add-on piece with a new silicone sleeve. Just an opinion, though. The fact is that control is much better now. And it's totally transparent in that all you notice is how much better the control is. Everything else is the same - you use it the same, hold it the same, etc. My hands-down favorite Wii Sports game is bowling. I don't need the Wii Sports CD any more now that I have Sports Resort. The bowling game is the

Most Wii games are garbage and are better on other platforms. This game is what the Wii was made for. It is fun, simple, and uses the Wii controller the way it was designed. The Wii motion plus definitely gives the controller a more accurate feel (which you can tell when playing bowling and golf, b/c you can compare it to the old Wii sports). It is definitely 1 to 1--there is no delay like in some other Wii games. I haven't even played every game on here yet, but just what I have played so far makes this games a 5 star game. I love wakeboarding. Bowling is awesome--I love playing with the barriers, and the spin/accuracy is improved. The three point shootout is fun. The frisbee game is cute. Golf is much improved (but I still wind up playing Tiger Woods 10 instead). Archery is fun. Sword fighting is a blast. Haven't yet played the canoeing, cycling or the power racing games yet. This game is a must have for the Wii.

This game is pretty fun. There are many games to choose from, such as wakeboarding, skydiving, basketball, archery, table tennis, and frisbee. Additionally, you can unlock different game modes. The only major drawback that I can think of is that sometimes you have to set your wii remote on a flat surface; this will help the motion plus calibrate itself.

If you have a party or get-together, play this game.

Fun for every age and skill level
- For the little ones, there are practice modes and beginner difficulty levels
- For the casual gamer, plenty of fun variations on the different games
- For the hard-core, increasing difficulty levels and lots of "stamps" to win

* Don't pass this game up thinking you have to buy three more accessories. You can easily get away with having only two Wii Motion Plus adapters. Only the multiplayer canoeing games require all players at one time. The game includes one, so either buy one more or buy another game that comes with one.

I guess i really haven't seen the big difference with the Motion controller, it honestly feels the same. I think it would be better had it had the option to purchase the motion controller or not. and then on most games in order for 2 people to play you have to have 2 motion controllers. Overall the game is cool, some of the games could have been replaced with something better like the (water ski) but I guess it was a good purchase.

When I saw the game I couldn't wait for the the release date to get it. M`y wife and I love to play the wii games together. The day it came out it was nearly 90 degrees in Seattle. It was kind of refreshing playing the water sports. we really liked the archery, sword fighting and the jet ski's. The table tennis is awesome as well. You can really put some spin on the ball. I would recommend this games to everyone! the motion plus is great. The conrols are very responsive.

This game is amazing. there are 12 games to play including ping pong, wakeboarding, basketball and many more. It's also challenging for some of the games like canoeing and frisbee. The graphics have gotten a lot better since the orignal wii sports. I enjoy using the wii motion plus with the sword fighting because it records all movements you make with the motion plus. This game is definetly worth buying.

A lot of games that will keep you and the kid entertained. A lot of activities that will keep you moving especially the cycling game. My favorite is the archery, canoeing, and basketball games. The basketball pick up game is very slow, every time you block a shot the other team take the ball out and begins from half court. But overall this game will change the gaming scene again.
