As an engineer, I appreciate the challenge of creating a good design. Good design is simple, robust, easy to install and good looking. Hanging my expensive LCD TV on a mount attached to the wall with 2 screws was a little unnerving. But this is a sturdy and well designed mechanical device. The best feature, aside from the simple installation, is the ability to simply position your TV in any location and have it stay precisely where you left it. No thumbscrews or bolts to adjust each blasted angle, looking at the result, readjusting again and again until you are ready to reach for the valium! Just set it and forget it! Can't get better and easier than that! No use even considering another product. Add it to your cart now!
Hint: Buy this mount before you buy your TV, mount it to the wall, run your wiring, so when your spiffy new TV arrives later, it takes you about 5 minutes before you are tuning out the world and marvelling at the wise purchase you made!

Highly recommend! This is the second peerless wall arm we have bought and installed and they are both working out well. They seem to be a strong support for our TV's and they were not difficult for my husband to install. The swivel bracket gives us an unlimited choice of angles to turn the TV's.

Simple, easy to install, works well. I'm cheating and using it for a 42" LCD, which works great though I wouldn't recommend doing as I did since it's outside of the manufacturer's spec. And it's a bit scary for a TV that big to be on an arm of this size.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my parents for a 40 inch Samsung LCD TV. It works great and is very sturdy. The TV weighs 40 pounds and the mount is rated for 80 pounds. The swivel and tilt are great. You can fold the TV flat against the wall if you want, especially if you need to access behind the TV if you mount in a corner area. We mounted the TV in a corner bookshelf area left of a fireplace. Just make sure to use a stud finder to find the exact center of the studs for mounting. The exact mount was the Peerless Articulating LCD Wall Arm for 22 inch to 40 inch LCD Screens - Black (SA740P)

Great Item. I hung a 40" Samsung LCD using this Wall Arm. I can extend the arm to full length with no sag. The TV swings to almost 90 degrees when fully extended.
The arm was simple to install using the hardware provided. I will definitely buy this amr again for my next installation.

This is a terrific and extremely sturdy mount. I support a signficant quantity of A/V equipment for my employer (although my full time job is actually IT) and have come in contact with many different mounting options. I have seen very few mounts of such high quality, particularly when considering the pricing places it within range of residential markets. I HIGHLY recommend this mount. Be informed however that it does stand out from the wall about 1.5 inches so be sure to account for that depth in your planning.

Just put my 40 inch Westinghouse LTV-40W1HDC LCD up in my living room this weekend, using this mount. Like most other reviewers have said, it is rock solid! I let my GF hang on this to test it before I mounted our TV. It didn't budge. I am fully confident in this mount's construction. The adjustability cannot be beat, if you want to watch TV from nearly any angle, this mount is for you. I did a lot of research prior to buying this mount, and the price, the quality, and simplicity of this product are unbeatable. Highly recommended! :-)

Second arm I've bought. Great function. Smooth against wall. Easy to install. Use Phillips #3 when drilling screws into wall with power drill, otherwise head of screw strips too easily.

This is a great wall mount that moves away from the wall, rotates and tilts. Then you can easily put the TV back in place flush against the wall when finished. Very sturdy. Just drill two holes into a stud and there you go! Like a previous review mentioned, I too have a 32 inch Toshiba 32HL66. This fit without any additional adapter plates. I was a little worried ahead of time that it might not fit my TV. Going to their website was useless. Here is what you need you know: On the back of your TV are 4 threaded holes. They either form a rectangle or square. All you have to do is measure two adjacent sides. As long as they are either 75mm, 100mm or 200mm; this mount will fit with no additional brackets. The price was about half of a less sturdy model at Best Buy. You won't be unhappy with this one!

I wasn't sure what to expect, but now I can say it is exactly what I wanted, nice sleek design with a corn concealer...and very strong. I mounted my 26" Toshiba LCD to it. Make sure you get the bracket on the wall vertically level or you will need to adjust the TV tilt on the mounting bracket to get the TV level in varous positions. I would strongly recommend this product.

I just finished installing this mount for my 32" Sony LCD, and I am very happy with my selection. After looking at dozens of mounts online, this one stood out right away for its aesthetics and clean lines. I saw many articulating arms in the $200+ range that appeared to be over engineered and frankly were not as clean as this peerless mount.
It was very easy to install the single stud mounting system, once I was able to find the stud. The screws it comes with are definitely heavy duty, and my only hang up was being able to screw them in all the way. Had to MacGyver it with a drill screw bit and a wrench for leverage, but eventually I got it in. Definitely no worries there in the mount being able to support my 32" Sony.
The mount appears to be made very well. Heavy duty and not flimsy. I was also impressed with the fact that there was enough clearance for my 32" tv to rotate 90 degrees either way. A little effort is required to swivel out the TV, but the viewing angle tilt works perfect.

I purchased a 32" flat panel LCD HDTV for our bedroom and wanted to wall mount it to get it off the floor and take advantage of it's thin profile. The problem was finding decent mounting systems at our local "Big Box" electronic stores. Not to mention the high price. After a lengthy Internet search, I settled on this brand and model. We wanted to be able to move our TV to different positions (while still being fixed mounted on the wall) so we could watch it from various points in our bedroom (from the bed, from a sitting area, from the bathroom, etc). Most of the mounts I found on the Internet cost a fortune and did little more than tilt your TV up and down. This Peerless arm does so much more. It swings, swivels, and tilts to virtually any viewing angle you can imagine or need. Plus the mounting plate will fit virtually any LCD or plasma model. I suggest visiting the Peerless web site for specific information regarding compatibility with your TV brand and model.
