I had this camera for 4 weeks until I had to return it. I previously had a Kodak EasyShare, which took way better pictures than this much more expensive model. I read the entire manual twice and practiced using all the different scenes and features, but the pictures were still so blurry that the people and animals in them actually looked like ghosts. I spent a lot of time on the phone with Sony technical experts, trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, but everything they told me to do, I was already doing. I traded this in for the Nikon Coolpix L100, which is very comparable to this one, but seems much easier to use. I've only had it for a week and I've already figured out how to take amazing pictures with it. I'm so pleased I was able to trade because the Sony was so frustrating and I was so sick of missing out on great shots.

I love this camera!! I also did my homework & read so many different reviews for many different cameras. The Sony H20 is amazing. There are so many feature in one sturdy, compact, powerful camera! I love the smiley face feature! I have 4 small kids and just waiting for a smile can make time go way slow... With the press of the smiley face feature, once someone shows those cute teeth, the camera snaps the picture automatically! I just love that. The price for this camera you just cannot beat esp if you buy it on Amazon.com (free ship, no tax!Sales tax in CA, brutal) There are so many features on this camera but if you just want to leave it on the auto mode, the camera responds beautifully.The LCD screen is nice and large. Overall, I am so glad i did my research and made this purchase. Sony has an outstanding product.

I really like Sony digital cameras. I've been using my DSC-F707 5MP forever. It really did a nice job all the way around shooting indoors, outdoors, action and stills. But it recently broke from old age so I headed out to Best Buy to pick up a replacement.
The Sony Cyber-shot 10.1-MP did a pretty good job shooting everyday items around the house, inside and out, both in bright light and somewhat dark situations. The color was for the most part vibrant and details were more often than not clear.
Where the camera struggled was in shooting subjects in motion. I purchased this camera primarily to shoot riders at my local motocross track. It seemed almost all of the action shots came out somewhat blurred, even having tried to shoot them using all of the different settings the model offers. It did an ok job shooting motion but did not capture the level of detail and focus I require.
For the price I think this is a great starter camera for someone not particularly interested

This little gem is a packed full of goodies in a very affordable and clean package. The 10x zoom was just what I was looking for couples with the 10 mp. I have a bag full of point and shoot digital cameras. The Sonys have always been my favorate. The photos are crisp and sharp. I have printed to 12x18 and the results are wonderful. I regularly use a pro digital Canon SLR but for non-business family times it is nice to have such a compact point and shoot with the features of this beauty. The only changes I would like is a viewfinder and a cover for the cable connection.
Fits great in a belt case, a Lowepro Rezo 50 with extra battery and memory card(also purchased at B&H)!

The camera is great and takes beautiful pictures, video. I have a few issues with the camera, but they are not big enough that I would not buy it again. First off, there is a manual lens cap, which is slightly annoying. Secondly, the camera does not come with a cable to hook up to a HDTV. You have HD video and I would think that you would want to hook it up to a HDTV. To do that, you need to purchase an additional cable @ $39.99, which was kind of a bummer. Lastly, the placement of the USB/power cable is in a very funny spot. It is on the bottom of the camera. This means that when you plug it in, you need to rest the camera either on the lens side or screen side, either of which are not good choices. I am very suprised that Sony would not realize that this is a terrible spot for the cord. All in all though, this is a great camera. Highly recommended.
