The HP TouchSmart IQ770 can use a standard DVDR because of the construction of the case. I believe than what is described here is the one needed for the TouchSmart PC.
You'll have to check with Buy.com about their return policy, but as long as its an internal drive it should fit any standard internal slot. I'm not sure this is the best choice for you as most DVD writers are usually much cheaper and readily available at multiple stores.
I am trying to replace DVD writer that was in my hp touchsmart computer IQ770?) when delivered to me. The drive had been compromised, and does not work. It appears that part is DVD Writer Model TS-T632 (V/M SATS-T632L, P/N 5188-5477). My question is two-fold: Will this part fit in my computer? And - What is your return policy?
