I had read a bad review about the battery life on this phone and almost didn't buy it. While my wife and I were at the store we both liked the look and feel so much we decided to give it a try anyway. The last several times we purchased new cordless phones we had to exchange them 3 or 4 times before we found one that worked good enough so why not give it a try.
Because of the bad review on battery life the first thing I did after letting them charge for 24 hours was take one off the charger and let it sit on the table for 38 hours. I then called a local info line where I could listen to a recoreded message that played over and over again. I switched the phone to speaker (and that uses battery power faster than normal use) and listened to the message for over two hours while I worked on my computer. After 38 hours off the charger and 2 hours on the speaker phone I still had 2 bars on the 3 bar charge indicator.
The sound quality has been great, I have enven had people tell

THIS PHONE IS TERRIBLE WHEN YOU HAVE AN INCOMING CALL AND YOU ANSWER YOU CANT HEAR THE PERSON ON THE PHONE I HAD TO KEEP SAYING HELLO, EVEN WHEN I USE THE SPEAKER. WHEN YOU MAKE A CALL SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T CONNECT.

I needed a good house phone so I decide to get this phone. biggest mistake of my life. It battery life is short. frankly just don't buy this phone you will regret it.

This is a good-looking and sleek phone that does the job, but not much more. The good: The DECT 6.0 works well with clear sound. Range turns out to be better than the 5.8Ghz phone that it replaced. Battery life turns out to be good, we'll see how that holds up over time. It looks more expensive than it it. Most other phones (e.g. panasonic, Uniden) are eyesores. The bad: Feature-wise this is a very basic phone. Of the many phones that I've had in the past 10 years, this one has the fewest features and fewest menu items. It does what it needs to do. Handset cannot be given a name like 'kitchen', or 'bedroom', so when using the intercom you'll need to guess. The ringtones options are some simple beeps that would have impressed me in 1980, but not in 2009. The handsets do not stand stand very steadily in the charger cradle. Finally, a oordless home phone that doesn't look like a lump. Works great. No problems (just don't drop the handsets too often - they won't take a lot of abuse). The Dect 6.0 is a plus.
