The HD picture is amazing, especially for sports. The standard definition picture is acceptable. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I have no complaints about the picture quality, which I think is the most important aspect of a TV, and I feel like I got a good deal on the price through Amazon. However, I do have a few complaints about other aspects of the TV. 1) The remote buttons are small and the user menu is not very intuitive. 2) For those of you who don't have a surround sound system, the TV speakers aren't very good, especially for larger rooms. 3) My most significant complaint is I can hear the color wheel. It makes a high pitch whining noise that becomes very noticeable during the evening when the volume is low. I had a TV repairman replace the color wheel after 2 weeks, but it's still making the noise. I called him back, he heard the noise, contacted Mitsubishi and they said it was within spec, thus there wasn't anything he could do about it. Not what I wanted to hear.

The TV looks amazing. I am blow away by how far DLPs have come in the last few years. It's a shame they are dying out. I know plasma has better black levels and contrast, but for the price, DLPs can't be beat. The picture quality is really amazing. On the natural setting the colors were near perfect according to my friend who professionally calibrates TVs. We had to adjust the contrast and brightness a bit, but other than that the TV needed almost no adjustment. I left the deep field imager enabled as I didn't notice any drop in shadow quality in dark scenes (I used Planet Earth HDDVDs to check). My buddy has a very sensitive eye for rainbow, and while he did see it, he said it was much less noticeable than on most other DLPs he's seen, save for Samsung's LED DLP TV's, but those aren't in production anymore. The colors are great. My wife and I were looking over our wedding photos and the colors were perfect. It was like being right back there on the big day. Planet Earth in

This tv set is worth every penny! I have no problems with it at all and it offers a "huge" bang for the buck! Even at 60 inches it still gives you all the clarity of 1080p you could want. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the picture when I went to Ultimate Electronics to evaluate this model. I was actually looking at 3 other, much more expensive, sets but this one got some pretty good reviews so I went back to U.E. to put this thing through its paces. I was very very happy, to say the least. Now I had a problem with the settings right out of the gate because I was listening to the experts on this and they were way off base. Their settings made the picture far to soft for my taste considering I just replaced a CRT HDTV which had really good HD itself. So here are my TV viewing settings for daytime viewing. Picture Mode: Brilliant Contrast: 36 Brightness: 28 Color: 20 Tint: 26 Sharpness: 35 (Be sure to adjust this to get rid of any noise. Tweak

We bought my son an Xbox360 for Christmas and wanted to get a larger TV with HD for the family. After shopping for 42" to 50" plasma TV's by reputable brands we noticed a similar price for the 60" Mitsubishi DLP HDTV. I was hesitant at first because I love the deep colors of plasma and wanted to get away from projection TV's as they are heavy and bulky. We did some research weight/picture ect and decided to give it a shot. This is by far the best TV I've ever had. It is surprisingly thin and light for a rear projection, it can easily be moved by two average adults without feeling back broken afterwords. The HD color is just a good as plasma and none of those annoying pixels when the action gets to fast. Non HD channels are a little dark in the daytime but nothing to worry about. The XBOX 360 games look awesome on it.

I bought this dlp after reviewing the LCD and plasma LCD requires a backlight replacment plasma requires a whole new television after seeing what has lasted the longest out all previously made tvs projection has soared over the rest DLP does require a light change but I have had my tv for over a year now with a child who does nothing but watch tv and no bulb replacment required yet.The sound out of this tv is poor quality if you have a surround sound system that dosent make a big diffrence considering the price.I have an XBOX360,PS3,WII,PC with HDMI out all hooked up to this tv and I am very pleased with this tvs performance the 1080p is crystal clear and blu ray movies are in great definition overall this tv is great performance low maintenance and cheap 60inch tv for 1099.00 can you ask for a better deal?

It did pretty well although there were some issues with video processing and resolution clarity to maximum HD output. But it compensates all the minor weak spots by delivering excellent color, contrast and fine black details.
