Pros: Accurate Controls, Clear Signal, Compact, Good Sound
VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS PURCHASE. WANTED AN ADDITIONAL WEATHER RADIO AND THE EMERGENCY LIGHTS AND SIREN. GREAT FM RECEPTION ALSO. WANTED THE VARIOUS POWER SOURCES ALSO. PURCHASED THE OPTIONAL AC ADAPTER. GOOD LITTLE PACKAGE.

Hand crank for 50 cranks and you get about 2 minutes of play. Second set of batteries didn't perform any better. Solar works only in direct bright sunlight. No A/C adapter provided. Correct one is overpriced. Unreliable. Mine will not charge any more - can only play with solar or when on DC. WAY overpriced for what you get. Junk!

I bought this radio and took it on a trip to the woods to try it out. I charged it from my computer before leaving, so the onboard batteries were fully charged and it had new AA in it too. Using either sunlight or the crank, it was easy to keep the batteries fully charged, which left the AAs for backup use only. I could easily receive 4 of 7 weather channels where I was and they all came in clearly. The other bands worked equally as well. The little red signal light seems silly and useless, but, you never know. It is also crazy that this radio is not weatherproof! Come on, and emergency weather radio that may fail due to inclement weather, or from being out on the boat with you???? Take the money that went to the signal light and siren and put it toward sealing up the case. That's really my only knock on this radio so far.

Nice picture, but an inferior product. It laid a bit more energy to manufacture so perhaps the product had lived up to what was promised in the description. Would be happy to have such a nice radio that really worked and it came with a poweradaptor. but ... everything is not perfect.

I got this for emergencies and as a back up radio. I got it to work the first day I got it and tried it again about a month ago and the hand crank will not charg, and it will not tune in AM/FM. Big wast of money on my part...NOT HAPPY!!!

The antenna is a joke. Reception is worse than poor. It doesn't get stations that come in very easily on other radios. It runs for about a minute and shuts itself off (new batteries didn't help). It is just plain junk of which the manufacturer should be ashamed.

And dont count on buying a power adapter from eton. They are out of stock and don't expect to have one for at least 30 more days. Did you ever buy consumer electronics and found out the power adapter is not included?
