The picture quality and resolution is wonderful. For the money, this is a great Monitor, except for one thing, the builtin speakers are horrible. Purchase external speakers. Outside of the speakers this a great monitor and I woud recommend it.

This is one of the best monitors I have ever seen and by far the best one I have owned. Right out of the box I was amazed to find that, even at the low price, it came with a DVI cable, VGA cable, and an HDMI cable! An HDMI cable is upwards of 30-40 dollars at Best Buy! I thought that was a great value considering i use DVI to hook it too my computer and now i have an HDMI cable for my tv. But anyways This monitor looks great. It was plug and play with no problems running on XP. The high resolution makes this monitor extremely useful for multiple applications at once. (I am a music producer so it really helps me.) You can view this monitor from many angles too with no distortion. I really like the touch pad to control various options for the monitor. Overall this monitor is perfect for my needs and almost anyone's needs. I would put this in the class of monitors that range from 300-400 dollars. At its price it is a steal. 5 Stars.

It has taken a little time to get use to the widescreen affect for a PC monitor, but the display is HD quality, pictures are sharp, sharp, sharp!!! The audio portion is OK, but not great. I have additional less expensive external digital speakers with better quality. I didn't buy it for the built-in-speakers. I need to upgrade my computer to get the touch-screen capabilities!!! Can't wait.

I went to best buy intent on buying a dell 24" monitor for $279.99, and then I saw a sale item LG for $239.99 that looked AMAZING, but it had a glossy screen and I can't stand seeing lights and my own reflection in a monitor, it messes with my head and eyes, so a matte finish was a must for me. Then I saw the Acer for $209, what a deal! First it has all cables included! 6 foot hdmi cable, dvi-d cable, vga cable, audio in 1/8" cable, and of course the power cable. It also has integrated speakers, which is a nice touch (and ended up saving me in my setup). I hooked my computer to the vga port and my xbox to the hdmi port. The problem with the xbox 360 is that the port for the audio and the port for the hdmi are too close together, you can't plug both in at the same time. I could either buy a $50 microsoft audio cable thingie or crack the plastic on the standard cable. I cracked the plastic on the standard component audio cable and it still didn't fit quite right! This is a good monitor for the price it's at. Would be very hard to find a full 1080p, 23" wide screen for less right now. The picture is bright with very good contrast which makes for easy viewing.
There are a few downsides also. The view angle tilt can only be adjusted slightly upward or downward and there is no height adjustment. My personal problem I had with the monitor was stuck on pixels. The first one I picked up had one blue and one bright green pixel stuck on. I exchanged that monitor for a second one and it has a stuck on red pixel. While some may say a few dead or stuck pixels are ok, I feel a new product should be 100% from the factory. Will most likely return the monitor for a refund.
